Morning All, Hi MrsM, MEanMarie, Kitty, Thisisit,RS, et al who I forgot xxx

Just a quickie as very busy day ahead ~ Mr Frogs family comming round so need to do all my jobs first. The hounds are crossing their legs!:rotfl:

Thanks for the possitive comments re: me being a greedy piggy at the mo , I will get back on track. I think there is nothing more to it than habbit. I get into a habbit of healthy eating and that's why I do well, or I slip up and get into the habbit of being a greedy piggy!:o

A lot of you talk about "will power" , what is it? Where can I get some ? I've looked in Tesco but they don't seem to do it! Is it expensive? Perhaps some of you who have alot of it could spare some for Me and RS?:T

    Right, I'm off.................

Hi MrsM I don't know how you can relax in a bath ~ it's SO BORING!!!!!!;) and I fancy a look at that mag, want to come round for a coffee and show me? x

Hope you have a good day with the inlaws ...

Now this "willpower" thing... its very hard to get hold of :p ... i put my name on list -many years ago... it took the best part of 20 years for my name to get to the top of the list...when mine got delivered ...ooh i was so excited.. but i keep expecting them to put out a recall on it for being faulty..... have shoved mine in the freezer to try and make it last longer (where the ice cream used to be:rotfl: ).....

Kittyscarlett.... hope you get through today ok..... ploughmans mmm pickled onions, mango chutney and crusty bread...
a salad isnt 2 tomatoes n a bit of cumber is it  .... it needs to be a great big bowl ful of lovely crunchy stuff;)

Well hubby tootled off to play golf at 8am  ..so as i was awake i got up... i have my weetabix soaking in the fridge and will have that in a moment..then i need to get th chicken in the oven...
having roast chicken, potatoes, carrots, nobbies, cabbage and peas for dinner when hubby gets in...

Going to strip the chicken off as soon as its done and get some stock made and then turn it into chicken noodle soup for hubbies flask tomorrow. might make another loaf..have some left from yesterday..but it depends if hubby gets the munchies again.... will check and see if i can hold on until the morning.... Am tempted to make a loaf of onion bread...it is stunning, hubby prefers plain white... but i could slice it up and freeze it for me :D

Have have been sat flicking through my cook books as i fancy a chinese.. so im planning what to make next weekend.... i have a lovely Asian cookery book.... broken up into the various areas,,,and with lovely pics and there are some really sensible dishes in there :T ....all with the nutritional counts:j

    noodles for breakfast.

The chicken I wanted to do for dinner isn't defrosted so I'll have to concoct something else to feed everyone!

I might go purchase some more satsumas.. I like those!! I need some bits for the childrens pack ups for tomorrow anyway.

This cold is killing me!! I aren't hungry so am having to force feed myself.. and everything tastes of nothing and I just want to go to bed.. at least during the week I may have to get up early but I can spend all afternoon in bed while the children are all at school.. Can't do that on a weekend!

Does it count as weight loss if the scales flick between 6-7lb rather than 7-8lb ?? Or is that the 3 inches difference in floor position?? lol

  • Hello everyone - hope you are enjoying Sunday. Well yesterday's eating was a decided improvement on Friday's but not, alas, perfect. I had a good day until about 10.30pm when I went into the kitchen to get stuff out of the freezer for today and found myself eating a Magnum type lolly ice which was lurking in the freezer from who knows when - it wasn't even nice - the chocolate was all bashed and the ice cream was all iced up, however I ate it and then I finished off the bits which kids has left from tea - They had been miderring for Iceland party bits so I gave in yesterday and got some little frozen prawn, duck and hot dog thingies which of course the wanted but hardly touched so I couldn't waste them now could I? No, even though they were rank I ate them, but still it wasn't a full blown binge so that's an improvement;)

Today has been 2 slices of small-loaf wholemeal seed toast for breakfast, a bowl of hm lentil, vegetable and ham soup (I made some last week and froze portions of it) and two small pieces of chocolate which DD1 had bought and left on the counter in the kitchen for lunch (there was only 2 squares cos if there had been more I'd have eaten them - but I ask you WHO leaves 2 squares of chocolate when they have a bar to eat?????????). So today isn't too bad so far. I was planning to make a roast chicken dinner for tea, but TBH I am really tired and don't feel like cooking so I might just have the chicken with some salad and left over hm low cal coleslaw from last night's tea. DD1 has gone to town with the boyfriend and DD2 has been waiting for ex-OH to come and take her out since lunchtime but so far he is a no show - he will probably turn up at about 5 o'clock and proceed to lie on the sofa watching telly all night:mad: .

