Mrs M, they are gorgeous!!!
I usually have either salad or soup for lunch... but today i've had a tuna mayo red pepper sandwhich and i'm still quite hungry, whereas the soup and salad usually fills me more. Maybe I ate it too quick. Have a yoghurt to have in a bit.... hope my tummy doesn't grumble too much this afternoon!0 -
Yeah men  If he was grumpy all the time I'd just deal with it. But since he upped his exercise and diet he seems to change so quickly - they say women get mood swings but honestly! He's been going from being sweet and lovely to swearing at me. From apologising and making me cups of tea (rare) - to blaming me for him suddenly being grumpy. It makes no sense.
Thinking of what I could slip into his cuppa - wonder if he'd still taste bach rescue remedy or if you can dissolve Kalms tablets in tea????
hi newlywed,
are you sure that you haven't got my oh there with you:eek: It sounds like you are describing him, honest! He has given up smoking and even come off the smoking patches, that he has been using for 4 years and he smoked the odd ciggy as well as!!!
He has just been like your oh, yo yoing from one extreme to the other. One minute singing and laughing then stomping about saying his head felt fuzzy. Men!!!!
I just can't make them out.'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

I did have beans n toast for brekkie..but i only had 1 toast..and was stuffed..it was yummy though..
for lunch i had 4 sesame ryvita jobbies, avocado, a bit of LF cream cheese n onion...yum
Kittyscarlett... pork crackling eughhhh and as for pork scratchings..pig eczame (sp) is what we call it.... my hubby loves them..i think they are totally revolting...
:T ..on your opinion of shoes..im the same..until a pair are literally falling off me i won't look for anymore... i hate it..would be much happier walking bare foot
Taplady ... no biccies for a week  ...well done.... i am soooo glad that im not a big fan of biscuits..phewwwww.. and hubby doesn't bother with them either..which makes life easier..if they were in the house i would probably eat them
Newlywed..well done on your loss this week :T . I think having a potter out for bits n bobs every day is a good idea- thats my plan for now... and it soon adds up on the exerise front..plus you can take advantage of the offers... and eat according to what is the best offer;)
Plus it will get you away from OH when he is in a grump....
Keiss21..
We are having pork tonight..
i just chunk some carrots and slice some onions and throw them in an ovenproof dish..sprinkle on some dried sage stick the pork on top, pour in a bit of water...but so the pork sits on top to start with..cover with foil and whack in the oven for about 30 mins or until the veg is soft.. i then lift the pork out and add some more water and some gravy granules (depending how much gravy you like) and then stick the pork back..sinking it under the gravy and then put back in oven for about another 15 mins...... its yummy and i always do it with pork steaks etc....
you get the lovely "stuffing" flavour with no extra calsand the pork goes all tender...ours is going with plenty of veg and mashed potato n swede tonight....have changed my mind twice today
Come on keiss..that target is still achievable for xmas ... and even if you don't quite reach it..you will still be a lot closer ..you know you can do it:T
Rockie..well done on staying the same.. at this time of year ..all the goodies coming into the shops doesn't make it easy
Bobbadog.... :T glad you are noticing that you are more toned... there are so many ways of Knowing that you are losing weight -without scales.. and its lovely when you start to notice the difference isn't it
Katkin
I used to eat a pea more than a pig... it started as a tot..eating exactly the same as my lovely dad... and its not an easy habbit to break is it!! i have at last got there and now sometimes i look at my portions and think it looks ridiculous.. but i really can't eat a fraction of what i used too....i just reduced mine down bit by bit.
congratulations on getting that jacket nice n comfy :T
Meanmarie..you nearly made me choke on my drink.. "powdered glass" :rotfl:. Im not good at walking just for the heck of it..thats why i now fetch odds n sodds every day..i can convince myself i "need" to go..
Alibow.... the dance class sounds fun... i would love to do that with hubby when i a bit lighter.... always fancied line dancing...hubby would "love" that :rotfl:
Pigpen... hope you are feeling better soon
well unless anyone has snook in whilst i was typing..thats about it...phew

