MrsM ~ mentioning me twice? I should think so!:T
Newlywed ~ don't know how long you have been a newlywed but they say the first 5 years are the worst!:rotfl:
You are right of course MrsM I will be sick of Christmas food before Christmas, in fact..................:o
Never Mind! Worse things happen at sea:eek:
I will crack the "can't stop stuffing til I'm sick" code one day;)Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

afternoon frogga  .....
since we are in the christmas spirit (and goodies:rotfl:)lets have some lovely chrimble pics :xmastree: .. I like this one of the tree... I absolutely adore doing xmas.making pud, cakes pies etc.. but i have to say that now i have got my head into gear.... going back to mums for xmas/new year is begining to look like a god send... it means i don't have to get any "extras" in.... and at the end of it im not going to be left with stuff lurking in the cupboards :T . If im honest i think that is why im not making a start on the xmas foods... im going to wait until my birthday is out of the way..the 22nd dec and then will indulge in a little "xmas food" if i fancy it... but will not be pressured into excess.. i don't know if your families are the same but lots of good food n drink = a good time... so sitting with an empty plate or glass is a  moment!!!!.. apart from my lovely mum... she doesn't drink anyway....
well i have a loaf of bread just about to come out of the oven..and i have a large pan full of cream of mushroom soup i have just concoted..cooling on the worktop.. thats about 3 flask fulls for hubby.. had a taste and its rather nice...to say it was a make it up as i go along job;)
Sis started her chemo today ... so fingers crossed for her...can't wait to catch up with her..and the rest of the tribe of course..but especially her... got her "pamper hamper" just about finished.. may have to sneak in a few more treats
Hope that pain in the bum you work with is being a bit more civil now..or keeping her trap shut
Newlywed..well done on the extra exercise.... thats what im doing now..poping out to pick up a couple of bits every day... also means you stand more chance of catching any bargainsas well as burning a few cals and getting some "fresh" air :rotfl:

You'll all be so proud of me...
breakfast... 2 satsumas
Lunch.. left over savoury mince and mash
Dinner tonight.. crispy potatoes, chicken dippers and beans.
I've not stuffed anything in between.. Does that make up for the 7 aniseed balls I ate last night?
Newlywed .. So do we!! and sometimes 2 weeks before payday!!..Makes you very creative though!!

L - celery soup, 2 oat cakes, banana
D - chilli made with lots veg, extra brocolli and 2 tablespoons rice

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!
Right I feel better for that:rolleyes: I hate our Asda now, they've altered it all, enlarged the clothes dept, added a jewellery part and removed a lot of the food:mad: I only went to do a top-up but was in there an hour trying to find stuff, half the stuff I wanted wasn't there and the way they've set the shop out is ridiculous  I think I feel a letter coming on......
Tried to phone a taxi from the freephone which wasn't working, tried from my mobile but no answer, it was only because there was one outside from the firm I use whose fare wasn't there that I got home at all!
I resisted going to the chippy and made myself egg and SW chips, I have had 2 slices of bread with it but that's a huge improvement - I would normally have demolished half a loaf with cheese and onion pie and chips!:T
I did have a small piece of cake this afternoon but it was my workmates birthday:j
Right, my headache is starting to ease, I've mopped up the cup of tea I spilt and the washer has just finished so I'm off to put the washing to dry and make another cup of tea!
Have a nice evening all!:A :A
Weigh in tomorrow :eek:0 -
Evening everyone
well i just nearly got crowned  ..sat here at the PC..minding my own business when the lampshade behind me fell off the ceiling and smashed into milions of bits...... just flippin missed me ... its a huge thick frosted glass thing..looks a bit like a flying saucer -not my choice.. its very modern and "minimalist" the army put them in.. if they think we are paying for a new one they can  ....
Katkin..are you vegetarian? if so could you shove some beans in your chilli? only your food seems to be lots of veggies..which are yummy but mainly water, and i always find that after something like that I am hungry again a lot sooner...so some extra protein will keep you feeling full for longer...hopefully:p
oooh i love having those "use it up" days... at the moment im having a ball as i am still using the hm stuff i portioned up and froze ..so its quite a doddle feeding hubby at the moment :T .. mind you im still doing things like the soup as i love to cook...
have about a dozen hm potato, onion, ham n cheese flans to use mmmm with baked beans of course
im determined to use as much as i can out of the freezer before we go away for xmas
well hubby has given the thumbs up to the soup i made earlier...always get him to test it as he has a lot more salt than me... i don't use much...but he is a demon with it.... not bad at all as that soup has made 4 pints... enough for 4 meals...he usually has about 1.5pt....but as this is a creamy rich one he won't eat as much... and for once i made mental note of what went in it so i can do it the same again;) ...i usually "guesstimate"
My next mission is going to be hm oxtail soup.. hubby loves it..i thinks its horrid n salty... still i will grab some oxtail next time im out (tommorow probably...well i must have my walk) and give it a bash..... trying to get plenty of variation in.... don't want the poor soul getting bored... but the flask is the only way i can make sure he gets a hot meal ..in his last unit he had a microwave so ould take a normal dinner and nuke it...that was soooo easy...
well its weigh day in the morning  hope everyone else doing the same does well ..fingers crossed folks...
hope everyone is well, and has had a good day ..keep up the good work:T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
evening!
MRSM - good luck with your weigh in tomorrow! am sure you wont need it though!;)
Am pleased that I have stuck to my meal plans today:j not a piece of cake in sight!:D
see you all in the morning!:wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Good luck for weigh in tomorrow MrsM, hope no other domestic objects fall on you !!! also hope your sisters treatment goes well, I'm sure she will really appreciate her pamper hamper. If you make oxtail soup it doesn't have to be horrid and salty ... best to cook the oxtails and then leave overnight and tale the meat off the bones when its cooled - good shake of worcestershire sauce doesnt go amiss.
rockie well done for resisting the chip shop, averting disaster by substituting hm stuff is greatwell done everyone else even those who don't think they are doing very well - you are cos you're all trying ! hoorah for pigpen and her two satsuma brekker
Have eaten quite a lot but done quite well today I think ! Drank lots of water, herbal tea, fruit juice, milk and some no sugar squash, havent had pepsi in almost a week now !
Breakfast : 2 rice cakes, ham, banana, handful dried apricots.
Lunch : big salad of : organic alfalfa sprouts, celery, apple, cucumber, beetroot, goats cheese crumbled over, with a hm cider vinegar dressing, packet of " Bio " plain potato crisps ( which are my absolute favourite ones, blimmin' yummy ! )
Mid afternoon : 1 slice seedy bread toasted with butter and honey, nuther knob of goats cheese.
Dinner : organic free range pork sausages cooked in the oven with no extra fat - gods they smelt SO good whilst cooking !! potato spinach n onion mash, and baked beans.
Still feel peckish even after all that ! so might tuck into my remaining grapes, couple of oatcakes and yup another knob of goats cheese - sorry, know I shouldnt but its just so tasty, and I'm just amazed at how much I'm enjoying food after being ill.
Have to admit having to run down the freezer for the meat delivery is a bit of a pain. Keep thinking " Oh I'll make such and such for dinner and freeze the remains down " but I can't... and also rather disorientating not having half a dozen portions of hm soup in there if I fancy it ! heh.
