Hello everyone - hope you are all having a great Saturday. Well done Mrs M, Newlywed and all the other losers! Commiserations Juliejim - its so frustrating not to see a loss if you have been good.
Frogga - hope you get back on the wagon soon.
Well, it's official, the no-diet approach is not working either:o I made Mrs M's corned beef hash last night and it was lovely. I had a reasonable portion, then another, then another and then I finished it off (a whole tin of corned beef, about 2lb potatoes and other veg:eek: and THEN - even though I felt as full as a rush hour bus I had 4 slices of toast watching children in Need at about 11.30
AND THEN I had a Magnum and about 4 shortcake biscuits- I feel proper "hung-over" this morning and haven't been able to face anything yet.
I don't know why I do it! I will start again today however, and just try to have three meals and two healthy snacks and see if I can just get by a day at a time. I have to go to the hospital on 30th November and they will weigh me and so far I haven't lost an ounce since I went three months ago and I know that I will feel just awful about it. I went to the eating disorders place last Monday and they told me that I had binge eating disorder - no sh*t! - As if I didn't know!!!!! Then they said that now that they had "diagnosed" me I would go on the waiting list for counselling and that the waiting list is 6 - 9 months long! I only went because I the heart doctor referred me and I have to show willing. because I know what I do is crazy but I can't see how raking up all kinds of childhood memories which are what made me this crazy in the first place will help.
Well so far today I have done all the ironing and been out to the hairdressers and got DD1 off to her Saturday job in Boots- she didn't come in until 6am and had to be out at 8am so she will be really really tired tonight, but I dare say she will be off out tonight too!
My meal PLAN (have to see how it pans out though) for today is:
Breakfast - none (still feeling effects of last nights overindulgence)
Lunch - salad sandwich on wholemeal bread and cup of soup
Snack - Apple and Activia yoghurt
Dinner - pork steak, salad, jacket potato, followed by sugar free jelly and a bit of squirty cream.
If I can get up the gumption, I will make some hm low cal coleslaw - its just lots of shredded cabbage, onion, carrot and apple mixed with hellmann's extra light mayonnaise and Heinz extra light salad cream, salt and pepper and a few raisins and chopped walnuts - its really nice and not too calorific, particularly if I only use about 6 walnuts in total.
Hope you are all having a lovely day.
BTW, those of you who are doing hampers - where do you get the holders for all the stuff? - I have been looking for cheap baskets but can't find any.Jane

I'm getting de ja vous reading that RS!
I was refered to the Eating Dissorders Clininc years ago after the binge that put me in hospital. They told me I had binge eating dissorder. I said
"do I? Are you sure ? Well I never!"
I had to go every week and talk about stuff that I would rather forget. I cried EVERY WEEK and always came straight out wanting more comfort food! I hated it tbh as it didn't change how I feel aboout things. No matter how many people say "it wasn't your fault" et.c if you know it WAS your fault you can't change how you feel can you?
I really don't know if all that stuff is what makes me "stuff" as it happened to my sister and she doesn't do it ~ she drinks like a fish though!:rotfl: I just like stuffing my face! and I don't do it thinking "oh boo hoo look what happened to me"
If I knew the answer I'd be on telly making money!

Morning all,
Kept to my eating plan reasonably yesterday...instead of nuts and raisins had a slice of chocolate cake...wish the bl***y thing was gone!
Today I have eaten for breakfast: fruit and fibre cereal, little milk, added brazil nuts and raisins, coffee.
No idea what we have for dinner, maybe pasta bake or hm pizza, will report back later on what I have eaten

Frogga can I just say you are doing amazingly. Looking at your signature you really are an inspiration!
I've had a bad week. I keep saying I'll be focused and then "something" happens.
This weeks "something" was Mr Kipling and his mince pies. So there's a ban on the until the middle of December.
I haven't lost anything and though i don't have much to go I'm hacked off at my lack of will power!
I've just soup for lunch. Will make beef and carrot stew for dinner and give it to the rest of the family with roasties and yorkshire puddings, and i'll just have the stew with brocolli or something.
Think I need to go for a walk too, lots of exercise methinks!:rudolf:0 -
You just have to be in the right frame of mind to do any diet!0

