DD decided to wake up at 4am, after I sent her back to her bed I heard drawers going, went to investigate and she'd got her school uniform on.

So needless to say I don't feel like doing anything and this is where I'll struggle as I'll want chocolate to wake me up during the day!

Any ideas what I can eat to wake me up and keep me awake - rather than chocolate for a sugar boost?

Hope everyone has a good day

    hi everyone

Hoping to do well with my eating today. Plan is Porridge for breakfast, fruit mid morning, home made lentil soup and fruit for lunch, (have a ryvita if peckish) chicken (cooked in slow cooker), potatoes and veg for dinner. Tonight I shall make some fairy cakes and freeze some. My aim is to have one treat a day (crisps, chocolate or cake). Sounds good. I shall try and eat fruit if I get peckish.
Mrs McC would you mind posting your recipe for home made bread. I find it difficult to buy a decent loaf which I enjoy. However can you also post tips on slicing the home made bread as I find it quite difficult to get even slices.
My plan with the bread is to freeze and take home made soup and a slice of bread for lunch a couple of days a week.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Well the head isn't quite in gear for slimming yet, but I am trying:o . Portion sizes reduced, only Lurpak Light, Skimmed Milk, and no Cream in the Fridge, (brought some cheese back from France though! :D ) Fridge now full of fresh veg/salad/fruit. Light Yogurts also now available.

Went shopping yesterday, does walking round shops count as exercise?:rotfl: Had to drive to them. Had a snack lunch before going to Aldi, (daren't go hungry) Cheese & Tuna toastie with a Cappaccino, naughty, but nice:rolleyes: , and better than the buns/cakes.

However, I naughtily got weighed this morning only 4 days, trying to kick myself into life and the scales showed 4lb down:T :T . Now I need to keep it going.

B - 2 Weetabix with 4 stay moist Apricots and SM
L - Need to make a salad for me and DH
D - Finney Haddock and veg for me, and prob. sausages for DH

Red wine spoiled all my plans. I have no will power.
    A new day I suppose!

hugs juliejim. Though nice to know your DD is keen to get to school! :rotfl:
donny gal, walking round shops definately counts as exercise!
good luck today mayz. I've got soup for the rest of the week, though tomorrow is a bad day as I'll be going out with my mum for her birthday lunch!
Frogga I keep saying I want a stomach bug. I think my constitution is too strong currently. Maybe i need a tape worm!:rotfl:

Good luck to everyone else today. I best get moving and get the child 1 to school!

  • Cute n quirky, your question on powerplates has been moved to the I wanna buy it or0 do it section where it's been given its own thread, since it's not an old style or a weight loss question.

Hopefully you'll get more resonse there.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

    Morning ladies!:j
Feeling much better today, OH seems to be recovered as well so normal working can be resumed.:T
Brekkie was muesli and soya milk, lunch is a hummus and salad buttie on homemade multigrain bread. I’ve got fruit salad and a little pot of hummus with carrot dippers for the hunger pangs and tea will be the bean stew and couscous that I was going to have last night.
I’m feeling slightly more motivated today, :j I might even go for a swim at lunchtime! :D ~I woke up at stupid o clock so I listened to my PMK cd and went back to sleep:rotfl:
I check my food budget after last night's trip to Tesco and I'm well under budget - YAY!!! so I think I might get myself a few nice bits - nice fruit and things to help with the night-time nibbles......I deserve it don't I ??:D

All the rest of the cake is in the freezer, I think Mayz's idea of one treat a day is a good one so I'll get ONE muffin out when I get home!
Think I'll make some soup tonight for tomorrow's lunch....leek and potato - YUM!!

Have a good day one and all!!:A

Morning everyone! Am craving sugar today so am just having a cup of coffee (milk, 1 sugar)...

    Today:
Breakfast: Oatiflakes w/ semi skimmed, Earl grey, swig of cranberry juice (OH drank the rest! Grr!)
Lunch: leftover chicken balti from last night (mainly rice) and ski yoghurt
Dinner: Spaghetti Carbonara (bacon, no mushrooms - have ran out! In fact, only thing in fridge is celery. Mmm)

Have rice-cakes to snack on should I need them x
