    Morning everyone...

I've failed Frogga... despite you inspiring me, I stayed in bed an extra half hour with OH and now don't have time to walk to the station... but will walk to Sainsburys (0.8 miles there, 1.6 return!) at lunch to get some shopping instead!

    Today:
B: Special K berries w/ semi skimmed, small glass of juice, green tea
L: HM tomato, red pepper and chili soup w/ brown roll, Ski low fat yoghurt
S: handful of japanese rice crackers, cashews and raisins
D: Chicken Jalfrezi (relatively HM, used some Patak's paste and lots of veg!!) and some microwaved poppadoms (2)
May make some sugar free jelly for desert, as can take it to work tomorrow if not hungry later.

Right, off to put a wash on and make the bed, have a good day you all x

afraid not!;) it was a fleecy hoodie type thing from Asda - nothing special but it had that magic size 12 label in it and it fitted:j :D

  • Morning folks :) gl with the bike ride Frogga, you'll soon warm up !

Contemplative this morning. Watched the 2 diet doctors programmes last night, they both really made me think. The one about the swimmer doing the experimental +8 bars of chocolate a day diet and getting sick on it and hating the chocolate has helped put me off it a bit thankfully and stop craving it, because I know how vile I feel when I've eaten too much of the stuff. And the second one too has helped as I really don't want to end up with the catalogue of severe health problems that poor lady had.

So I think I'm going to be quite resolute today. Need to make a trip to the proper shops to stock up on fruit, veg, milk etc later so will make a brisk walk of that. Breakfast will be grapes, banana, apple and ryvita with a bit of PB on and of course, tomato juice, LOL. No idea what lunch will be and I'm planning hm low fat spag bol for dinner, better get the mince out the freezer then !

Have a good day, all :)

Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help? :p

    Morning ladies!:T

Not a bad night last night, I made a mushroom frittata (with a little bit of cheese) and had it with SW chips then had a yoghurt but nothing else!!!!:D

Today I’ve had Muesli with soya milk for brekkie – not as filling as porridge, my tummy is rumbling already! I’ve forgotten my mid-morning banana so will have a cereal bar.
Lunch is a hummus and salad wrap and some grapes and I have some lowfat crisps for if the nibbles strike this afternoon.
Tea – Well, this might be a problem…. I’m meeting OH after work for a swim/sauna then we are going into town to see the Christmas lights switch on – children at heart really :D
So….we will have to get something on the way and knowing OH he will want pizza! I can’t think of anywhere on the way that I can get anything remotely healthy, it’s student city so it’s all burger bars and pizza places. Never mind, I’ll do my best.
Exercise will be belly dancing at lunchtime -YAY!!:T :T
Have a good day one and all!! :A

    WI tomorrow

Wrap up warm Frogga - don't forget the gloves!!

    hello all :D

Didnt have time to post this morning... had to go to dentist to see the dental hygenist.. only got there and it was my 90min appointment to have a root canal treatment  ....He had to drill through the back of my fixed bridge... he couldn't believe how chilled i was..id rather go to the dentist than the hirdressers :rotfl: i was only worried in case he broke my bridge..it cost £900 for 3 teeth:eek: ..wish i had known we were coming here i would have waited...i could have got it done here for about £150:mad: - got out of there with a numb face..hence the frozen nose... but still made hubby throw me out at the supermarket.... was determined to do some more walking :A ....so i walked around the supermarket for an hour got more"goodies" for the hampers and strode back.. took me 35 mins ..so thats another hour and a half done ..i would do-->:j .. but its far to much energy at the moment :rotfl:
It can't be my imagination that when we go anywhere in the car it seems flat..but where ever i go to walk seems to be a loooong uphill drag all the way back

Well lovely ladies lets catch up on the events i have missed...

First of all we have a huge :T for you Taplady... a size 12 indeed :D .. hope you got something with a big lable and plan on walking round with it hanging out for all to see ;)

Kittyscarlett -i have watched a few of those diet doctor programmes before... it used to amaze me.. as im soooo overweight but have no high blood pressure, don't get run down (although i will do if i visit ipswich whilst frogga is out:rotfl: ) have no skin problems, yeast infections etc... which all seem to be very common in the overweight. I know that i have always eaten loads of fruit n veggies etc..and very rarely eaten processed stuff- so i can only assume that is part of the reason.... heck when i have lost this wobble i will be running marathons n allsorts :rotfl:

Meanmarie... you are the first person apart from my brother and niece that i have heard of eating tofu....eughhhhh it is soooo strange.. i tried my brothers once at a chinese he had it marinated and deepfried n oh my word.. i can only liken it to deep fried bath sponge  ..so i think you more than deserved the cake n wine ;)

Alibow...Aerosmith :j .. there seem to be a lot of us ladies on here with very good taste in men hmm sorry i mean music :p ..

Katkin... i think having one day a week where you can have something yummy you really really want is a great way to go.... it doesn't seem so bad when you know that you have something to look forward to every week.. and hopefully you will enjoy every last crumb....

recovering spendaholic... when you accept that losing weight is a long term thing - a healthier way of eating and not a "D" its so liberating and all that stress and pressure disappears..... i have always been ON or OFF a diet... this is the first time i haven't been looking for short cuts and quick fixes...or giving myself a hard time for not losing enough:confused:
i used to go at it like a maniac..but the 1st thing i ate that "i shouldn't" and it was game over and i would turn into pac man....
now i have decided that i will eat smaller portions of proper HM food but if i really want something i will have it..and as a result i very rarely find myself wanting cr*p...
its now 3 months since we got here and in all that time i have still had only 1 curly wurly and 1 bag of mini jaffa cakes -right at the begining
No crisps, peanuts, takea aways... cake, biccies... its crazy.. because i have given myself permission to have them.. i don't flipping want them ..always was defiant:rotfl:

well folks i had better get off and a cuppa and give my mum a ring... speak to her every day :rotfl: ..
will catch up with you all later...sorry to anyone i have missed..hugs to all
and come on folks..keep up the good work....:D

  • Good afternoon all you lovely people, hope everyone is feeling well and positive today!

Yesterday wasn't too bad, had a mad sweet craving last night which never happens so i had a slice of the bakewell tart i made the other day and that managed to satisfy it.

    Todays food will be:

    Breakfast: Slimfast shake and oj.

Dinner: Prawns and an enormous salad with passion fruit for pudding.

Tea: Isn't great this evening but we have an enormous amount of eggs and potatoes to use up so we're having egg, chips and mushy peas. Pudding will be pineapple and mango with some homemade icecream if i want it.

Snacks will be rice cakes and fruit if/when needed.

Now, off on a tangent here but want to tell EVERYONE. I was offered and accepted a job this morning :j . Only 26 hours a week but SO glad to be getting back into the working world and the money will be wonderful after having gotten used to living on so little. Will be nice to also be able to pay my parents some housekeep as up until now they've refused to take any because my income has been so low and i do pretty much all of the housework (cleaning, cooking etc). I won't be able to do so much when back at work so hopefully they'll take the money without too much of an argument, lol.
