Taplady ~ Basically there are vegan alternatives for almost everything "normal". There are soya milk products so you can still get cheese et.c There are egg substitutes for baking and meat free "meat":rotfl: IYKWIM!

I ama very bad example of a good vegan as I'm a really fussy sod anyway! I stick to a very few foods that I like, but don't worry I'm getting the right mix :T I eat fruit and veg ( der!) and Nuts and seeds, beans and pasta and rice , potatoes and lentils, bread and crackers and cereals, dried fruit, and my favorite is Bombay Mix!!! I am over weight because I eat too much bread basically! and nuts and bombay mix!!!!

I don't eat out , ever! We don't go out at all as I hate eating in public and we are not going out sort of people anyway

RS ~ I know exactly what you mean about social events ~ I HATE school events as I'm ashamed and I think I'll embarass the Tadpoles. When I've been thin I'll help out and even Man a stall , but when I'm fat I don't even go. My weight ruins my whole life! :o It has stopped me doing SO much, even going for a new job last week that I really fancied.

right I'm off as others want the pc , Hi MrsM xxxxxxxxxxxx

    hi all

Well, I'm just sitting here trying to think what to eat. Had a chicken roast for lunch at 2pm (baked potato not roasties), some chocolate this afternoon, and now I am peckish.

This is my diet downfall - I want snack food - not proper food.

Hugs to Recovering and Frogga - sorry to here you lack confidence in public, due to your weight. Most people really are not looking. I do find at toddler groups etc lots of people talk to me - perhaps because I am smiley and not a threat like the 'perfect yummy mummies' - could be because I am covering in mess from the Lo's
I do have a couple of friends who are thinner then me who are too embaressed to go swimming etc. I am by far the fatest person I ever see in my gym - oops, no really thought about that before, but if the 90 year old bloke who can just walk goes, then why not me. Again I find it is the thin people comparing themselves to each other, and the weight lifting blokes all just look at themselves.
I hope I'm not laughed at too much, but I did fall off the treadmill last week - I was about to get off, but my personal trainer had not pressed stop only slow - I stopped walking and promptly fell off the back -- ooops

MrsM - I popped to Lidl today and thought of you with all the lovely German Xmas stuff - , I went on a german exchange when I was small and have had found memories of the gingerbread covered in chocolate stuff - only bought advent calenders for the kid though

Taplady - hope the IBIS clears up soon - I was a veggie for years and lived on cheese, chocolate and chips - I suggest you don't follow my meal plan to carefully

    hug to all

    evening!

RS and Frogga, as hgbels said even the thinnest people are self consious(sp?) I have sympathy with you as I have always been selfconsious and shy in social situations and still am, even now I am resonably slender.:o
    I always envy confident people.

The vegetable pie was absolutely delicious:drool: , DH wants one now:rolleyes: I'll soon be converting him too!:D I have some pastry left so I am going to make a pastry lined cheese and potato pie tomorrow (been reading the thread about it) and am going to try and make some mushroom soup so I can take some to work on Tuesday for lunch.

The IBS has virtually gone since I have given up meat!:j

    Evening all,

Seems to have got very cold here, heat is on atm but I don't feel warm...even with tights on!

Lunch to-day was two thin slices bread with rasher, sausage, piece each of black and white pudding.

Dinner was end of mixed veg and bean soup that I made yesterday...big bowlful

Have since had a pear, but feel 'peckish' now, think I will have a raw carrot or two with some hummous...DD1 bought a carrot cake this morning...meant her to take it with her but she didn't want it...will be fine if I don't open it!

    Evening everyone :D

well i had salad, 1/2 a tin of tuna and a thin slice of Hm bread n butter for tea...it was ok -but i prefer cottage cheese :p and a tin of grapefruit for supper.

have quite a lot of the stuffed chicken breast left, so will have some of that on a salad for lunch tomorrow and probably the day after and no doubt have some to shove in the freezer for lunches next week too. I won't be buying it again, it was OK, but i we both prefer plain chicken and HM stuffing ;)

will think of some where to have a tootle to in the morning... 2 weigh days after friday and need to shift the 6 1/2lbs..pinkies crossed :p ...

There seem to be quite a lot of "baggy pants" about at the moment :j -well done Katkin :D ....so its either new smaller trousers or new boots with higher heels ..which of course will make you look even thinner ;)

rockie -Your other half is doing what my hubby calls "vision no sound":rotfl: apparently i sometimes don't say anything when annoyed - but make it very obvious that I am :p ....

    Alibow..what is kidney turbego?

Meanymoo.... Hopefully 1 finger of frozen twix will last you long enough to satisfy your craving or if you eat both it will last you longer :j

    woohoo frogga :D

oooh cheese n potato pie tap lady... i have a supply of HM ones in the freezer... and now i have the beans to go with them:j .... i love them :D

well have taken hubbies HM oxtail soup out of the freezer, so thats him sorted - with the last of the bread, so will need to make a new one in the morning....

well ladies i had better get off -and i will speak to you all in the morning :D

Kidney turbigo is sausages, kidneys and mushrooms in a tomatoy sauce. Really yummy and easy to make. Found this recipe online but the one my mum makes is much simpler, less splashing, dashing and sprinkling :rotfl: http://www.recipedatabase.eu/recipe_1052836_kidney_turbigo.php

  • Welcome! Pull up a chair (or an exercise bike) and join in!

Some people have set themselves a target to get to by Christmas, others are just getting on with it, popping in to get help/encourage others, others (like me) are good some days and rubbish other days and not getting very far...

Either way, you'll find support, encouragement and laughs in here so pleased to have you on board! x
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Morning! am very stressed this morning due to DS1 being in an accident - he's ok thankfully - so hope it doesn't start my IBS off.

Have had weetabix for brekky, not sure about lunch and cheese and potato pie for tea.

Hope you are all ok, will pop back later when I've de-stressed!
