I've taken to drinking tea in a pint mug with half a gallon of milk and 3 sugars (usually have 2 in a 'normal' mug!!) While STILL sitting on my bottom for twice as long while I drink it!!

Lol. I've always drunk my cuppa from a pint mug (they seem to be getting harder to find these days). My kids call it 'Mum's bucket' :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

  • As I've said before, I really can't eat only minutes after I've woken up so breakfast is just my first meal of the day, eaten according to work interrupts, and can be eaten any time between 07.30 - 1pm depending on what day it is and how the working day is going ! I do try and eat something light yet filling, rarely anything cooked although I do love my porridge ! I don't think there's a thing wrong with eating breakfast for supper or late snack - better a bowl of porridge/cereal or a round or two of toast rather than doing the Pacman act with the biscuit barrel/crisp stash etc. Wouldn't it be lovely if we could all be Stepford persons and stick to the ideals of nothing after 8pm blah de blah - unfortunately real life and real people aren't like that !! I would give some of the food experts the ol' Winston Salute, only *some* of what they say is sense - I just ignore the more fascistic ludicrous elements ;)

Hmmm maybe I should get off that soapbox now and chop it up to make a fire to toast a marshmallow or two by :D

Day is going well. Had rice cakes, some more of the everlasting spam :P and a banana for 11am brekker :P oh and ploished off the last remaining couple of spoonfuls of last nights potato spinach and onion mash which was delish ! Drinking lots of herbal tea and water, food plans for later involve a curried lentil and spinach soup and hm cheese and onion pastie from the freezer, and probably a baked potato ( the spud mountain is going down slowly too ) and salad. Again avoiding bread today, and determined not to buy any more cheese until next week ( have dairylea light and a small block of parmesan in the fridge and some frozen grated ) as am pleased at how I am not snacking on lumps of cheese day and night.

I'm only kidding really. I like new recipes and will be trying these for my next cake need (when I have eggs in the house of course). They are lower fat than my usual sponge cakes so they are good as next time I want cake, I will choose one of these options ;)

Recipes on here save me buying expensive recipe books too :D

Just I'm at work, broke, hungry and impatient and want them now ;) Payday tomorrow so no doubt I'll be baking and freezing slices at the weekend (or Monday when I'm in a cold flat, waiting for the heating to be fixed )

    Oh well

In that case.... i will carry on :rotfl:

I have stopped buying cook books/mags -for now ;)75 books and heaps of mags allready have the bookcase on the landing creaking:shhh: - mind you im so much happier in thre kitchen making things up as i go along:p ... definitely a "concoction" kinda girl .... hubby always prefers them anyway... you know the ones.. you stick your head in the fridge and look what you have that is about to go out of date... and start from there:rotfl:

I now have a huge vat of corned beef hash sat on the stove... will switch it back on later and throw in the dumplings:drool: ...
It really is a tasty, filling comfort dinner.... and it keeps in the fridge well - in fact its better left to stand... definite stick to the ribs winter fare:T

Last night I discovered some 'OS extras' I plucked my eyebrows just a litte thinner than normal (looks nice) and gave my teeth a little whitening with Bicarb of soda. Only tiny things but still steps towards being positive about yourself whilst waiting for the thinner you to reveal herself:D . Any more 'OS extras' we could be doing??

I totally agree about steps towards being positive before the thinner self arrives. I went to boots this morning and bought some hair dye( their bargain range), face cream(again bargain range) and conditioner(buy one get one free). My weight loss journey may take a while so in the meantime i will try to improve the rest of me.
