    Evening ladies

Well done on the loss Alibow and Meanmarie :j

got back form shopping..hubby came round with me..making suggestions as to what i might like.. ahh bless him :p

    ended up with
lettuce, cumber, toms, avocado, red pepper, tuna, cottage cheese, feta.. a big tin of peaches oh and the nice baked beans..not the gopping one i opened this morning and wouldnt eat :rotfl: ... Doesn't sound that exciting I know but its about as much as i fancied :p ..

Newlywed... thanks for the ideas.. i love prawns and salmon (now i think about it i have 2 pieces in the freezer -thats lovely:D ).. the prawns here are hit and miss.. some are very fishy...bleugh.. so i may have a poddle to the NAFFI, grit my teeth and pay through the nose for some of the iceland ones... mind if im only eating a few at a time it won't be that expensive ;)
hubby stopped off for a gyros on the way back and i got 1 too  ..i don't normally like them but it looked quite nice..and my hope is it will kick start my appetite...the meat was really well done and not greasy..the one i had is mainly chicken so not too bad.. and you get a big section of salad and one of tzatziki and a portion of really dry chippies..... i have eaten about 1/3 and really enjoyed it.. but knew I had enough so i have shoved the rest in the micro to go cold and i may have it for lunch tomorrow..;)

Hi frogga... don't think im coming down with anything Mrs.. its TTOTM next week and i usually lose my appetite for the week before....only this seems to be lasting longer... should be gratefull im in a minority who doesn't crave sweet stuff... i used to, but when i eat properly and cut out processed stuff i don't....

Alibow...what do you use to make your nativity scenes? I love to know what crafts others do :p

Hi M.E.... sorry you are feeling worse again. I think not telling folks what you are doing sometimes is a good idea.. i think you feel less pressure..especially if -like me you have been a "serial dieter" -this is the longest and most focused i have been whilst i have been married..think hubby is somewhat in awe that im still tootling along merrily :D
Hope you have a brilliant time in France....

    Meanmarie,
I never thought i would be worrying about not eating enough :rotfl:..but at least now im focused enough on eating healthily to know that its not good for me... and intend nipping it in the bud. So glad you had a loss this week..it can be so soul destroying can't it... we all know what we need to do, but sometimes LIFE gets in the way.... so im thrilled for you this week :j

well ladies i am gonna get off and have a bath and will speak to you all later...
have a good evening all :D and thanks for the support :happyhear

Hello Fellow Fatties - or should I say nearly thinies.

I haven't been on for a while as we have been away, and it has taken me ages to catch up with this thread.

I was getting a bit down as the weight had stopped shifting (and a girl I work with us doing Cambridge and losing loads -- loudly). But I weighed this morning and I have lost 21 LB in 10 weeks. Looking at it that way I feel really pleased.

We have just had a great long weekend in France - I was supposed to be good with food, but I popped to buy a drink in the airport and buy sweets for the kids, and bought 2 bars of chocolate for me. It was such an automatic reaction I was shocked.
I was reasonably good in that after a strict day at home I had not put on any weight.
I did find my appetite had got smaller - still had 2 chocolate crossiants for breakfast each day, and other yummy treats.

Three weeks until I go to Thailand - I have no clothes that fit, and really do not want to buy any this hopefully inbetween size.

Sorry no personals but I am still trying to catch up

    Hels

    Ok Mirandamayhem

bend over...I will kick you if it makes you feel better ;) .....
don't ever feel ashamed flower.... thats the time when you really need to pop on here and get it out of your system.. we might just be able to distract you for long enough for that "must eat" moment to pass..
so keep on posting even if you haven't had a good day... you still have 4 weeks to get a bit shifted... you know you can do it..:D

  • Well done all you losers - MrsM, AliBow, meanmarie etc ! ( and frogga for the 2000th post :D ) MrsM I know you're trying to stick to your grocery challenge as well as your weightloss one but for the next few days try not to worry about it too much, treat yourself to some different foods to tempt that pre TOTM appetite...well done all tryers esp. the poorly ones ! hgbels, ignore the Cambridge Diet girl, she might declaim her weight loss loudly now but I bet she won't be quite so vocal when the weigh comes piling back on later...

Bit of a rushed post as am tired and hungry, has been a long day. Due to workshop thing dragging on longer than expected, didn't get to eat until 20 past 3 .. thats the third day in a row thats happened :/ Anyway, I resisted the temptation to buy takeaway or shop sandwich on the way back, had 2 wholemeal rolls with corned beef, a big juicy crisp Braeburn apple, small piece of ginger cake and about a pint of tea when Igot home ! Did get quite a lot of exercise due to walk to and from buses to meeting also a LOT of stairwalking as loos were in the basement 3 floors down !