I bought some ground almonds in Mr T's yesterday to make the Splenda cake but don't know how fattening it would be, given that I am not good with portion control. It uses 6 eggs, 2 oranges, 200g of ground almonds and Splenda. Might give it a miss and just have sugar free jelly tonight with some mandarins in it.

My sister wants me to take her to Costco tomorrow and when I was there a couple of weeks ago they had Panasonic breadmakers for £54 + VAT. I am so tempted to get one - what kind is your BM mrs M? I seem to always have loads of bread in which the kids eat, but they are obsessed with having FRESH bread and so won't use or eat it if it is from a packet that's already open so I waste alot of bread that I can't sneak past them, and a BM would help with that problem.

Frogga - hope you have a nice day with the in-laws
Mrs M - chicken noodle soup sounds lovely - recipe would be appreciated as it is DD2's favourite soup! - Also is that magazine any good - I looked for it in the newsagents before but couldn't see it at all.
Pigpen - hope you feel better soon
Kittyscarlett - hope you manage to get a nice ploughman's - I am not really a fan of ploughmans TBH, I prefer cooked cheese.

    Afternoon ladies.:T

Feeling better today, Fridays migraine developed into a monster and left me feel ing fragile until late yesterday and then the feeding frenzy took over.:o

Today I've been cooking for the freezer and baking so I've just had a muffin (well, you have to try them don't you;) )
I've made a caramelized onion and lentil wellington for tea (not exactly diet friendly) and a huge pan of bean stew which will be the basis for a few meals this week.

Willpower........might have to ask PMK if I can have some back!:D

MrsM and Frogga - I can't relax in a bath but it might be something to do with my bathroom which has no windows but does have a very noisy fan:rolleyes: so unless you sit in the bath in the dark and get someone to switch the light on when you're ready to get out.............

I hope everyone enjoys what's left of this very wet and soggy weekend!!:A :A

Hello Frogga, MrsMCC, Recovering Spendaholic, Rockie4, Pigpen (definitely a loss!),Kittyscarlet, Juliejim and anyone else who is lurking.

Not sure whether my 4am onion sandwich should go into to-day's or yesterday's eating, couldn't sleep for some reason and then started feeling hungry and obsessed, so had it and managed to go asleep afterwards.

    B. Bacon lettuce & tomato sandwich, coffee:
    L. Homemade veg soup, slice homemade rye bread ( mix from Lidl if I'm honest);
Dinner will be poached salmon, peas and potatoes...not in humour of spending time as have to get on with knitting.

    22.11
DD4 went to get a dvd and came back with a frys turkish delight for me...which I ate and followed by a tiny slice of the chocolate cake from hell! Feeling hungry now so just had 3 homemade crackers with some hummous....gggggrrrrrrrr!

    Good luck to all

    Good evening everyone

    Another weekend nearly over.

I had a bit of a riot yesterday, too much wine and I ended up eating far too much of all the wrong things. Woke up in the middle of the night with a bit of a hangover and the only thing that made me feel better was 8 digestives and a cuppa....:o

Back on track today - been for a long walk, made soup, dhall for tomorrow and prepared lots of veg for oven roasting. I've still to make a loaf and do my ironing...

recovering spendaholic - I count kneading my own bread as exercise, very good for the upper arms and bust!:rotfl:I've not tried a BM, but we don't eat that much bread here, I can see it would be useful if you use lots.

MrsM, I love oriental food, you must keep us posted on what you decide to make. What about something with prawns or fish, hot n' sour?

    Todays eats:
B - shreddies with s milk, OJ, tea
    L - hm leek & potato soup, 2 satsumas, 1/2 banana
D - lamb steaks, lots oven roast veg followed by blackberries with lite toffee yogust and sprinkle topping of cinnamon n' brown sugar

Have my week's menu plan worked out and think I will get on a lot better when I get back into my work routine (no fridge in my office!), though it'll be back to walks in the dark after dinner.

Best of luck with the new week everyone
