I resisted the crisps last night as well.. AND only had 2 drinks!

I'm off to the ball tonight so no doubt the portions will be sparrowesque or something completely inedible so I'll HAVE to have chips before I come home.. OR I could just have my dinner before I go out!!! .. I can't go from now until 8pm without food.. I'll fade away! Or just faint!

why oh why did i start this when i was pre-menstrual?

I sat in front of the tv last night and ate everything i could stuff into my big fat mouth. i ate all evening, and I felt bad, but not even full/bloated...I really think I have a serious problem!!!

I am visiting my parents this weekend, so no chance of low fat/small portions there, dad is a gourmet cook, and I can't resist his food!

Guess I will be trying properly from next week now...

    I am silly...

elaine, that wasn't a selfish post, its what we're here for ! you are trying and thats the main thing !

Clarabel, I'm having the same problem atm, you're not silly at all. Mostly I am staving it off but today I think I'm just going to say s*d it and give in for a bit. If your dad is a gourmet cook, hopefully he wouldn't be offended by you asking for his help in advance and telling him you are trying to eat differently and maybe he could come up with some great ideas in that direction ?

So, I've had a tiring, annoying and rubbish work morning which has run into part of my own time this afternoon, I'm feeling fed and grumpy as all get out on top of usual PMT. I feel up curling up in front of the telly watching one of those bumawful Channel 5 films with a plate of calorific unsustaining food not cooked by me, and then crawl into bed for a nap. And thats exactly what I'm going to do. And you know what, I'm not even going to feel bad about it, because this is one day out of several that I DON"T do this. Instead of every blinking day, day in day out, as the " old me " used to do :)

Just been shopping. Spent a little too much but the only things that weren't on my list were muller light (my treat) and a fruit malt loaf.

Bought eggs and SR flour for cake making though!! But big Sainsbury had virtually no bananas and what was there I didn't want to pay full price for as they looked manky. ;)

If they were whoopsied I'd have got them! The point was I didn't want to pay FULL price for bananas that already look manky. There weren't any reduced ;)

Got to go to Lidl for a few bits at the weekend so will look there instead.

  • No green hair this morning - attempts at an extended bout of 'me' time in the bathroom were thwarted when teenage daughter slid in before me. The entire family put together doesn't take as long in there as she usually does, so I gave up the idea. I've got a few jobs to do over the weekend that I've been procrastinating over, so I'll dye my hair as a reward when I've done them. I may hide teenage daughter's washbag first ;)

Today I had my first ever assignment as a Mystery Shopper. It went well enough, but was one of the many things keeping me awake until 4am this morning, resulting in a trip to the kitchen and a low-cal hot chocolate drink. At one time, this would probably have been accompanied by half a packet of biscuits, so there's some progress.

Today's grub has been two slices of cheese spread on toast and a banana. I did go down to the kitchen just now to snaffle a Jaffa Cake, but forgot why I was there(!) so I can't have wanted it that badly. Today's exercise has been... zilch. *Swiftly moving on...* :o

Tonight is my fortnightly 'permission to fall (slightly) off the wagon' evening, when we have family round for a big roast dinner, washed down with a few cans of beer or glasses of wine. This is just about the only time I drink these days, and I'm not about to go all 'calorie police' with myself over it.

Well done, losers, and to all those who've fallen off the wagon - forget it. Easier said than done, I know, but the best thing to do is start again where you are. The thought of what you 'can' do is almost always more motivating than the thought of what you think you 'should' have done. If I thought about all my 'shoulds' I'd be crying into a heavily diluted Slimfast right now, and then making up for it later by emptying the fridge down my throat :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

I have the same problem when I'm pre-menstrual - I crave rubbish and stuff my face!

I'm also going to my parents' for dinner on Sunday but we're having a bit of a Halloween party for the kids so it will probably be buffet-type thingy rather than the choice of about 4 different main courses when I go for my tea once a week! I think it's just going to be a case of everything in moderation and I'll see how I get on.
