Morning Guys,
Well , the Whippet is fine , phew!
The PE kit hasn't yet appeared although Tadpole 1 has promised to look hard at school incase someone took it back in , she'll also ask at the office ( although I did phone them yesterday and they hadn't got it) to see if it is there. If we do have to replace it tadpole has said she will pay for it. I really want to say "yes!" , but everyone makes mistakes and that feels a bit cruel, we'll see.
Alibow ~ LOVE the piccys, you are a clever !!!!!! :T
Kitty ~ hope you feel better today and fingers crossed your package arrives
Rockie ~ well done on the coat, it's funny how things like that can lift your mood and help with the "program"
Katkin ~ Morning, hope you have a good day x
Taplady ~ My Mum and Dad had whippets before they had my sister and me and we grew up with a houseful of usually around 12 ish ( depending on wether the old ladies were still alive or new pups had come!) I now have 4 , although it was 6 but the two old men have now passed away :A My Dad has 5 whippies and 3 bedlingtons and 2 whippie bedlington crosses! i LOVE my dogs xxxxxxxxxxx What is your's called? Mine are Buster (11) Barney(7) and the brothers Delboy and Rodney (5)
MrsM ~ glad you are on the mend. I really HATE smelly candles , sorry!:o Hope they make you smile though . Good luck for the weigh in , I expect you've lost loads this week , ah the benifits of being ill
Hi Marie and Juliejim xx:wave:
Last day today! Horay! There is always a huge row at work about what to do for Christmas meal. Every year it's the same. We are allowed time off in the day to go for our meal , usually they'll give us 3 hours off, but alot of the ladies want to go in the evening so they can drink and dress up. They can NEVER agree! Some want to go during the day so they can get time off, some want to bring partners , others don't. Some want to go dead posh, others want to do it on the cheep. They drive me potty! So this year there was SO much arguning that it was Cancelled!! So Yesterday a few of us at work decieded we would go the the colleges training resturant just down the corridor and if the others wanted to come then they would be welcome. Now it looks like they are all comimg!! They are like Tadpoles! Anyway , although not perfect , we can get a full Christmas meal for £5.00 and get 3 hours off work!:T
Right, off to walk the dogs, hope you all have a good day, be good :ASay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Aww Frogga, hope the kit turns up very quickly! Lots of kids school bits half price in the big Tesco if you're near one of them? Making room for more Christmas stuff i suppose!
OH and I are going home to our folks for the weekend, and the cupboards are literally bare, so am buying lunch today... so for me:
Breakfast: 1 harvest grain roll w/ philadelphia light
Lunch: Probably a Boots shapers meal deal, as have a 50p off voucher!Hope to finish work early today too
Dinner: HM Lasagne at OH's parents
Will try not to snack, even on the drive up north. Probably should plan ahead and get some seeds from Julian Graves! Have a lovely day and weekend you all xx
ARGH! Forgot to say, i've lost 1 POUND! WOO!
(Oooh MrsM, I took your advice from ages ago and made a fishermans pie yesterday with a philadelphia based sauce instead of white / parsley, and it was amazing! Thank you!) x0 -
Morning ladies
could we all form a line..now grab the hips of the lady in front...we are about to do the conga :rotfl: ...5.5lbs gone this week  ....so thats 3st 6lbs
I am sooooo  .... i know i have felt like a bag of poop for a few days (and wouldn't want it again no matter how much i lost)..but only 1 day without food and No exercise since monday should have cancelled that out..and i had that gyros n chips on friday..have no idea what has happened -but im not gonna complain
...i think my body might just have needed the shock of eating something i don't normally and suddenly changing the amount of exercise i did.....mind still want to get back to my walking... have been going stir crazy not being able to get out :rotfl:
So that leaves 1lb to shift in the next 2 weeks to hit my xmas target :j ... and my BMI down from 48.36 to 40 :T and bestestest of all i have now lost over 1/3 of what i want....
