See.. now I don't understand.. having read the 58 pages of the thread I hadn't read before.. WHY are you losing say 1/2-1stone and fitting in a smaller size??
Last year.. or the year before, I forget.. I'm so old time just blends into one long misery.. Anyway.. whenever it was.. I lost 2 stone yet still wore the same size clothes, the smaller size was just as small as it had been before I lost any weight at all.. and now I have reapplied the layers of lard I am still wearing the same size.. so I have been 10 stone and 12 stone and everything in between yet not dropped any clothing sizes which is extremely demoralising.. moneysaving mind because I never had to buy new clothes but pretty pointless because if my clothes couldn't tell obviously noone else could..
So.. remind me why I'm back here.. being miserable and de-motivated already.. hey, I lasted a few days!

hi there pigpen
I guess we all lose weight differently... the 1st place i used to notice weight loss was on my feet :eek: -i don't care if i have have bl**dy big feet :rotfl: -this time it is being kind and vanishing from my ample tum n bum... and im noticing a big difference in my clothes. Did you not feel any difference at all when you had lost 2st? Im puzzled... i mean i have heaps to lose so 2st2lb is a drop in the ocean, im not expecting loads of comments from folks noticing.... but my clothes tell me i have lost...
Please don't feel down and disheartened - it will catch up sooner or later.... and you will get to buy smaller clothes-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Nope.. there was absolutely no difference in the clothing, it was very strange. When my mother lost 2 stone (she went to WW) she dropped 2 or 3 dress sizes depending on brand.. granted she is bigger than me.. but even so!
I also REALLY struggle to lose even the smallest amount.. maybe this is just what I am meant to be.. maybe??LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pig pen i know exactly what your saying 13 yrs ago i got to size 10 and i really could tell the difference but these last few yrs i 'v lost a couple of stone and then gained it again but my clothes size more or less stayed the same and i also lose weight very slowlyi i have to lose about 21/2 st before i get a big difference in dress sizes its really frustrating as i have friends who only slightly weigh less then me and are a simalar height but are a few dress sizes lower then me and it used to really get me down until one day i went clothes shoppimg with them and it was such an eye opener ok they could get into a size 12/14 but they were literaly squeezing them selfs into the clothes and had rolls of fat bulging out everywhere whereas i'm really consious of my bulges and make sure they are well covered.but saying that even though my dress size doesnt alter much people do start to comment that iv lost weight quite quickly maybe the first half stone poeple start to notice.0

Good luck tomorrow frogga, don't forget to have a bath before weighing, you might be able to scrub and extra ounce or two off
Well done all the losers and the tryers ! Welcome liberty9515, hope you find the thread useful ! thats the problem with those " meal replacement " type diets, the weight does come off amazingly fast but rarely stays off for longif that had been me I would have been tempted to chuck away the sachets and completely start afresh, but I can understand the anxiety about not wasting the amount of money spent on them. Never mind, soon you will be making tasty inexpensive healthy soups and smoothies/shakes of your own and the sachets will be a distant memory !
MrsM, maybe try warning your family way ahead that whilst you have every intention of enjoying yourself fully at Christmas but you'll be doing it your way - and please not to be worried because you aren't eating huge pyramids of food ! this is it, even though I have gone down a dress size and comfortably so - I still have plenty of bulgy bits LOL - and it will stay that way forever, only they WILL go down in size and have done already - this may sounds weird but I keep passing my hand over the ol' spare tire to double check I'm not imagining things as really quite amazed that it has reduced at all !!
Mind you, if I keep on like I have this evening it wont , LOL. Have mostly done quite well today, apart from turning into a bit of a breadhead again.
Breakfast - toast and banana & tea.
Lunch - hm cheese & onion pastie, huge helping of watercress, cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn, hm fruit smoothie ( some frozen fruits plus banana and cranberry juice ) and some tinned peaches ( juice kind not syrup ! ) in sugar free jelly for afters ( a la MrsM) which were very nice indeed and I've got 3 more made up ready.
Late afternoon snack : option choc drink and 1 buttered crumpet
Now, dinner was meant to be hm watercress leek and potato soup, but I did my classic of fannying around doing nothing much in particular until I was too hungry to want to make myself something, so yes, lazy a*se here wander to the shop and buys sandwich crisps and pepsi max... sigh. O well at least I did have two large tomatoes and 3 huge sticks of celery with it !
On the plus side : had more energy than I would usually have on my midweek all day working day, didn't nap after work and was generally a lot more active than usual ( lots of toing and froing and up and down stairs )." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
Hi everybody,
I'm beginning to think that this thread should be called Marie's confessions, as that's all I seem to do!
To-day I have eaten:
Clementine, pear, 2 weetabix, sliced banana, spoon honey, milk, white coffee;
Risotto type thing that I found in cupboard, doz small frozen prawns;
HM shepherd's pie, small piece choc sponge, 2 glasses water;
Went to DID's for T orT for DGSs1&2 and ate....chicken breast on skewer, small bread roll, 1 large pork rib with lots of meat on, 3 sm roast pots, more chicken, 4 small choc bars.
Will not be weighing myself to-morrow I think!
Congrats to losers, good luck with weigh-in to morrow Frogga

Morning All,
Thanks for all the weightloss ideas ~ I went and gave blood as well so that will be another ounce!:rotfl:
Well, the scales say I now weigh 16st 9lb. I guess that's good , but I still weigh 16st 9lb!:eek: That's still 6 stone overweight!:mad:
As you can see I'm fed up, as I new I would be. Unless the scales had said 9 1/2 st it wouldn't have been good enough!
Have a good day all xxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

WOW well done ladies!!!!!! What fantastic news :-)
I hope you're not all going to become Charlie Bigspuds now??
Dragged myself kicking and screaming to the gym and had a good workout (for the Mcdonalds sin) going again tonight and Sunday. Sensible eating with 'normal' portions.
Have a good one.

Absolutely brilliant Frogga. I'm really pleased for you. Can't print my weight loss this month, it's pathetic! I'm really sticking at it for the Christmas mini challenge, so hopefully I'll do better at that!
Keep it up - what ever you're doing is working fantastically well. I'm so pleased for you hun.
Loads of love
