bobbadog - you could stir fry some chopped fish with the prawns and lots of frozen veg. Add your stir fry sauce and serve over noodles?

Or if you have potatoes you could do fish pie with the coley, prawns, white sauce and then mash on top?
That's about as much as I can see, sorry.

Thanks for the comments, the stomach ache etc is paint. OH thinks I'm mad saying that but gloss paint does it to me every time and he spent yesterday painting skirting boards in the hall and the living room door. This morning woke up with stabbing pains in stomach and nausea. It's more annoying as the pain and nausea comes and goes in waves.

On another note - he's just apologised ;)

    Morning all :D

Well i parked my bum at the PC this morning.. convincing myself that..well "you don't HAVE to go for a walk this morning", "nothing you need", "done lot this week"...blah blah blah...read the new posts ...froggas was last THEN... and by the time i had done..you lot had convinced me that i WAS going for a walk  ..... and 1hr 45 mins later..IM BACK ..sweating...hmm sorry perspiring like a donkey:rotfl: ... trundled of to the supermarket called "real" 30 mins there, 45 mins going round..its huge but i missed lots of alleys out and 30mins back....so thank you one and all... and as a bonus i got a new pair of boots..well i have 1 pair of pull on trainers and 1 pair of summer shoes oh and one pair of boots with heels... i HATE shoe shopping..i HATE shoes..would rather go to the dentist.. anyway i knew that if i was going to carry on walking i was going to need something more sensible..got and super bargain...
a pair of suede boots with fluffy linings..the ones that come sort of 1/3 up your calf...good thick rubber soles with good grips for the princely sum of 10euro -about £7.50 :T ... they should have been 50euros ;) very sensible for this weather..my mum would be proud :rotfl: . They are tan..which isnt my fave colour but they looked really nice with my long denim skirt... and i have gone down 1 whole shoe size and still have room left for some thick socks (which i also hate-but have decided to wear to stop my boots getting smelly pfhhh)...

    Bobbadog...

what about seafood lasagne? the colley, prawns, peas and any other veg you like
make a sauce with milk and cornflour and stir in some cream cheese.. layer and grate a bit of the cheese over the top...

recovering spendaholic...hope peace has returned to your house now..
And shake hands with me.. i find it easier to lose weight in the autumn winter too :j we can be odd together....

meanmarie.... i will have to pass on the fennel..i can only think of that, oysters, whitebait and bakewell pudding that i really really can't eat...eughhhh.. in fact bakewell pudding is worse than fennel...

Taplady :T on another loss..and :j :j on being sooo close to your target.. im hoping to be about 10st in time for xmas too..hmmm 2008 in my case though :p still i will get there..i have spent 30 odd years collecting this fat so as long as its coming off thats fine ;) .. bet you will feel so good at xmas..all those gatherings and looking and feeling your best :T

Alibow.. if rude folks get on your nerves you need to come and live here for a while... i used to get really irritated by the folks.but once you realise that its just the way they are..and you join in to..it really is liberating :rotfl: .. they should give out a guide book... now if im in the supermarket i move my trolley for no-one...it seems to be standard practice here :rotfl: .... it gets quite fun watching some of the locals in the shops....
sorry you have found that your scales were wrong..don't let it put you off.. you will get rid of it... i still need to shift another 7st 5lbs -ish :rotfl:

Keiss21.. glad you got an appology...and glad the grumpy old moo didn't upset your mood for too long :T

thank you for putting me out of my mysery about what "bath chaps"are... kittyscarlett -they sound like something i would probably like :p .. im affraid that breast of lamb, belly pork, pork hock, shin beef etc -all the fatty cuts are the ones i like :o -get that off my dad...and i like all my meat "wobbly".. cant stand pork crackling.. but love wobbly pork fat on a piece of meat -that was dads doing too:rotfl:
Im intrigued about what your "really old style" way of eating might be ... mmm tell me more ;)

Taplady..hope you have a lovely weekend..im sure all those - hmm-"other things" will help you burn of the full english.. i mean all that walking etc...bound to burn some cals ;) ..ok you get 2 mentions as you posted 2 since i last posted :p ..sorry frogga .there i have mentioned you twice too now :D

Hi madsmum..... hope all is well with you,

Newlywed... sorry OH is being a grouch.... my nephew is body building.. and so on virtually no carbs... not only does it cost a ruddy fortune but my brother has noticed that when he is on the really strict phase he is tetchy and snappy..mind you at 19 he gets yanked back into line ;)

Why shouldn't he do some of the driving ..you aren't a chauffeur (sp)... hope he gets his act together soon and stops being nasty.... don't let him drive you to comfort eating(don't know if you are a comfort eater)... don't give him the satisfaction... come on here and vent your anger.... hope things are better soon...

