Just popped back on before Emmerdale, Corrie and Heartbeat (I seriously need to get out more:rotfl: ). Todays eating has been okay, though not brilliant but looking at it from a "glass half full" perspective it could have been SO much worse.
Breakfast - two slices (small loaf) wholemeal bread, with little flora
Lunch - bowl of hm lentil soup, plus 2 squares of Cadburys creme egg chocolate
Snack - Bite of DD1's ice cream bar, slice of wholemeal bread
Dinner - Roast chicken, hm coleslaw, few oven chips, pot of Mandarins in juice with some Carte D'or lite vanilla ice cream
Just now - still hungry so had a slice of toast with some philadelphia light and about to have a cup of tea.
hopefully I won't have anything else tonight.Jane

Evening all
Hubby is finally off the PC :T .. but is now in the laundry room in the basement ironing his uniform for the morning... with the CD on and i can hear him howling... sorry "singing" an I'm in the living room..sounds like i have a caged animal down there:rotfl: ..bless his socks.... he gets all the right notes..just in the wrong order :rotfl:
well i had my 1 weetabix for brekkie, and then a bit of mash and the last of the pork and veg for lunch.... was planning on roast chicken dinner this evening..but hubby got in at 1:30pm and was hungry so i did him a hot chicken n mustard sandwich, which means neither of us were hungry enough for a dinner.... i was going to have weetabix instead..but i still feel stuffed... its the TOTM next week and i always find that the week before i never feel hungry ... so i will make the most of it
...
I turned the leftover chicken into chicken/bones, sweetcorn and noodle soup with some dried mushrooms in and a few frozen peas...to cut through all that creamy texture... its not bad at all..hubby thinks its lovely..so we have some in the jug for his flask tomorrow and 2 batches in the freezer :T ..
I feel like my freezer is like the "magic porridge pot" if anyone read it as a child.. im taking stuff out..but not gaining any spaceit really is odd... im trying to run the thing down.. but its not budging  ... i think i am going to have to make a serious effort to use more out of there..its all stuf i made and put in there anyway.... so as little shopping for me as possible from now until i go home on the 17th dec ....
Recovering spendaholic... off the top of my head my bread machine is a Morphy Richards..but he now lives in a box in the basement... i only ever used it to make dough as i like my bread done in the oven... and now i find it really quick to make it by hand....i will post the recipe if you want it.. i use no fat or milk ...and if i say so myself ..i make stunning bread :rotfl: ... the best thing to do is slice it as soon as its cool and then i freeze in 2s.... it tastes like fresh every time..well thats if i can get it in the freezer before hubby gets a whiff of it :rotfl:
if you do get a machine and need recipes..let me know as 1 have 2 or 3 bread making books..and some brilliant recipes
I have decided to subscribe to that mag...(in fact im subscribing when i have posted this) i like it... it seems more aimed at dealing with why you eat what you eat, and how to get a better, more balanced relationship with food....and eating basic foods to improve overall health -than the normal eat this, don't eat that...
www.slimathome.co.uk will show you what mag you are looking for if it helps.
I have a feeling that it would be Kittyscarletts kind of "weight loss mag" not that it probably has much in there that she doesn't allready know
Rockie4.. glad you are feeling a bit better :T
Meanmarie..lettuce sandwiches are supposed to help you sleep... some kind of chemical it has in there apparently.... i can't manage much raw onion it gives me heart burn...especially the ones here..they are so hot it isn't funny...peeling them is a nightmare ..even my hubby gets reduced to tears after 1 :rotfl:
Taplady.. so glad you had a lovely weekend..so what if you had a few treats.. don't blame you..its not often you get to go away i bet...
ooohhh why is everyone losing their "assets" .. no doubt mine will go eventually....
I too have a selection of mags with wrinkled edges where i may have nodded off in the bath :rotfl:
Katkin.. i love chinese food and out here the chinese buffets are out of this world... (not that i have had one since we moved here this time)non of that loads of stuff keeping warm, they scuttle back n forth replacing stuff left right n centre and for about £4.00 at lunch times and £7.50 in the evenings.... i used to do me n hubby a selection of stuff, i love having little bits of several things .... i will let you know what i decide oni have quite a lot that i think are really reasonable on the cals front.. so i will share them with you all:D
well folks i had better get off, hoping my blisters will be ok for the morning as i WILL be having a walkonly 4 weigh days left for my xmas target

