Right thats it. Im in.
I have to lose some weight I want to get down to 10.5st for Christmas. Which is around a stone to loose (varys on a day to day basis and then ive just eaten so im not going to weigh myself now) I can then slowly work down to 10st which i would like to stay at.
I eat fairly healthily but i want to make an extra effort to do DIM (do it myself) so i dont spend any extra money. I think however my problem is portion size. I am a hoover when it comes to food recently but am getting better as my hormones are balancing out (finally!) So im going to try and cut down on what im eating. Im going to try and use a side plate instead of a mains plate.
So my plan for tomorrow is:
B: Porridge with soya milk (and some sweetner which i have leftover which im using up!)
S: Apple
L: Cottage pie (ive just made with millions of veg, soya and a smidge of meat)
S: Satsuma
T: Chicken stew (ive just put in the slow cooker with 2 packets of birdseye roast chicken and gravy, leeks, carrots and parsnip. Yes i know its a packet thing but im not throwing it away when its in the freezer)
Arrrghhh my stupid cat has just bought me back a vole. Apart from it was alive and when i tried to release it from her mouth the sodding animal bit me and then escaped across the lounge floor under the tv stand. Its currently under there and the cat couldnt give a monkeys and is now wondering round the house. Stupid cat. she could have at least bought me back a dead one. Now what the h£ll am i going to do about it.
Must go and try and find it and get no more bites. Sodding ungrateful thing i was trying to rescue it from a certain death.0 -

and for dinner i had tatties n onions done in the oven and a slice off my fresh loaf  so my tummy is happy and i still havent broken into any of my hamper goodies or trick or treat stuff :j
Hi aimeelister and welcome to the mad house
Frogga... hope the tummy ache passes soon
Totally unrelated.... i have been putting some of my stuff into the baskets... need to get lots more goodies..plus more baskets/boxes.. so the lay out may well change..but here is a sneak preview of how they are looking do far - now some kind soul has explained how to load photos. They don't look too bad.. but still need tweaking
plus putting them in place means i won't think "hmm they are spare" munch munch-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Morning All,
Not much happening here today. De frosted the freezer on Friday as I had let it get completely empty, then did a huge shop yesterday and filled it up again! Actually, that's a little bit of a fib, I didn't buy LOADS of food. Just enough to get to the big Christmas shop:T going to do some baking today for pack lunches, and make some cornish pasties and shepherds pies for Mr Frog.
If any of you are struggling a bit today , I would say , Don't go mad, have an easy day and really try to get back on track tomorrow. Sunday is a hard day to start being good sometimes. Don't go mad, just enjoy what you eat, and start a fresh a the beggining of a nice clean page on the diary :T
Hope you are all ok, any one seen Recoveringspendaholic? are you there?;)
A special Hi to MRsM and Gran  xxx
Hi Frogga and everyone else - thanks for asking about me Frogga but I am ashamed to say that whilst I read the thread every day (and really enjoy reading all your posts and meal plans and stuff) but can't bring myself to post as I am having a bad time with bingeing and eating rubbish at the moment. I can't seem to get myself on the straight and narrow. It is the usual vicious cycle - I am desperately unhappy about my size and won't go out socially because I am so embarassed, so I sit in the house and get upset, then I comfort eat, then I am even more desperately unhappy. I get really anxious because I know that I HAVE to lose weight to get my heart problem fixed and you would think that that would be a wonderful incentive but instead it just acts as a sort of added pressure and makes me even more anxious and I eat! I am going to try and get back on the wagon tomorrow and stick with it until Christmas and see how much I can shift, but it will only be a drop in the ocean. The thing which started this last week's binges was the most stupid thing - I had been REALLY good the week up to last Monday and was feeling much more positive, and I was talking to a friend who asked how I was getting on - "Oh good" I said, " I have stuck to my diet rigidly for the last week" She looked at me and then said " Well you'll have to stick to it for a whole lot longer than that!" now it is really stupid but I got all upset and what did I do? I ate the contents of the fridge:wall: Anyway I am going to start again in the morning and will try and post every day, except that you are all doing so well and I don't want to depress you all...Jane