Have just had beans on toast for brekkie and feel a bit "over full" but will hopefully get rid of that feeling when i have a walk out later to get a few of my last xmas bits done :T
Morning frogga... glad doggy is better...i used to have an ex racing greyhound..he wes a big old beastie but as soft as a brush..he was called ruppert :rotfl: but that wasn't my doing...honest.. We had to rehouse him when we got married and moved to Germany
Bless your little un...offering to pay for her own kit... If you don't want to have her buy it all then why not let her buy, say her own trainers or something..will probably help her learn an important lesson... and will probably make her feel a little less awful too;)
So you break up for crimble today? .... oooh what are you gonna do with yourself ? lady of leisure.. you will be climbing the walls i bet
Juliejim.... we can still see you... yes..you, there you are behind the door... don't hide... its not a crime..and im sure you will soon see that lb off ... come on... don't be so hard on yourself..you can do it
Alibow.... oohhhh they are lovely... such cute little faces:D .... im really no cop at anything like that... had best stick to cross stitching me thinks
I have to agree with your thoughts on choc oranges mmmmm :rotfl: didn't they once do a mint version? i never tried one..but i love mint choc.... Elizabeth shaw mints mmmmmmmmm
Morning Kittyscarlett.... don't worry..i don't have a "dash" in me.. more of a very slow "plod" at the moment :rotfl: actually..make that a VERY slow plod
Hope you are feeling better today... it seems we are all suffering from 1 thing or another at the moment..hopefully ladies we are getting rid os our share before the xmas period arrives :T
Rockie4... :T on going down a size in your new coat... its such a lovely feeling isn't it:j ... i need a decent winter coat.. im terrible though as i really begrudge buying stuff when im losing weight..but i think the coat may win..its either that -or freeze my bits off :rotfl: .... may have a look today.. it was alright before when i was a lazy ar*e..i only poddled to and from the car -so not having a big coat didn't matter..but now i walk everywhere i think it has become a "need"
Its gonna do my head in as i had all new kit for going to Kefalonia in July and even had some stuff a size up as i was bothered about the heat making clothes feel clingier..and now nearly all of them are too big..which is great but it means i have to get rid.. a lot of them have never been worn:o so it pains me to get rid...but i HAVE to make myself.... all you lovely ladies are too small for them .....oooh doesn't that sound nice for you.... I guess i could E bay them in the new year when folks start looking for the summer clothes again
and then put anything earnt into my tin for new clothes when i get to target.
OOhh Taplady you are funny :rotfl: .. my mum is just the same.... she can live on less than it would take to keep a sparrow allive..but you put cake in the house :EasterBun I have done her a gardening hamper for xmas... but have added some sweet goodies... i have some "all butter cookies filled with lemon curd" which even i think sound rather nice:rotfl: ...she can't help her little self
Morning Katkin..hope you have a lovely weekend
well no doubt, by the time i press the "submit" button there will be heaps more posts i have missed..but i will catch up with you all when i get back from the supermarket....
hope anyone else weighing in this morning gets a nice result
have a great day everyone..... and keep at it folks-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
OOHHH only 1 post snook in
Hi bobbadog...well done on the loss :T ....that should be the first thing you mention :rotfl: ...you can't go "forgetting" whenu have a loss..now if it was a gain..well thats a different matter:p
Glad you like the philli sauce...its really light but still tasty isn't it? :T
Have a good weekend:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
quick morning all !
juliejim, don't be ashamed and don't worry, 1lb is not the end of the world !
frogga, glad the doggy is ok. Maybe let the tadpole pay a bit of the cost towards the PE kit if it has to be replaced ? that way she's helping to say sorry in a practical way and the onus is not all on you, but then you don't have to feel bad for taking the whole price of it from her.
I have a day off today and am being taken the Dickensian market at Portsmouth so I don't know how much healthy eating will be involved ! I know there will be a bacon sarnie on the way ... o well, perhaps we can find a Victorian baked potato seller or something ! Have a good day all" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. Morning ladies:hello:
Quickie again today - work's getting in the way of my socialising!!:rotfl:
Weighed in this morning and the famous 3lbs has gone againand hopefully will stay off this time.
I was good last night, cup of lite hotlicks when I went to bed but nothing else.
Today - toast for brekkie - white, shop bought.....I MUST shop tonight, my kitchen cupboards resemble Mother Hubbards, the cat loves me though as I had to open a tin of tuna for her this morning!!
Just had a banana and a muffin, lunch is salad with wheatberrys and roasted veg with grapes if I want them.
Tea will be the stuffed mushroom I should have had last night but was too tired to cook!!
Well done to all the losers :T
Juliejim - a pound is nothing! I usually put 3 on:eek: so don't hide!!
See you later folks :A0 -
I am SO CROSS! Have to come on here before I raid the fridge!
Tadpole 1 has just announced that she left her PH kit, her WHOLE PE kit on the bus on Wednesday!!! She didn't tell me before incase I'd be cross!!! Nothing has been handed in at the bus station so that's a WHOLE kit lost and needed to be replaced by Monday. I rekon it's at least £100 as there were trainers, jumpers, shorts, joggers, football boots et.c . I am SO gutted as I cannot affoard to replace all this and the bag was handmade by me and she's had it since reception so she is very upset too.
I'm too cross to binge as I don't think I could chew properly!
Come on then.. what sizes is she and we can all have a rummage.. see if we can save you a few quid??? :money:
And if it helps any.. my daughter lost her PE kit the first DAY of this new school year and it was handed back to the school office last week so we have it back after all this time!!!!!!!!