Am just making dinner now - jacket spud and hm (un)baked beans - I was going to open a tin but then thought silly moo, you have those cannelini beans from yesterday so make your own ! so have just sweated off half a chopped red onion in a little oil with a pinch of mixed herbs, added the cannelini beans, glug of apple juice, squeeze of tom puree, dollop of tom ketchup and dash of worcestershire sauce, it smells/tastes great ! Afters will be banana, blackberries ( last of freezer ones ) greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey.

Ok off to eat, good night all !

Evening everyone, Had a 2lb gain this week but what can you expect if you pig out on a pk of choccie biccies and 3 walnut whips plus loads of other crap all in one sitting im finding it hard to eat sensibly while hubby is off work i'v had a fry up for breaky a few times this week too.

Well done on everyone whos lost this week,,frogga congrats on getting
    the 2000 post.

    hugs net x x x
  • Hello everyone - wow! well done to all the losers -Juliejim, Mrs M, Alibow, Marie and Hgbels - I hope I haven't missed anyone out! Newday - commiserations on the 2lb gain - I know how that feels!

I have had a couple of good days and then yesterday afternoon I found a tube of WW sweets lurking at the back of the drawer from yonks ago and I ate them. I find that WW sweets sometimes give me the runs and these ones (probably because they were out of date too) gave me the galloping trots and made me feel very iffy, so today I have only had toast and my stomach is all over the place.

Congratulations on the 2000th post frogga!

Mrs M - sorry if this is barking up the wrong tree, but the only times I have ever been "off" my food the way you are at the moment, was when I was up the duff - in fact I lost weight having both my kids - lost 2 stone during the pregnancy with DD1 and 4 stone when pregnant with DD2 - I found that all my desires to binge and overeat just vanished from even BEFORE I knew I was pregnant - in fact with DD2 I didn't know until I was three months along and I was expecting Wise Men and Shepherds after the birth I can tell you!!

Anyway - I have decided that between now and Christmas week I am only going to eat stuff we already have in the house - that will be easy for me as the freezer and cupboard are bulging but it might be a bit of a challenge for DD1 as she is such a fuss pot but I am determined that I am only going to buy cleaning stuff and milk, bread and veg and fruit.

Kittyscarlett - your menu today sounded lovely - just the sorts of things I like to eat - I am going to have a go at that bean thing tomorrow. I sooo wish I could be a vegetarian but I love things like corned beef and bacon too much, but I like veggie food alot. I hate Quorn though.

Well am going to stay up to watch the Model's Prefer TSV on QVC at midnight, if I can stay awake as I am really tired.

Hope you are all having a good evening.

Thanks everyone. I would have given up already if I didn't have you lot for support! I f I can keep up that kinda loss for the next month I will have shifted about a stone by christmas.

MrsM - I make them out of polymer clay (fimo or sculpey usually). I'll post a picture once I've got them all finished if anyone wants to see.

Had a lovely bit of beef tonight. Braised it in white wine, herbs and beef stock (oxo) with some oven chips. Me and sis brought some skinny cow toffee ice cream from tescos so had a big bowl of that, yummy! Snacked on some popcorn this evening as well. Exercise tomorrow will be christmas shopping, can't stand town on saturdays at the best of times! Off to a friends for dinner tomorrow night then we're going to a fancy dress midnight comedy show in a ghost theatre, bit random but hopefully it'll be fun.

    Morning all, Wher is everone?

    Off for 3 days now!

    congratulations to all the losers:T

    Frogga - 2000:j :T :D

MRSM - hope you find your appetite, not eating enough is no good for weight loss! get the soup pot on the go!;)

this is it - i know how you feel, my DH was off work for 2 weeks and it plays havoc with your diet watching them eating all sorts of things you shouldn't, mines just gone back to work now so it should get easier!

At work yesterday we had to take a lady out to Macdonalds for lunch - her choice - theres not much there for a veggie:rolleyes: so had a spicy veggie deli(on brown) with no cheese - it was still laden with mayo etc so I bet it was hugely laden with calories no fries:A and a coffee.

for tea I had tuna pasta bake and salad, one of my colleagues brought everyone a bar of choccie - twirl - so I had to eat mine!:D so not too good a day.Aim to be back on track today though!

    B - 2 x small wholemeal toasts.

    banana

L - cheesy mash with beans

    grapes

D - veggie lasagne and salad.

    lowfat fromage frais

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

    take care xx
    Do what you love :happyhear