Evening all J
Thanks for the good wishes re my working day julijeim, you will forgive my hollow laugh at the thought of it being " good "
It seemed a very long day … however, the ratio of people that we had to deal with who were complete morons seemd to be lower. The ploughmans lunch was nearly a disaster – the lass who was supposed to be bringing in the veggie bits just brought a bag of salad leaves ! and the other one had completely forgotten about it so we nearly had no bread, luckily she managed to nip to Sainsburys after an emergency call and got a nice fresh granary loaf. Also luckily I brought grapes, apple and chutney with me as well as the cheeses or it would have been a bit cloying. If only I’d known, I have loads of celery, tomatoes, radishes etc at home that I could have brought with me.
Due to the blimmin ‘orrible weather, today’s exercise consisted of a ten minute dash to the bus stop and a 2 minute dash on the way back ! but the plus point of that was I didn’t feel like stopping off at the shop on the way home and buying rubbish food, went straight home and made myself a low fat Horlicks ! and altho I fancy a hot dinner I am also being too much of a tired chilly lazybum to do the washing up, so it’ll be ham, jacket spud and salad bits.
Frogga, Mr W. Power flits to and fro in my life like a Will O’The Wisp, he’s rather inconsistent but I’ll see if he has a brother for you
MrsM, this will come as no surprise to you as you are my long lost twin :P but I also love a good soak in the bath, yes I read in there sometimes and yes I have books that have gone a bit wrinkly ( more than me even ! ) through accidental immersion …and yes I remember the magic porridge pot as a child ! ( wish I had one for real now as an adult !! ) I’ve bookmarked that magazine’s site and will take a peek later. Btw, don’t forget to give your feet a good soak in a bowl of warm salt water, will help ease/heal the blisters.
Pipgpen…. Chicken soup !!! will help that rotten cold, as you are having a chicken anyway, what better use for the remains ! oddly enough when I have a cold I find I go off cooked food completely apart from a bit of toast.
Rs – ooo yeah, it sounds as though with your kids you would make good use of a breadmaker – would satisfy their obsession and cut down on waste – who knows, you could even train them to use it and make their own
Rockie – glad you are feeling better.
Meanmarie – cor, glad you managed not to have nightmares after your onion sandwichI believe tryptophan is the chemical in lettuce and apparently turkey that helps sleep. Also I remember readng somewhere that the ancient greeks used dried lettuce juice as a kind of anaesthetic, and in Culpepers Herbal there was something lettuce cooling mens lust or somesuch.. now you know, LOL !
Taplady – awww now that doesn’t sound too bad, It was a weekend away after all and you have to let your hair down sometimes…tomato is a fruit btw
Katkin – the healing properties of digestive biscuits are a secret best kept amongst ourselves, best not tell the rest of the world or there would be a global shortage :P
Right, off to watch Cranford with a hot bouillon drink, have a good evening ladies J

Evening everyone, Had roast beef with all the trimmong today plus a very small piece of jam roly poly first time iv made it.I'm not hungry but im trying to fight the urge to ask oh if he wants cheese on toast as what i will really mean is i'll do him a few slices then scoff a slice in the kitchen then oh will then feel guilty coss im not eating and then offer me a slice and i'll say ok then and i'd probably end up eating more then what oh would. this is something that i didnt even realise i did i prepare things for the kids or hubby and i'm stuffing my face as im doing it sometimes i'll even make to much on purpose i'm even worse when doing the sandwhiches for the lunch boxes .
Hope everyones having a good night net x x x0 -
Thanks for the lettuce tip Mrs MCC and Kittyscarlett...only problem is that we finish whatever lettuce we take in every day and some poor drunk would have a seizure if he were passing at 4am and there was a mad looking oul wan in a dressing gown out in the garden picking lettuce...will remember to bring some in at night from now on!
Onions have never been a problem for me, could probably eat them in my sleep and not suffer any ill effects!
OH gone to bed not feeling well, if he knew that my plan for him to-morrow is dismantling some of the kitchen he would probably have had a bowl of crushed glass just to get out of doing it...we shall see what happens!
Sleep well all,

Morning Kika and Welcome,
The "Campaign" is just something some of us use to try and help! Although I'm being Terrible at the Mo! ANYONE can post on here and join in there is no membership:T . We got to about no. 40 I think but I can't remember exactly which number! What a terrible Campaign Manager I am! There are lots of posters on here who haven't "joined" , but if you want to put FAWLC in your signiture if you think it will help, please do xx You'll have to make up a number ~ my guess is we were up to about no.41 ish:rotfl: God I'm hopeless! Some people put their details in their signiture (but that means people can see when you're not doing too well either!) Good Luck whatever you deciede to do
Morning Mob,
Morning MrsM MeanMarie, Taplady, RS et al xxxx