    Rockie4....
Im lucky my hubby is really easy going and chilled - he would have to be to live with me :p ..although he reckons that i do what he has called "vision no sound"..namely its obvious that im annoyed with him but im not going to say anything..but will sit there making it clear that im peeved -"vision no sound" :rotfl: ..the thing is it is soooo true :rotfl:

This is it... that should make a lovely broth/stew...yummmy.... lovely n warming this weather too.

morning Frogga you will be sick of xmas goodies before xmas gets here ;) ..hope you are well

well whilst in the supermarket i got 2 packs of mushrooms-half ordinary and half chestnut and im going to use them and some dried i have to make hubby some creamy mushroom soup for his flask, got some thin slices of belly pork....suprisingly lean....for £3 a kilo... so got 2 packs for the freezer...
oooh and soup really fine soup noodles..thought i would have a go at some chicken noodle soup for hubby too... i think thats about all i got...:A .. even though i had to walk past the chicken van outside the supermarket, a gyros pplace, 2 bakeries, a greeks bar, plus others.. i have never know anywhere have so many kinds of £eateries" in and around a supermarket as germany
oh and i need to get a loaf made....
well good luck to those weighing in with me in the morning...

hope everyone has a good day..sorry for the essay again..but im sure you expect nothing less :p
keep up the good work everyone...

well i had better get off and give mum a ring...

Good Morning...winter has certainly arrived...frost and fog..brrrrr! Ii has only just crept above zero now...0.5 degrees C...at nearly midday!

Thanks for your kind thoughts again re work.:T

Newlywed...I am always ill when we paint anything in the house, especially with gloss or satin-wood. In the summer we painted the inside and outside of our front windows with Sadolin ...very fumey! My asthma was very bad for a week, I normally sleep in my Ikea Poang chair in the sitting room when I am bad, but since we had painted the bay window inside and out...it was worse than upstairs! In fact all my family, husband and two strapping teenage boys were ill, feeling sick and nauseous...so the conservatory will have to wait until next year! I am reasonably okay with emulsion, I have found leaving an onion cut in half in a bowl in the room for a day or two certainly seems to get the smell down faster....if you don't mind the smell of onion!

I have had a smear test this morning...lovely new lady doctor...thankfully the "doctor from hell" has left the practice, but she is at the local Family Planning Practice where I will have to go early in the New Year to get my present coil removed and another inserted (aaaaaarggghhhh!). Oh well such is life. It will be bad at the time, but at least I won't have all the pain and agony every month (2 weeks out of 4!)...my poor family! I also know if I go without...I am still liable to fall pregnant...even at 47 (well nearly, next week!), hubby could have the snip, but I wil still have the monthly agonies IYKWIM.

Now off back to my homework...feeling much better about it now, college tonight.

    Food today:

    B: Special K + soya milk + OJ
1 small square HM flapjack (better than Mars Bars!)
L: Granary baguette from local bakers...mmm...might have bacon in or perhaps tomato..perhaps both!
Fruit, perhaps cereal bar if I get some
T: not sure...perhaps pasta cheese once I get back from college...or even better...porridge!

Have a grrrrrreat day, wrap up warm!;);)

Thanks mrsm. Should have known you'd have a theory on that too ;) Will try that if the flat still stinks of gloss and paint thinners when we get home tonight :D

Just been for another walk to Aldi. This time I managed not to buy any fig rolls or leibkuchen :rotfl:

Got kids breakfast cereal, kids biscuits, low fat yogs, fresh baby carrots (make it easier to bung in the slow cooker) and some eggs.

Noticed they do 4 nice size pork chops for £2.99 so that's cheaper that Mr T and they do a nice pork loin joint, and nice luxury gammon steaks. The mince in there looked well dodgy this week though - have had it before and it's been fine. ;)

Resisted all the meat options as I already have gammon steaks and pork joint in the fridge ;)

Got part bake baguettes for saturday lunch too - have ham and cheese already to go in them :D

Feeling better after my walk - would say it was the fresh air but the walk is alongside a dual carriageway :rotfl:

Might have to switch to buying most of our shopping in Aldi and going nearly every day - quite enjoying the walking when it's dry and sunny ;)

Thanks for all your advice earlier everyone! Just bit the bullet and spent £18 between the market and Tesco - but we're easily sorted for a week now :) Does me good, emptying the cupboards and freezer entirely every now and then, I reckon, proper early spring-clean x