I don't walk just for the sake of it either - can never be bothered.
So today I "needed" milk - well I don't use milk but OH would be even more grumpy if he had no milk for his cuppa . So I took a walk to buy milk - but only bought a 2 pinter as then I know I have to go again on Monday/Tuesdayworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Thanks for the pork ideas Mrs M and newlywed ...passed them by DS2 who prefers the oven casserole with dried sage...not sure if I have dried sage...but plenty of fresh in the garden still, so will try that. Contemplating whether to have rice or bashed neeps & tatties (known as clapshot where I hail from) with it...probably rice as the boys prefer it.
Been to town and got a few things to make up some small gift basket/boxes. At my local cheap shop, I got three bread roll baskets for £1. They are just the right size for a jar of my HM jam (or marmalade) and a few HM cakes/sweets/mince pies. At the same shop I got 50 sheets of tissue paper for £1, so I can make the baskets look festive. I am sure I have a big roll of florists cellophane lurking in the back of a cupboard, so I can give them a touch of glamour too! I also got some of these clip-lid plastic storage tubs, which will also be filled with lots of HM goodies...I am really looking forward to making them all up. This way friends and family get a more personal gift...and it saves me money too, yippee:j:j.
Must go and get the pork on...the boys are off to watch the rugby tonight, so tea will have to be early.
Have a good evening.

Well done on everyone whos had a loss mrs m 3lb brilliant.
DD has just walked in with biscuits and a fruit flan from college she does cooking every friday so i'v just eaten 1 fruit biccy and 1 spice biccy she sold most of them for children in need and just bought a few pks home but i'm trying very hard to forget about the multi pk of mars bars my brother has bought for the kids.
This mprning i went straight from school for a walk to the next village to stock up on hats/scarfs for the kids and hubby, forgot to get any gloves for me so i'm still wearing dd3s barbie gloves they were to big for her but fit me lol anyway when i got into the shop they had a table out filled with cakes , mince pies and wine and were offering them to everyone i quickly walked past without looking at them.
I made soup for lunch it was more of a broth but it was lovely had it with a slice of home made bread.

:T this is it....avoiding those terrible folks offering free goodies...its a blooming minefield out there isn't it :rotfl: ..its bad enough without folks trying to ply us with tempting stuff
for an OSers fave price "nothing" :rotfl:
could you wang the mars bars in the freezer... least if you want one then it going to last aggggges... or if you need something sweet...cut 1 mars bar into thin slices n freeze..then just think how long 1 mars could last and the kids ones can stay in a cupboard;) ..yes I have done that before :rotfl:
Keiss.... just had my pork n sage(well it is 1 hr later here:p ) mmm fresh sage will no doubt be nicer than the dried...was very good only had 1 slice of lean belly pork :A -even though i could have pigged all 7 as its one of my fave meats..
hope you have a lovely relaxing evening to yourself
where are you, you green jumpy creature????? i know you are out there somewhere...you can not ignore me for ever...verrrrry persistant am i
hope all is well frogga-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Fresh sage is lovely - my current plant has survived 3 years in the garden and thrived mostly on neglect
and gives me more than enough for my sage needs. Keiss, your pork dinner is sounding good - I'm a firm belever in the bung a dish in the oven and leave it to its own devices - I love apples and onions with any kind of pork product too.
Well, I ballsed up well and truly today. My kind of lunch was cold spinach mash from yesterday, cold sausages and beetroot - which was perfectly nice. But then I had some kind of major dip in energies and mood midafternoon - went to the shop for bin bags and fruit and ended up buying loads of chocolate etc... I didn't even struggle, I just slipped into I dont care bolshie mode... sigh...so mid afternoon I had - can of diet coke, packet of Magic Stars ( which I dont even like !! ) packet of Minstrels, Frys turkish delight, and a packet of walkers cheese and onion crisps.. came home and scoffed the lot in one goAnd now I most unsurprisingly have a tummy ache. Idiot.
Still comfort eating so have just have a pint sized cuppa and 2 toasted teacakes, I really don't know where this all came fromI naturally don't feel like a proper dinner tonight, will probably have oatcakes, fruit and goat cheese.
