Belly Dancing Rockie? OMG , do you think they would charge me twice? Think about it!:rotfl:Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Thanks for the kind words all :DI am having another foul day but after having a good old fashioned rant at my line manager who retreated into a corner gibbering and whimpering, quite a number of the things bothering me managed to get sorted
so thats the answer, let your inner demons out at your manager to be exorcised !
Well done Frogga's tadpolesThe FG stands for " Favourite Gent "
who is an extremely dear male friend of mine. We are inordinately fond of each other but due to varying circumstances on both our parts it won't be going any further than that. The mutual care, support and general sanity saving absurd humour is absolutely tremendous though. I've recently got him motivated to taking a lunchtime walk and being a bit more OS in his cooking
hence the references.
MrsM, thanks very much for the kind invitation with regards to your old boots but unless I dust down the " toybox " I don't think I possess quite the right equipmentperhaps we could be really OS and pop the boots in the slowcooker with some garlic and red wine ?
Keiss, glad you had a good birthday - dinner sounded yummy, I LOVE crab !
meanmarie hope your grandson feels better soon. I'm sure the tlc from his gran will help loads !
bobba - maybe you should be singing the Mock Turtle's " Beautiful Soup " song today
"Beautiful soup, so rich and green!
Waiting in a hot tureen!
Who for such dainties would not stoop?
Soup of the evening, beautiful soup! "
rockie - ooooo... cheese and beetroot butty and glamorgan sausages, tow of my favourite things to eat.. *drools*
newlywed, don't worry about going senile at 35, I was getting grey hairs before then, I'm 40 now and at the rate they run me ragged I'll be in me grave way before any of my wrinklies !!
I did manage to restrain myself from throwing out the peas, spinach, scampi and quorn from the freezer. Its odd, last year I hardly went near the thing but the last few months I've been using it to capacity almost all the time. Its not until I have to run the thing down that I come to realise how much I rely on it nowadays. Its actually a real pain in the bum not being able to freeze much down - I've gotten so used to being able to squirrel away extra portions of hm soup, casseroles, pastas, veggie bakes, pies etc and then whip them out when a quick meal is needed.
So, I'm feeling very tired but kind of energetic. Its turned out nice at last so I am going to prod myself down to the proper local shops for a walk and a browse - probably come back with more secondhand cookbooks, LOL ! hope the day goes well for you all" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. Belly Dancing Rockie? OMG , do you think they would charge me twice? Think about it!:rotfl:
Certainly not! The teacher says that the 'more generous' ladies are always the best :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I love it, it's an excuse to dress up in jangly things and bounce about the room :j :j :j
kittyscarlet - *passes glamorgan sausage and beetroot butty*
I'm being very naughty and eating a mince pie that my boss has just brought us!!:o0 -
Afternoon all! I couldn't get near the computer last night cos I stupidly introduced sisters bf to online tv and now hes gluing him self to heroes season 2 as soon as anyone leaves the computer for more than five minutes!
MrsM - I love sherbet pips and chewing nuts. I was very good and resisted buying myself any sweets. They arrived today tho and are now hidden in my bedroom calling to me to eat them!
Keiss - Your house sounds like mine and your MIL like my mum!
Taplady - Bad luck about the IBS. I was diognosed with it a few months ago. Its not so bad once you work out what sets it off so you can mostly avoid those things. Mine seems to have settled down a bit since I stopped taking the pill. Someone recommened something called all-flora to me but i'm yet to try it. Apparently its availible at health shops and really helps IBS.
Rockie - You've inspired me to go and get my belly dancing dvd out and have another go. I'm missing my ballroom class tonight as I really can't spare £7 this week. Last time I had a go at the belly dancing dvd I spent more time laughing at the instructions than dancing! "Now clench your pelvic muscles as tho you're trying to hold a pencil in your vagina" Don't know about anyone else but I've never tryed holding a pencil up there :rotfl:
Frogga - I think our culturedness should be blamed for our weight. I know I'd much rather be curled up by the fire with a book, hot chocolate and a packet of ginger nuts than doing exercise!
I was pretty good food-wise yesterday apart from tea which was crispy pancakes, potato wedges and spaghetti hoops  It would have been white fish and rice but the sauce I poached the fish in turned out gross. So tea tonight will be something with rice to use up what I cooked last night. Have had two wheetabix and two slices of cheese on w/meal toast so far today. I have the urge to bake so I might go and make some biscuits after I've walked the two minutes to the post box and back. I found some really yummy recipes in this months glamour magazine so will try those out at the weekend I think. Cranberry and pecan tarts sound the best to me :rolleyes:I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -
hahaa!!! Kitty! You just made me splutter my tea everywhere! xx0

Turned the oxtail into soup..and it is rather yummy.... ended up having diced onion, carrot and potato in it, and some lentils and pearl barley... and it has made a rather tasty soup/broth..so that is hubbies lunch tomorrow and the rest will go in the gap i have just made :wall: ....

Neither have I:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!!! although I did have something from Ann Summers a long time ago!
We do have a laugh though, the class is a real mixed bag - shapes, sizes, ages and cultures!
I did ballroom as a teenager and would love to take it up again but the cost puts me off as well as the fact I have no-one to go withBillyNo Mates!!
MrsM - congrats to hubby and good luck for the WI, I'm sure you've done brilliantly.
It was soooo nice having the car today,:T I was home at the time I would have been getting on the train (if it was on time) OH had a nice cuppa waiting for me and we'd eaten and washed up by 6pm!
Hopefully I'll not have anything else tonight, that mince pie was nice with my afternoon cuppa. My boss goes into town on a Thursday lunchtime and always brings some sort of cake back, he's one of those stick thin people who eat loads:mad:
See you tomorrow ladies:A0 -
evening all!
Had a long day a work, another tomorrow with a sleep-in included but then its a 3 day weekend off!:j
Should have gone tapdancing tonight but have a cold and my tums upto its usual tricks so I decided to stop at home.
Not been too bad today apart from just eating the last small slice of coffee cake(it needed eating up:p)
B - weetabix and fruit
L - Hm butternut suash and sweet potato soup with a slice of cheese on toast.
low fat fromage frais
D - salmon, veggies and mash.
coffee cake:eek:
Have been checking out veggie recipes today ready for when I sort out nexy weeks menu.
MRSM - well done to your hubby on winning the golf comp:j
Thanks for all the kind thoughts re my IBS:T recovering spendaholic - my IBS is similar to yours, not painful but uncomfortable sometimes and embarrassing too and its certain foods that have been setting it off. The doc said stress plays a big part and I have to admit to being rather stressed lately with my 2 boys both playing up:rolleyes: so hopefully it will settle down eventually.
I'm having lunch out again tomorrow at work - hope I can get something healthy, then we've got pasta bake for tea - not sure whether to have it as it will be made with shop bought sauce.
I hope you've all had a good day, Frogga - hope you're back on the wagon!as MRSM said its not your weigh day yet so you've got time to turn it around!
off for a browse now
TTFN xDo what you love :happyhear0
