Frogga pet,
I know exactly what you mean...I hate my fat self and that is the only self I have been for years....I look at other fat people and they seem to be able to get flattering clothes...I never seem to be able to do that, so I'm going " she looks so well and she must be as heavy as me" Have never had the thin person who is inside me on show except when I was eighteen and after DD1 was born,,,she will be 37 next month, so seem to have been fighting a losing battle ever since.
I have none of your problems in that there is very little I won't eat, am neither veggie or vegan but still don't seem to be able to keep on any kind of a food programme that allows me to stay at a reasonable weight...I no longer fancy the cream cakes etc which I used to blame, so am now faced with a situation where the only excuse, if that's the correct word, is laziness and portions that are too big...I only do things slowly and feel a need to rest very often and tend to eat too quickly most of the time, which means that I eat more than I need on a regular basis.
Now that we've got that off our chests, perhaps we can work out a programme that suits us....individually. You are doing your cycling, so from tomorrow I am going to walk for ten minutes first thing in the morning...yes I know its only ten minutes but its extra so should have an effect.
Today I have had my usual fruit and fibre with added raisins and nuts and coffee for breakfast.
Good luck Frogga and all

I dont worry about what I look like too much, in fact I sometimes think i have the opposite of anorexia - I dont think I look that fat, but the scales say differently!!!
- perhaps its cos I have always been 'chunky' (lol) but I was much fatter a few years ago, and so now feel relatively ok!!
However, when I hang about with other people who are tiny, I do feel a bit lumbering.
Actually, I think I have always been a bit of a little chubber, but when I look at photos of me at junior school, I was like a whippet, no fat at all! - however, I have got a big frame, so perhaps that is why I have always felt big in comparison to others. (apparently I was easy to spot in the baby unit as a prem baby, I had already had the recognisable family big rib-cage, so all the family recognised me straight away!!)
Anyway, my motivation for losing weight is actually my health - I went to the docs a couple of weeks ago and was told my blood pressure was toooo high - I was surprised, it has always been ok before. I was also diagnosed with an ongoing condition a couple of years ago (neuro, othing to do with the high bp) so I guess the fitter and healthier I can be the better for my long term wellbeing.
I went out and bought an old raleigh twenty bike the other day (very retro and apparently cool now!) so I will have to get out on that and get fit. I am also trying to walk the dog a lot more to keep fit. I am temping at the moment, so work and hours are sporadic, (as is cash-flow!) which complicates things.
For brekkie I have had a raisin bagel with a bit of peanut butter, and I have just made a big pan of veggie soup. Must eat less food, but I love it!!!0 -
hi Kitty,Marie,Rockie and FC,
I'm sorry I was such a misery ar*e this morning!
I am SO not comfortable with myself it's untrue! I think it's because it was so recently that I loved the way I looked and felt great and now it's all gone wrong. My MIL died just over a year ago and at her funeral I wore a size 12 suit. Hard to believe now, but I put it on and take it off again SO quickly I don't seem to see it coming!
Lots of my family on my Dads side are very large and I think they look gross. I so don't want to be like them. My Dad says "it's in your genes" but IT ISN'T ~ it's because I stuff my face! Mum Dad and Sister are all thin. I don't want to be in the fat club!
My Auntie is v overweight. She thinks anyone under a size 16 looks "drawn"! I think I feel worse as I've had a "taste" of what it was to be thin and I really loved it. I was really slim for years controlled by annorexia and I was really happy! Then my annorexia went too far the other way and I can't seem to stop going up and down the scales.
This is not a good time of year for me to start. I am focused on starting again in January. All I can try and do is not go mad until then. Just try and STOP THE BINGING would be a start. Funny Kitty, when you wrote your first paragraph that WAS me xxx I don't even like my hands or feet
I mostly feel sorry for Mr Frog. I used to waer sexy clothes and look nice and all his mates were jelous. Now I expect they feel sorry for him, coz I do .Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

oh frogga, I bet mister frog thinks you are lovely just as you are! you sound lovely :-)
I have a question to ask, what do people think are the most filling low calorie foods?
I am hungry a lot, and although I try not too eat too much crap, I think I just eat too much in general.
Just had veggie soup (loads of veggies, onion and garlic, carrots, swede, celery, pumpkin and veggie stock) - I reckon it is hardly any calories (will try and work it out actually) but it is quite filling and substantial. (i do struggle to resist bread and butter to go with it though!) ... any other ideas for low calorie filling stuff? ....i do ratatouille sometimes for the same reason, and I think stew with lots of veg in cant be too bad either...0 -
I'm not sure but I think eating more slowly is supposed to help. It gives your brain chance to catch up with your tummy! MrsM will know but she's not here today , where are you MrsM? Hope all is well xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Perhaps you could eat a ballooon first that will take up more room in your stomach!:rotfl:Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

 nice idea!! oh it is difficult isnt it!?
I should eat more slowly, at the moment I eat like a deranged woman in a speed pie eating contest!
:rotfl:
Actually I hate sharing food with my OH, (eg. pizza) he always eats his share really fast then starts on mine!! :mad:0 -
Oh that's easily solved, just dribble on the bits you want first!

Hya All,
I haven't popped in for a few days, and it has taken me ages to catch up!
Well I weighed in yesterday, and I have lost one more pound :j
I thought it would be more as I weighed mid-week when I changed the battery in the scales and I had lost loads. Mind you, this is before I went out for my birthday tea, and then munched too much over the weekend, so I should be thankful I have actually lost anything!
I have revised my Christmas target to a more sensible one of 17.5 stone, I just might reach this...8 pounds in 4 weeks. I am more likely to be strong if I have a reachable target, while if I was nowhere near I would just give up and eat more!!!!
So yet again I am determined to do more exercise and eat less this week...lets see if it happens! :rotfl:
Food today:
Breakfast: Special K, soya milk and OJ
Break: Cereal bar (Morrisons Eat Smart)
Lunch: HM Soup, 1 slice bread, 1 slice cheddar
Break: Sugar-free jelly with peaches
Tea: Wholemeal pasta with HM tom. sauce and veggies, sausages
Must do 20 mins on exercise bike today, managing 6.6 km in that time...better than the 2km I started off with! Will try and get DH to measure me tonight, haven't measured since I started, I have definitely lost quite a few inches!
Talk tomorrow

PS.... Does anyone have good ideas to cook up loads of eating apples that have got a few bruises. Used to cooking apples, but eaters don't tend to mush down so easily.

keiss.. try just cooking them in the oven..
Froggster.. a sad blue frog is not pleasant on an empty tummy.. (((hugs))) .. I haven't been weighed for weeks because I know it isn't going anywhere.. I think I am just meant to be bigger. A size12 will NEVER happen in here... though I was a size 10 until I was 27 and pg with DD3.. she just messed everything up (body-wise not life-wise) I still wore my 'normal' size 10 trousers until I was about 5 months pg.. and I put on 5.5 st in the next 2.5 months (she was 6 weeks early) she didn't even weigh the 0.5st!!! I HATE the way I look.. all I can see are the nasty bits.. hhmm.. that would be most of it!!.. Some days I think we all have days like that.. but tomorrow is a new day.. and it will all look brighter.. you can drop that weight because you have done it before.. I'm just saving up for liposuction.. it must be easier.. but not until I've had the tummy tuck done.. I have £3 saved so far!!
I think you are doing fantastically well.. and supporting everyone on here as well.. so stop being blue and boing yourself back up here on the couch with me!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
