Its a well known fact that our men have this psychic ability to "sense" when we have a job for them to do... its quite amazing just how accute it is ;)
I'm sure that if he doesn't make a start on the kitchen.. he may well be getting "ground glass" anyway :rotfl:

Hi there Kika and welcome..

Hya folks...what a nasty weekend wasn't it! At least this morning the sun is shining...and it is dry. DH gave a talk in Rugby last night and came out @10pm to find 1/2 an inch of snow on his beloved Mini, he did not enjoy his dive back home...aaargh.

Well, weighed in this morning...was sure I had lost weight...but have stayed the same....waaah

I think I will get DH to measure me this evening when I get home from work...I know I have got thinner...honest!

So this morning I am off to do a few km on the bike before settling down to my college homework.

DS2 has at last gone back to school...he has been off with damaged muscles in his leg (too much exercise too quickly after damaging his shoulder!) for nearly 2 weeks...here's hoping I don't get a phone call from school today. It's funny having an empty house again!:j

Actually, when I think of it...the past two weeks I have had little or no weight loss...could it be my son's influence!!

So I'm back on the wagon fully and determined to have a good week...despite it being my birthday on Wed. We have talked about going out for a meal...can't remember when me and DH did that last...Christmas last year perhaps....? Not sure whether to go and enjoy myself..or get some nice food in and try not to veg out.

Perhaps I could be extra good and also go out for a meal...after all, you are only 47 once! :rotfl:

Must go and get back to my exercise regime. Will walk the dog too before working from 2pm to 9pm today.

Have a great day everyone :A

  • morning losers and tryers all ! :)

mayz and kika, this thread is for everyone and anyone trying to lose weight the OS way, you're more than welcome :) as frogga has explained above, she has her weightloss campain which you are welcome to join in if you would like a number etc :)

Well yet again I have a porridge craving, yet again its unlikely to be satisfied this morning ( where o where is that magic porridge pot !! ) Hopefully I will at least have time to get a couple of hot drinks - I really do find making a drink out of Swiss Marigold bouillon powder very useful and tasty and warming. Lunch will likely be scrambled eggs and wholemeal toast and baked tomatoes. No idea as to dinner, I should get a welly on with tidying up the kitchen so I can actually make something ! possibly scampi or Quorn casserole, also dependant on whether I have enough energy to go veggie shopping this afternoon.

Have a good day all :)

  • Morning!
I'm coming down with man cold today, so I've got to be extra vigilant in my not snacking!
I've had finn crisps with some turkey and cranberry for breakfast.
Will have soup for lunch and then pasta and a sauce for dinner.
I'm not dieting so much as not snacking and making healthier choices.
Got housework to do in mounds as well today so hopefully that will keep me occupied!

Morning all. Welcome to any new posters ;)

No snow here at all - not even a hint of it :(

Was fairly good at the weekend - didn't make any cakes but did steal a couple of choc chip biscuits - but it was only a couple and not the whole pack for a change :p

Tea today is in the slow cooker - sausage casserole with chanteysummat baby carrots from Aldi (only so I don't have to chop them up :D)

Lunch is left over pasta from yesterday.

Running low on money this month - as usual  so that usually helps with reducing food portions ;)

    Morning all :T

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies :A
I feel rotten again this morning, I've dragged myself into work though:rolleyes: Headache's moved to the other side  (quite 'normal' for me, when I get one it lasts about a week on and off and swaps sides - I'll be ok by midweek)

I've had toast and marmalade for brekkie and have a cheese and beetroot on OH's yummy home made bread for lunch but if this headache develops I might have to get sommat else:mad: or maybe just remove the cheese......
I've just had a homemade date, apricot and almond muffin as the bananas I bought at weekend are still too green to eat  Not doing very well here am I?????
Tea will be some of the bean stew that I made yesterday with either couscous or rice.

That 'slim at home mag' looks good :D does anyone know if you can get it in the shops here? I'm reluctant to take out a subscription if I've not had a proper look at it?

Everyone sounds a lot more positive this morning - has Mr W Power returned to us all??:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'd like to join in because I am getting fat, I was weighed at the doctors the other day and I had a fit because I was nearly 12 stone eek! Guess, I will have to go out and buy some scales to help me monitor my weight. Any tips though would be helpful in the meantime.
