    I agree with Frogga ( goes against the grain but there you are!) that you should have been posting long ago elljay...you have certainly made your subconscious a useful tool...will give that a go and the 'doing it now' tip as well, thank you so much.

    Today I have eaten:

    Toasted ham and cheese sandwich, cup coffee;
    Bowl of thick homemade veg and chicken soup...very little chicken in it;
    Large lamb chop, steamed cauliflower and broccoli, glass water.

    Plan on keeping snacks to seeds, nuts or fruit with water

    Hi all, well done on all the weight losses everyone.
    Well done on getting the PE kit back frogga.

    Be careful mrsm - you don't want to overdo things and end up poorly again ;)

    Thanks for the tips elljay.

    Haven't done the hot chocolate spoon one but do have to confess to eating nutella by the teaspoonful (or desert spoon) in an attempt to get a choc fix ;)

    hi all

    well, I am feeling really pleased with myself today. I was running a conference at a local hotel, and did not eat any of the free busicuits, and I didn;t have pudding at lunch time.
    and, I had size 16 trousers on. Not bad - 11 weeks ago I was a fat size 20 (really a 22 but refusing to admit I had got that fat again)
    I have now lost 2 stone, but it is great to see it in clothes

    I do think that this time thanks to the tips on this site I am being more sucessful at losing weight - and also cheating a lot more, so I do not feel so deprived.
    Elljay - thanks for the tips - I wont take you up on the mung beans - I always end up with dried up beans where we forget to water them, but I agree with your not having things in the house.

    Hugs to everyone else

    Well done on all the losses.

    Thanks for the votes of encouragement - we'll see how I get on next week although I have got my Christmas do on Thursday night and then it's my birthday on the following Sunday so there will be lots of temptation!

    Hope everyone is well

  • Rockie, MrsM, Alibow, hgbels - well done on the losses:T ! and MrsM for goodness sake swallow your pride :D and get yourself a " wally trolley "

    Pigpen, meanmarie – fret ye not. It WILL go back off again. Don’t forget those loosening trousers meanmarie !

    Bobbadog, your post made me giggle, damnable yoghurt raisins are going to take over the planet, us puny humans are powerless to resist ;)

    Frogga – HUZZAH for found PE kits !! I bet the tadpole is going to be as careful as anything with it now ! mung beans – you should be able to get them from most supermarkets ( occasionally in the ethnic section ) but if not, then health food shops should do them.

    Elljay – welcome and thanks for the tips post ! I normally freeze down bread and grated cheese to stop me doing exactly the same thing, cant atm as have to keep freezer clear for a farm shop delivery next week. I have been known to dip my finger into the Horlicks or Options powder too ;)

    Newlywed – yep I do the Nutella thing sometimes as well :o

    Had a lovely day despite the rain. Best bit was all the folks dressed up in period costume and talking in character, and some wonderful little musical and theatrical goings on all over the place. Lots of lovely food and drink all over the place - if the weather had been better it would have been easier to take advantage of the healthier options from the various market stalls, but sadly got driven indoors to the overpriced cafe place for late lunch. Did lots of walking though, my feet are killing me now !

    So, food went :
    Bacon roll for breakfast ( roadside stall so bog standard bacon but nice for all that )
    Ginger latte and a mince pie ( I don't even like mince pies but it was free and my friend doesnt eat them so I didnt want to waste it ! )
    Apple juice and about 1/3rd of an extremely nasty plate of sausage roll and chips - probably one of the most horrible things I've ever attempted to eat. I really wanted a baked potato but they'd ran out, they didnt seem to do salads etc. I hate wasting food, so much, but there was no way I was going to finish that pile of mank !

    Relaxed but v tired and achy. Don't really want to cook and have been debating a takeway but theres nothing I really fancy locally. Think I'm going to have tinned veggie curry - not very OS I know, but organic and tasty - rice, yoghurt, chutney and tomato & onion salad.

    Have a good evening all !

    Mmm, newlywed, nutella. (are you really newly wed? If so, congratulations!) If I had that in the house I'd have quite quickly scoffed the lot. I know my weaknesses and I have no will power, for some reason my logic seems to tell me that if I eat it all up there will be no more temptation so in goes the spoon for a bit more!

    And kittyscarlett, having bread or cheese in the freezer is no help at all. It's far too easy to defrost so not having it in is the only way for me.

    Hgbels, I've been wearing size 16 trousers today too, I bought them a few weeks ago and they were too tight round the thighs but today they're fine. I need advice on how to take in all the 18s and dare I say it, the size 20s that I also have. It was finding I was most comfortable in 20 that made me decide that something had to be done!

    Thanks for all the welcomes.
    Liz