Afternoon all
just got back from a trip to the Naffi..in the car this time a its to far to walk to this one... came out with some seafood sticks for me for later in the week.. and a "slimming" mag.... called slim at home...never had it before, but will be taking it in the bath with me soon...and will let you know if its any good.... just thought it might keep the motivation up.. on the cover...it has :-
- use your subconscious to help you slim
- lose 20lbs by xmas....big portions, filling food, real results - sounds hopeful
- and "emotional SOS" stop comfort eating now...
- plus recipes etc....
...well he is stuck for what to get me:D .it just looked a little different to WW/SW mags etc...
so i came out with that oh and a bottle of sugarfree cherryade and an orangeade.... its very rare to get hold of any "diet" pop here other than cola.. i very rarely drink pop now..but had a fancying
hubby came out with a big bag of chipsticks, a big bag of cheese puffs, 2 bags of pork scratchings and a topic....the topic he demolished in the car..and it stunk sooo bad i had the window down and froze him alive :rotfl:
I have to say that i really can't get my head around crisps n choc together... i really can't imagine it :rotfl:
Juliejim...don't worry..you will soon fight off that pesky 1/2lb that snook on. Once you have settled into a routine at work..you will do it ...no trouble;)
Donnygal...ok, thats it now..im going to be your very own "slimming stalker" if i don't see your post on here every week im gonna track you down and badger you until you come back to us;) ....you'll be sorrrrry you asked us to bug you :rotfl:
recovering spendaholic.. im sorry you had a problem with the corned beef hash.... i did say it was yummy
...still at least you didn't shove dumplings in it too...
its so difficult i know, but i think everyone has to keep trying and trying until they find what works for them....unfortunately there is no "one size fits all" solution.... im sure you will find your way of doing it soon. I have lost count of the number of things i have tried to get my eating under control.. Im lucky that i have never had any eating dissorders..i can't imagine what it must be like - mine is all down to greed..pure n simple GREED... it has taken me a while to accept this. So come on, you will do this ...don't feel bad of get down on yourself.. you are trying..and you are heading in the right direction...and you WILL do it :T
I think quite a few folks doing the hampers in the UK have got them from, IKEA, Au naturel etc... i think argos were doing some lovely boxes on sale too, well from what i read. Im lucky as the baskets im getting out here are found in the gardening section..folks just have them for putting logs etc in...so they are only costing me about £3.. you can always cover boxes with lovely wrapping paper...
Meanmarie..how much cake have you got left? is it any use freezing it? or will it still be "haunting" you...
well i have had my lunch of lean belly pork, a bit of mashed potato n swede and some peas..left over from yesterday..and i have plated another one up for tomorrow when hubby goes golfing..well he didn't fancy it today-and as i love it..i will use it..ohh the sacrifices i make:rotfl:
Tea is going to be poached chucky egg on toast.. just waiting to put the new loaf in the oven... but i will only have 1 slice and 1 egg... usually have 2 but as i have just had a cooked dinner i reckon 1 wil be fine..
Mirandamayhem..they reckon its more difficult to lose weight when you don't have a lot to shift ...what hope is there for us at this rate :rotfl: ... still about another 7st to shift..so i needn't worry about that yet :rotfl: ... It looks like we are all stepping up our exercise.. walking is all i do, apart from shed loads of house cleaning of course..but i have found the walking really helps not only with losing the weight, but it makes me feel better about myself.. like im actually doing something to look after my body ..at last
Well i had better go and get in the bath with my mag..and about 10 mins later hubby will appear with a cuppa..he always does..bless him;)
well everyone.. i hope you are all having a great weekend.. keep up the good work folks-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

MrsM please let us know how to use our subconscious, and shift 20lb with filling food when you've read the answer!
But then, if it sounds too good to be true......:rotfl:
you're doing amazingly too judging by your signature!
I'd be useless in Germany, too many dumpfnudels and fruit beers would be calling! Thank goodness Lidls haven't realised they could sell dumpfnudels in England, I'd be finished!:rudolf:0 -
