I officially started my "healthy eating & exercise more" plan last night. It's been put off until OH and I went food shopping (been doing storecupboard challenge which doesn't always allow healthy food).

So we got back from shopping and had a MASSIVE salad and jacket potato. I figured something like that would make a good start to my plans and I absolutely devoured it!

I'm vaguely basing my plans around Weight Watchers but only in the sense that I'm using the recipe books I have from last time and basically cutting down on the AMOUNT of food I eat (portion sizes and constant snacking are my downfall at present).

Weigh-in is going to be weekly for me so off I go!!!

    Morning!

well done to MRSM and juliejim and all the other losers!:T :T :T
to those who gained listen to Frogga, one week doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, we've all done it at some time believe me!

Had a reasonably good day yesterday but I'm off to the health food shop today as I'm having tummy troubles, lots of foods are causing me grief - nothing major but annoying so I've looked at my Gillian Mckeith book and she recommends taking a digestive enzyme and some peppermint capsules so I'll see what I can get.I've also gone back onto probiotics because they helped me out last time I had this.Dont want to bother the Doc with it yet.The major culprit sems to be meat ATM.

    Meals planned for today are

    porridge

    banana

jacket spud and cottage cheese and pineapple with a bit of salad

    yoghurt

    cottage pie and veggies.

hope you all have a good day!
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hello - wow I'm really impressed with everyone's weight loss :)

I haven't done very well and pigged out on unhealthy food last night :(

So, now I've finished my run of working for a month without a day off I really want to get some OS cooking under my belt to help me get organised! Just spotted a recipe for a lovely lentil curry at the start of this thread

Now I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this again, but it would take me ages to go back throught the thread....some lovely people told me before about free calorie counting websites.. could I please have the addresses again? Sorry to bother you :o:o:o

Well done the losers! and to the rest of us who are struggling .....RELAX........we're taking the scenic route to our weightloss goal!!

I did my megashop last night, Grrrrrr!!!!! I hate my Asda now they've 'remodelled' it - I can't find anything! I was in there ages trying to get everything on my list, I only forgot sugar which is no great loss!
I got home at 7pm, and got it all away by half past - pretty good I thought :D so I had a bag of chips and a buttered muffin from the chippy :o BUT I only ate half the chips and I didn't have anything else all night!!

I weighed myself this morning and am still the same :j which proves to me that with all the extra walking I'm doing if I eat healthily instead of junk then I will lose it!

Today I've had porridge with sultanas and a bit of honey, I've just had a banana and have a granary muffin with a bit of cheese and a lot of beetroot (again) I've got fruit and a cereal bar for later on and will have sweet potato curry and rice for tea.....and a glass of wine ...it is Friday after all!
I'm going for a swim after work, everyone fights to get on the early train on a Friday night so I'd rather have a relaxing swim then go home later and be able to sit down!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a good day one and all!!:A
  • Well done all the losers!!!:j
And chin up to all those who are struggling!! (((((((()))))))

    Take care

Morning all- ooops afternoon already ;)

Busy day today. Well done to all you losers. To everyone else, don't give up the good work, don't beat yourself up for a small blip of the munchies - try again, you will get there :D

Trying out the slow cooker this weekend. Was going to do a gammon joint in it but now OH has offered to take us all out for pizza, his treat :t. Must be the guilt as we had planned to go out just the two of us as my treat last weekend (3 years since our first date). We haven't been out in the evening just the two of us since our wedding anniversary in the spring  He "had things to do" so we moved the day and "he wasn't fussed and couldn't be bothered" to go out for the evening. Which meant he ate cereal for tea ;)

So planning to resist pudding when we go out and debating what to cook in the slow cooker as a trial run - while I'm in and can keep an eye on it ;)
