Morning all! I've been so busy the last couple of days that I gave in to my desire for a twix on Friday...and a few jaffa cakes...then a beer...then a couple of glasses of wine.:o:rotfl:
Back on track now though! We're roasting hand of pork over a bed of root veg for dinner tonight. Not big on fatty meat anyway, so I'll just have loads of veggies and gravy and a bit of pork. Yum. Lumch is leftover hm pizza, topped with onions and peppers, so I'll definitely get my 5 today!
Exercise will be in the form of stirring the Christmas Puddings.:xmastree:0 -
Hya folks
Well done to all the losers: Juliejim, Mrs M, Alibow, Marie and Hgbels, sorry if I have missed anyone, but I am trying not to spend too long on here as I have loads to do today.
Boys are off to rugby, so I can get to the computer. DS1 has Physics course work to finish,so he has hogged the computer for most of the weekend and will no doubt nab it after lunch.
I have had a hectic few days but don't seem to be doing very well food-wise...
I do try, but the flap-jack I make are sooooo scrummy! I might hold off making more for a few days, and limit my baking to muffins and Christmas cakes.
Yes I know I should have made the Christmas cakes ages ago...but didn't seem to manage it. The fruit has been soaking for ages yet, so they are now plump and full of brandy (I know how they feel!!!). As it is Stir-up Sunday, I thought I had better my a**e into gear and do something.
Then there is all my college homework, sorting the house, garden, washing and my life....should get it all done in a few hours!...I don't think!!
Oh well, enough nattering , must get doing!
Weigh-in tomorrow...goodness knows how that will go!
Talk soon.

The last time I lost a lot of weight I was getting out of the car in the works car park, stood on the hem of my trousers and pulled them off - did a 'moonie' right in front of the cctv!!!! I wondered why I was getting huge grins from security  all day!
OH still isn't speaking - that's quite normal for him, we don't often row but when we do it's WW3 (it's been coming for a while) and he always sulks for a few days (the record is a week) before he realises which side his bread is buttered.............;)
In the meantime I'm enjoying the peace and quiet, I'm eating well (he's living on cereal, coffee and fags)
Today I've had toast and marmalade for brekkie and homemade leek and potato soup with 2 slices of granary bread for lunch. I got some cauldron cumberland sausages whoopsed in Tesco so I'll have them for tea with some nice veggies (he's at work so I'm just cooking for me)
I've been for a walk this afternoon, I was out for an hour and a half, I did walk through the town as it's farmer's market day but it was (expensive) rubbish so I didn't get anything.
I'm off to do a bit of cleaning now - bathroom and stairs, I've done all my ironing this morning *polishes halo* so when that's done I can sit and watch Strictly and Corrie
Have a nice evening ladies:A

Afternoon all. I am finally up and dressed. Didn't actually wake up till 1pm today  In my defence tho I didn't get home till 3.30am cos me and a friend went to Maxwells Full Mooners at Alexandra Palace Ghost Theatre. So cold (the theatre hasn't been used for over 65 years and has no heating) but so much fun. Anyway due to my late getting up today I missed breakfast and have had some HM tomato soup for lunch and a slice of ginger cake. Dinner is either going to be roast chicken or I might have kidney turbego that I missed out on last night. Right, I better actually go and do something before I waste the entire day!I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0

afternoon all!
first sit down I've had all day and there's still loads to do!
I have had too much bread today, 4 small slices:eek: 2 toast for breakfast then poached eggs on toast for lunch.
I have had a go at making some vegetable pies for my tea and the freezer, I'll let you know how successful they are later!;)
frogga - what type of things do you vegans eat? isn't it hard when you go out to find anything you can have?I can live without meat but I would find it hard to give up dairy - I love my cheese and milk. I am quite enjoying experimenting with veggie recipes, bought a vegetarian cookbook at the carboot today for some inspiration.I did look at the freezer department at Asda for veggie food but it was all loaded with additives and high in calories so I think I'll make my own.
MRSM - good luck with the tinned mackerel
B - 2 x small wholemeal toasts
mince pie:eek: (HM small)
L - poached eggs on toast
lowfat fromage frais
D - vegetable pie and roasted root vegetables.
grapesDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hello everyone - hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
I have been quite lazy really - yesterday I had my sister over for a meal in the evening and decided to make a sort of eat up buffet off stuff I had left in the freezer which wasn't quite enough to make a whole meal of. We had a lovely meal of sweet chilli chicken drumsticks (I saw Rachel Allen on TV yesterday morning and she made sweet chilli chicken wings - I had the ingredients for the sauce but not the wings so I substituted drumsticks and they were FAB!), duck spring rolls, hm cous cous salad with lime and corriander and spring onion and turkey steaks with lettuce and mayo on open buns. For afters I did blueberries and fresh cream and that was lovely too.
I got loads of stuff out of the freezer yesterday and made a few things today to have during the week. I made more sweet chilli chicken, a lasagne, a turkey and sausagemeat meatloaf and I have still to make a chicken and veg soup/stew thingie.
I am trying very hard not to binge and today have had a slice of wholemeal toast and a small bowl of shreddies for breakfast and a portion of hm vegetable chilli with a bit of grated cheese on and half a wrap for lunch, followed by a fresh pear. I think I might have the lasagne for tea tonight with grapefruit segments for afters.
DD1 is out at a concert all day so this afternoon DD2 and I went to her School Christmas fayre - I hate going to things like that because I am so ashamed of my size, but I brazened it out and she had a good time, which was the main thing. I hate going out socially and avoid it at all costs usually - I am so embarassed about my size, which you would think would make me stick to a diet but it somehow doesn't
Anyway hope you are all okay.Jane

MRSMCAWBER, that's an interesting idea about freezing twixes. I have to admit, they never last more than about 30 seconds here:o I'll try popping one in the freezer ready for the next craving and will see how it goes.:D0
