Keiss21 - Happy Birthday :bdaycake: 47? you're still a baby!! *granny rockie here*

    Morning ladies!:A
Yesterday was a good day, I had my carrot dippers and hummus with a small glass of wine during the evening and then a lowfat horlicks when I went to bed so no cake!
I went for a swim at lunchtime so had plenty of exercise.:j

Today – extra walking this morning due to a problem with the trains
Porridge with soya milk, raisins and a little honey for brekkie, I’ve brought a pasta salad for lunch and I’ve got grapes and snakajacks to help me survive the day. Not sure about tea yet, I was planning Glamorgan sausages, mash and cabbage but headache’s lurking again so might have to rethink that………_pale_
I was going to go to the gym at lunchtime but will see how I feel in a bit.

Role playing?????? I would have to have a sickie if that was involved:eek:
Have a good day everyone :A

Morning all. Having a hungry day today - even after porridge :( Good job I've got no money - can't buy any food :rotfl:

Mrsm - my OH chose the engagement ring and proposed - I agree its the sentiment that matters, not the amount the ring cost.

As for role play - sounds like the "team-building" exercises we used to have at my last firm - my worst nightmare. :o

  • Hello everyone -hope you are all having a good day.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEISS :bdaycake:

I was still awake and trying to get to sleep when Frogga was posting her first post of the morning! I ate some toast late on last night and it made me really full and then I couldn't sleep.

The non-diet thing was going okay until yesterday when for some reason (probably because it is TOTM and I have been having pains etc for nearly a week now - I'm late) I just wanted to eat loads. I had made good healthy meals and enjoyed them but I blew it last night with biscuits and toast and light philadelphia. Anyway I am back at it again today and have set to in the house - changed the beds and made an attempt at tidying DD1's pit of a room - I've sorted the clothes and thrown out all obvious rubbish and removed the mouldy cups, plates and so on - she will go mad as she is convinced that I only go in to tidy so I can nose around but I do keep out until the mess just gets to me more than her sensibilities matter. I now have a mountain of washing and as I have no tumble dryer and it is pouring down outside I will have to go to the launderette later. I have made a start on the kitchen and just come in the dining room to clear the clutter from DD1 last night - she does her homework in here so there is always cups, plates, loads of paper everywhere etc.... Last night she was filling in her application to go to Liverpool University to study medicine:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: She does absolutely NO studying so I think there is less than an outside chance that she'll get in but we will have to see.

    Planned food for today is:

Breakfast: nothing yet, but will go and have a cup of coffee and maybe a weetabix in a minute.
Lunch: Stir fry veg with a little hoi sin sauce and leftover sliced pork loin
Dinner: Leftover pork and roasted vegetables from last night, followed by hm yoghurt and fresh blueberries. - Kids won't eat that so I will do them burgers in buns with salad and a few oven chips.

I made a cake from a recipe in a box of Splenda yesterday and it was really horrible and had to be chucked out. It was like Nigella's clementine cake except that you use Splenda. I didn't have oranges so used lemons and it was shuddery horrible.

Hope you are all okay - I still can't find that Slim at Home magazine anywhere and I have looked in supermarkets and newsagents.

Thanks so much rockie4 I don't normally feel down about my age. I had a big do for my 40th and plan on having one for my 50th...start saving now!

Nearly done the homework, so looking forward to enjoying the rest of the day...might find a garden centre to wander round...might pick up a Xmas pressie or two while I am there. :D

I'll let you know how I fared at the restaurant tonight. I may be either very early or very late tomorrow as I have to take DS1 to his school early. His English trip to Haworth, Yorks is leaving @ 6:30 am!!!!! I will drop him off, then visit Mr T before coming home....the things we mums do!

I found the Slim at Home mag in WHSmiths yesterday, it is the December/January one and quite interesting. I haven't finished it yet...looking forward to doing that later today.

Happy Birthday Keiss!!! Hope you're enjoying it so far!

It's my and OH's anniversary today, and whilst we intended to celebrate last weekend we haven't really done so yet, but not sure we'll be going out for dinner tonight despite my BOGOF Pizza Express voucher that I cashed in Nectar points for. Nevermind! So long as we're together! OH brought a box of chocs yesterday and we scoffed 1/4 of them whilst watching CSI. Naughty, but nice (and I rarely eat chocolate - always crave savoury things rather than choc).

    Anyway, today:

Breakfast: Oatiflakes w/ semi skimmed, earl grey
    Snack: 2 multigrain crackers (dry)
Lunch: leftover spaghetti cabonara, Ski low fat yoghurt
Dinner: Jacket potato and chili beans (and tiny bit of cheese)
Desert: Sugar free jelly with mango yoghurt (my fave cheapy desert!)

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

    Am back again!

Happy Birthday Keiss!:bdaycake: hope you have a lovely day!

Have been to the docs and after a rather intimate examination:o  he thinks I have IBS. Am going to try and keep off meat for a while and see how it goes, also got some tablets that will hopefully help.

Have just has spaghetti on toast for lunch with a bit of cheese - was starving after sitting in the surgery for ages.

    Back later x
