Hi All,
Got Frozen today and my face hurt ~ think I need a balachlava ( bet I spelt that wrong). Was cheesed off all the way home as I'd had a pretty cruddy day at work.
When I got home Mr Frog had got home early as the docks were closed due to the wind and had a cup of tea and lunch ready!:T How nice :T
Hope you are all ok, now going to walk the dogs and it's blowing a hooligan out there xSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hello all,
Of course I love you Frogga! But MrsMc is still wonderful, even if her energy and determination exhaust me!
Mrs MC....find tofu rather bland tbh, but had bought some and steamed it yesterday and then let it cool in olive oil with about a tsp each of chilli sauce and balsamic vinegar...was quite nice with mixed green salad, but not as good as the deep-fried one my DDIL1 makes,,,but then she's Japanese!
Today I have eaten:
B. 2 weetabix, tsp honey, milk, half pear, fresh apricot;
L. small cheese and ham toasted sandwich and coffee
D. will be stirfried chicken with lots of veg and couscous and fruit to follow.
Frogga, so proud of all your cycling...I've never been so fit or thin as I was when I was eighteen and had to cycle almost 30 miles a day to college for six weeks, due to a bus strike...not even a bicycle here these days, except for DGS2's!
Good luck to all

Evening all
just had a long hot soak/sleep... have a habbit of sleeping in the bath.... we nipped out this evening when hubby got in from work -to get some more of that beer he loves... it was so cheap the other day we thought it was a mistake 30cent for a 0.5lt glass bottle, well a crate of 20 came in even cheaper at just over 5 euross roughly £3.80 for 20 bottles:eek: ..so i got him to throw 4 crates in.. its cheaper than blooming pop
.. so we will be taking some of that back for xmas in the UK
... i got a steckruben...a swede..its huge.. but as im making corned beef hash n dumplings tomorrow it won't go to waste:p
Forgot to mention ..earlier when i got the goodies i have come across some choccies -in a bag -they look like mini cornflake cakes, but with dried cranberries and apple in  , and also some yoghurt butter cookies with lemon jam in - which i assume is lemoncurd mmmmmm thought they could go in mums hamper..they look particularly yummyand my mum has a weakness for lemoncurd.... may help her with 1 or 2 over xmas
only to save her form herself you understand
I was soooo good too today... i don't know if anyone else likes Serrano ham? well i was in the supermarket today and they have whole ones, complete with the lovely wooden stand and the carving knife for 60 euros... about £45 which sounds mad..but it weighed 7.5kilo and that stuff is so expensive... i was soo tempted...mind..lugging it back on foot soon put me off the idea :rotfl:
Well its weigh day in the morning ..for several others too.... fingers crossed for us all
Taplady...pleassssse don't tell me the last few lbs are the hardest..still i have a long way to go before i need be concerned about them :rotfl:
elaine - At least you didn't put onI can't remember if you are going to WW classes ..if so in one of the booklets they give out there is a cake called "autumn slice" i believe that is a sponge with half plums stuck in it.. my mum and everyone back home says its stunning i think it was 2.5points... might be worth giving it a go.. if you don't have the recipe, i will get it off mum in the morning and post it for everyone...
Madsmum.. if i take my glasses off i can't read the tiny writting.. so as far as im concerned that could have been anything
Frogga.... if you get a balaclava... make sure you put it on the right way
and im sorry to lower the tone...but "blowing a hooligan" means a whole diferent thing where i come from
Hels Bells :T on getting a new job.... what a great time of year for it too :j
well i will get off again for now..and see what else is happening..

Hi pigpen
You don't eat much do you? my sis and sil are the same - i can't believe how little some people get by on
If you were to look at the cals you ate today..i would think you still had too few (depending on the sausages)... so i doubt you have done any harm.. you just had less volume X higher cals instead of loads of food X less cals...
Ok thats not great if you were doing it day in day out.. but an occasional day like that won't do your overall target any harm..
So don't be so hard on yourself...:D
Hi there im back.... just been and had a poke about on a site that gives cals etc in various foods.... and doing a quick reckon up (just used the basic sausage etc)you still came in at under 1000cals ... and they recommend eating more than that don't they..... so you see you have done no harm-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Good evening everyone.
I'm impressed by the amount of walking, cycling, shopping and skydiving that is being done here for exercise. My walking has been poor this week, but I'm off to north ? Yorkshire this weekend for a walking holiday with my skinny and overly energetic pals. Pray that it doesn't rain on me...
Well, I went for the crisps I've been dreaming about all week and only ate 1/2 the (big) bag - but also had a nice bit of chocolate. Feel ok, not too guilt ridden, and ready to tackle the next week now I have had my indulgence. A new lipstick doesn't do it for me, and doesn't taste as good:D
Today's eats:
B - porridge, pear, OJ
L - ham salad, kiwi fruit, satsuma and 2 plums
D - mince and tatties, lots carrots and turnip, spring greens
Snacks - 1/2 bag Walkers Sensations and 6 bits of Caramel, mouthful (to taste)of sausage roll at work.
Have a working lunch tomorrow - I should be paid an extra allowance for the trauma I suffer in a working day faced with plates of food. It's so much easier when I'm in control of what I eat - but, I'm learning very slowly, that if I eat a few mouthfuls of everything nice I'm doing ok and not offending my host. Usually I hoover down everything I'm offered, including everyone else's choc-mints with coffee.:o
Will miss my visit here when I'm away this weekend, but I'll be thinking of you all and wishing us all good eating and lots of running around.0 -
Evening losers and tryers all ! You’re all doing very well, even the ones that may not think they are J
Hels_Bells grats on the job, that’s great news. Frogga, don’t you just love it when you make your way home all grumpy and then find someone has done something really kind for you when you get back takes the sting out of the day. Elaine, don’t worry too much about meal planning – sure , it helps if you can but I frequently have my plans sabotaged by work stuff so I find it best to plan for a range of options rather than specific things.
MrsM, I LOVE Serrano ham, how on earth you resisted buying that one I have no idea… the only thing that would have put me off was how on earth I was going to get through all that on my own… as even amongst my meat eating friends I don’t have anyone that is quite as much as a ham junkie as me to share it with ! Please do post the autumn slice recipe – Co-op have half price offer on plums atm and they are not really flavourful enough for eating au naturel so a good cake recipe would be great. I do have hbp which comes and goes but that’s in part to do with work and the fact I love salty food. I would rather tackle that dietwise as I really am not going to be taking betablockers. Also I have good skin generally but areas of one skin problem – again not weight related but cutting down on yeast/sweet stuff would help it apparently.
Pigpen, I sometimes have days like that… as MrsM already said ( hehe ) occasionally is ok but overall you actually need to be eating more, and a variety… its not just about calories but about overall nutrition, vitamins, minerals and fibre etc J I suppose if you want to think in terms of calories, think of them as currency – you need to spend them wisely to get the best value
I actually LIKE tofu :P you do have to either use the smoked kind if it’s the solid type or marinate it to give it flavour – I used to use soy, ginger, garlic, lemon and a bit of oil and then kebab it with veggies. Silken tofu is useful for making dips and salad dressings too.
Today went ok – had bad headache so couldnt face walking to the proper shops so didn’t get as much exercise as I wanted to. Was pleased that neither craved nor bought junk in shop. Lunch was ants on a log, tomatoes, a big apple and hm pineapple banana smoothie. I napped so didn’t snack in the afternoon, dinner was hm spag bol – cooked using no extra oil etc and using up the last of the tomato juice, it was very tasty ! Feel quite full so don’t think I’m going to snack before bed, if I do I have some grapes and dates to polish off.
Good night all J