oooooooo RS , Hello my Friend xx
Reading your post is like listening to myself so many times, been there, done that and not only got the T shirt , but got a whole Bl**dy wardbobe full of em!
I could give you lots of possitive reasons why to get back on the wagon and try again , but to be honest if you're not in the mood, you're not in the mood. I have found that when people are trying to motivate me I sometimes back away as I just don't want to hear it!
To be honest I think It's a REALLY tough time of year to start being motivated enough to tackle our problem. There's only weeks to go before Christmas, it's cold and gloomy and hard to get possitive about things.
I'm just going to say stop trying to diet. There, I know some of you will scream at the PC , but I think there is too much pressure on you RS. Just try hard not to binge for now. You have permission to eat what you want , when you want it , if you really do want it., but try not to eat just for the sake of it and try not to binge. Just get through 1 hour at first , see if you can make it to lunchtime, and if you do , see if you can get to teatime with out binging.
I know you have the op in mind , but I think you have to put it out of your mind. It's all too much. There's enough pressure in life in general without all that extra stuff added on. Have the day off from your worries and upsets today RS xx
The new year is only a few weeks away and maybe you can think about getting motivated for then IF you are ready. Will be thinking of you today xxxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Morning all
hello recovering spendaholic  nice to see you back :j
Don't be ashamed and you won't depress us.... keep on posting... come on here and rattle your head off - especially when you feel like sticking your head in the fridge because of someones thoughtless comment...
I have a huge amount to shift too, ooooh about another 7.5st :shhh: left to go -and like you I have a medical incentive... but that hasn't made me deal with the problem as soon as i should have either...still we are doing something aout it now :A
You are heading in the right direction...eating healthier all week, ok you had a bit of a set back.... your friends unkind comment doesn't help... i wish that if folks can't say anything nice or constructive then they would button it.
pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again... try and focus on just getting to the end of the day, and then in the morning start all over again..
Come on you can and will do this :T
Well i will get off and get my weetabix mmmmm
Hope we all have a good day...

Morning everyone... hope you all had a good w/e! I had Friday off, so went to OH's parents on Thursday night. Minimised damage relatively well, considering we were cooked for all weekend!
Thurs night: veg pasta
Friday: 1 piece of white toast, rice and veg, dinner: went to Carvery, topped up on lots of veg, but shared ice-cream with OH. Tea. 3 x gin and diet tonics.
Saturday: 1 piece of white toast, granary bacon roll, Del Monte smoothie ice lolly (no fat, 90 cals), HM beef curry, rice, 1/2 naan and 1 poppadom. 2 x gin and diet tonics. Small beer with dinner.
Sunday: granary roll w/ marmite, lamb chop and veg roast, creme caramel (!) 4 x rice cakes w/ chili beans (as OH was eating nachos). Lemsip. Del Monte smoothie lolly.
We went on a 2/3 mile walk on Fri, and say a 4 mile walk yesterday which has made me feel a bit better... feel naughty for eating the white bread but literally was nothing else there.
Today:
B: Special K creamy berry bliss (!) w/ semi skimmed, green tea
L: mixed bean salad (1/2 tin mixed beans, spoon of dressing, lettuce, pepper and carrot), Ski low fat yoghurt, pineapple.
Snack: small bag of mixed raisins, cashews and Japanese Rice Crackers
Dinner: HM Aubergine melt (well, I have a tiny bit of mozarella, an aubergine and a courgette. Will see what I can do and plonk it in a granary roll!) OH is having beef burgers. Yum.
Desert: Pineapple
Am trying to loose 1.3 pounds this week to bring me to the 1 stone markx

Morning MrsM , all is fine on the pond thanks xx:j
I'm starting to work everyday this week. I used to do 16 hrs a week which I did Mon-Thur 9am (ish!) ~2.20pm. I have been given an extra 5 hrs and will now do 9 ~ 1 Mon ~ Fri. I'll really miss my days off but I really need the money and I think it will be more bearable if I do shorter days. I'll still have 2 1/2 hours before Tadpole 2 comes home from school so shoukld be enough time to get bits done. There has been a little bit of upset at work but I wont bore you all with it on here, I'll PM you MrsM if that's ok?;)
Do you know I've been re-reading what I wrote to RS and now I wish I hadn't. Who am I to give advice like that? I'm the LAST person any of you should listen to as I'm a complete screw up! Do yourself a favour RS and just listen to people like MrsM et al.:T
Anyway hopping off to work, have a good day all xxxx
Love the photo MrsM ~ you clever !!!!!! xxxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D
