    Morning Fellow Fatties,

I'm being a bit of a Piggy at the mo:o Had some xmas food a few days ago , and can't seem to get back on the straight and narrow!

I would list everything I've eaten but they have a limit on how long your posts can be ( Not that MrsM had realised that!;) ) and it wouldn't all get on!:rotfl:

Never mind, soon be xmas and I'm really going to get back into it next year. Oooooo, just looked at the callendar and realised that it's still only half way through Nov so perhaps it's a bit early to start celebrating!:o Ooooops!

Have a good day all, Hi to all esp MrsM, taplady (:T on the loss) MeanMarie now off to do the ironing xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Never mind Frogga... I think a lot of people's response to the weather getting colder and the days much shorter and darker is to raid the larder/fridge...just tell yourself it's your primitive hibernation instinct kicking in ! I for one would be quite happy to find a warm dark corner and curl up in for the winter ( layer of insulating leaves optional ) with a big comforting bowl of mashed potato and then go to sleep until spring !

You'll get back on track, just have a talk to yourself and tell your body its the 21st century and you can add extra layers of jumpers not food for the winter !

Bum, just realised its nearly 9am, gotta go on duty, have a good day all !

Morning all. Well OH seems to be back into git mode this morning including swearing at me  Apparently I'm making up that I don't feel well today since I managed to empty the bins this morning - did it because I couldn't face the strop he'd have thrown. But then he threw one because I asked him to drive this morning as I had stomach ache and felt sick. He said no then criticised how I was driving  He rarely drives and always expects me to but then moans about how I drive.

So I'm glad my hand slipped last night when adding the oil to his salad but doubt he'll even notice

Think his high protein, low carb diet with all the exercise and weights is making his mood swings even worse. Seems this month he can't last more than 3 days without a mega strop or swearing at me. But if I suggest that, he'll claim it's not true that it's my fault and I'm making excuses

Feel like I can't win at the moment. :(

Anyway tea will be pork chops in a jar of sweet and sour sauce which hopefully will have congealed over 8 hours into something inedible since it's his favourite and he doesn't deserve it ;)

  • Hello everyone - hope you are all enjoying this lovely frosty winter weather - I love it when it gets really cold like this (but them I am odd;) ) - somehow I always find it easier to stick to any kind of diet in the cold weather.....

Alibow - hope you have a better day today - I don't really like Peter P but I currently really have a thing for the guy who plays King Henry on the Tudors and Rupert Penry Jones off Spooks.
Meanmarie - I agree with you about the fennel - I love it! I usually roast it with butternut squash and it is delicious! I HATE spinach though!
Keiss - glad you got it sorted out at work
Kittyscarlett - I know what you mean about the REALLY old style thing - I often think I will do it and then give up after a couple of days because it is too much like hard work.
Frogga - sorry you have fallen off the wagon too- I'm the same, but I am ever hopeful of getting back on track soon!
Taplady - enjoy the time off work - Just noticed your impressive weight loss - have you done it on your own or with WW or SW?
Mrs M - hello - hope you are okay!
Hello to anyone I have fogotten or who has sneaked in while I've been typing.

I have some lamb braising in the oven at the moment - I will let it go cold and skim the fat before making it into scouse for later. Scouse is one thing that both DD's will eat with veg in it! I have yet to make your Corned Beef Hash Mrs M, but I am looking forward to it this weekend!

I have a HUGE pile of ironing to do today which I have so I will do it here in the dining room with the computer and jump back on here every so often to break the monotony!

Haven't had any breakfast (still trying the no-diet approach - ish) but am going to make a nice milky coffee in a minute and plan to have pasta with hm tomato and mushroom sauce for lunch with the stew for tea. I have got a really inviting granary loaf which I bought on the way back from the school run this morning calling me though.......

Hope you are all having a good day!

    Morning ladies!:T :T

Newlywed - I read in this mornings paper that eating a lot of meat turns men back to cavemen, last night's Food Doctors did a trial.... I just ignore mine when he goes into MCP mode. Hope you're feeling better today!

I spent most of last night asleep in the chair  felt a bit peckish when I woke up so had 2 yoghurts......the first one was soooo nice I went back for another!!:o

Today I've had toast and marmalade. I've brought a butty for lunch but it's cheese and I've got a headache lurking so I might have to buy something.....I should go to belly dancing but will see how I feel
Tea will be some sort of a treat from Asda, going to do a 'top-up' shop tonight after work.

Have a good day one and all :A :A

    1 x block of noodles
white pasta (I HATE WHITE PASTA. And no rice)
    6 veg stock cubes
    1/2 a lettuce
    3 onions
    4 potatoes (for mash tonight)
    6 sausages (for tonight)
    Lasagne sheets
A mediterrean spice mix for roast veg

    1/4 tub of cream cheese
    1 egg
    tiny cube of cheese
1 x Schezuan stir fry sauce satchet
    Stork
    Marg

2 bags of crisps (OH's lunches)
    6 penguins (OH's lunches)

    and in the freezer:
1 x batch of HM soup (my lunch)
    4 white rolls (OH)
    1 brown roll (me)
    frozen peas (lots)
    frozen veg (lots)

2 x battered bits of fish

    Bakery cupboard:
Yeast, self-raising flour, golden syrup, cornflour, white bread flour, wholemeal bread flour (no plain normal flour), muscavado sugar and normal sugar :(

If anyone has any inspiration for the above it'd be rather aprpeciated!! I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pop to sainsburys! Presume with some chicken, eggs and veg I can stretch a few more days! xx
