Morning!
well I had my weigh in last night and I had stopped the same:rolleyes: not suprising really as I've been stuck at home for 2 weeks and have been eating cake every day!:o went out for a meal last night, had lasagne and salad(not a huge portion) then had apple crumble and custard, only had water to drink so not too bad I think.
Today I'm starting the Christmas challenge in earnest:TI aim to cut out the cake or at least not have it every day and also I've not been drinking as much water lately so I'm going to try and up my consumption of that.
food plans for today are
2 x wheatgerm bread toast and marmalade(small loaf)
banana
am going out for lunch with Mum and sister so will most likely have a jacket spud.
veggie pizza and salad, handful of oven chips
yoghurt.
I hope you all do well today!;)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Thanks. Oh yeah, spiced honey version - please! May as well have a lower fat backup plan for those "I need cake" momentsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Good morning, I hope every-one is feeling well. Thanks to all that left cake recipes. I will endeavour to try one out. might even make one with my youngest three, as they are at home this week.(Being half term)
rachel021967, what works for me is being weighed once a week by some-one else. Also, i need to be able to choose. No deprivation diet works for me. smaller plates. I was able to leave some food on my plate this morning, which is something i find hard to do, as I am one of those who was brought up not to `waste food`.Also, I find this thread very supportive and motivating
Today, I have had breakfast which was, 1 egg, 1 tomato, mushrooms and beans, cooked in a little fry light, with two Ryvita`s. I used to hate Ryvita`s , my how they have changed. Lunch will be home made soup and two ryvita`s with extra low fat cheeese spread. Dont know whats for dinner yet.
One tip i would give is always have at least one frozen dinner in as its so easy to come home late and not be prepared, then stuff something naughty and unnutritional into your mouth!
Have a good day every-one, I hope to pop back later.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Morning Everyone :hello:
Warm welcomes for new people.
Thanks for the recipes MRSMc, I'll be giving them a whirl this weekend, won't do the kids any harm for lunches either when they go back to school/college next week.
stuck to yesterdays food plan with the exception of a tiny little piece of apple pie and low fat custard after dinner and then a slice of bread with some cheese and v low fat mayo:o at 2.30am..I just couldn't sleep which is really not like me at all, I sleep like a log, but I was REALLY hungry. BUT, I did get in from work at 6 and..
*make tea
*vacced whole house
*cleaned every room, bathroom, toilet, kids, including windows!
*changed evrey bedding
*4 loads of washing
*batch cooked 2 soups
phew..4 hours..I never stopped so I'm not beating myself up.
I needed to gain control of the house and I now feel ready to start the gym again (she says..again:rolleyes: )..You know how it is
Last night I discovered some 'OS extras' I plucked my eyebrows just a litte thinner than normal (looks nice) and gave my teeth a little whitening with Bicarb of soda. Only tiny things but still steps towards being positive about yourself whilst waiting for the thinner you to reveal herself:D . Any more 'OS extras' we could be doing??
Today will be
B:Museli
L:King prawn & tomato sandwich, low fat mayo, wholemeal bread, no butter.
D:I'm at MIL's but she very health concious, I'll just have a small portion too
Snax: forget to bring snax to work so hope brekkie and lunch can sustain me.
Wishing you all a great day:j

I snuck on the scales this morning and was a TINY bit lighter than last weigh in, but not much so will be good as gold today...
Breakfast: museli and a lemsip (woke up with poppy ears and a sore throat)
Snack: 5 x dried apricots and few Japanese Rice Crackers
Lunch: HM tomato / red pepper & chili soup, small wholemeal roll, Activia Fat Free yoghurt
Dinner: HM Spaghetti Bolognaise w/ wholemeal pasta
No other snacking, and just water / green tea and sugar free orange squash for me x0 -
I don't think I did too badly yesterday, the first day of 'taking this seriously' again. Lunch was Primula cheese spread on two slices of toast (the extra strong variety) because I don't like marg or butter, tea ('dinner' to the posh people
) was fish pie, cheese sauce and peas, supper/breakfast was a bowl of Asda Smart Price wheat and rice cereal with semi-skimmed milk (at the decidedly un-breakfasty time of ten past ten last night), with a Jaffa Cake as a snack somewhere in between it all.
It's amazing how 'liberated' I've felt about the whole food thing since posting that I wasn't going to try to eat breakfast at the conventional time any more. I've been able to ignore any amount of advice that doesn't suit me before, but the 'breakfast' thing has been said so often that it's become ingrained that I'm going to 'fail' if I can't get my gnashers around a plate of grub every morning. Having decided 'when' I'm going to eat, I thought I'd free myself up from having to think about food even further by deciding 'what' I'm going to eat too, and have menu-planned now for every main meal up until the New Year. It's by no means set in stone, but should stop me from doing stuff like burgers in buns with all the trimmings 'because there's nothing in', then following up with the packet of cheesecake mix that's in the cupboard because 'burgers in buns doesn't seem a lot to give everyone'. I always seem to do much better with a plan than without. I staggered back from Asda last night with enough food to see us all through to the next shopping trip without need for further supermarket temptation, and felt like I'd just finished an hour weight-training when I was done. I did manage to get a few bends and stretches in while the bath was running though, in the one room in the house that I'm *almost* guaranteed any peace or privacy
Having not weighed since I started slipping up a bit (a lot!) a fortnight or so ago, I thought I'd better do the demon deed this morning, expecting to be around 11st 7. I was surprised (and quite pleased) to find that I was still right where I was when I fell off the wagon (11st 1). Once I'd have been annoyed with myself, but where's the point? Target 9st, and getting there
I'm fairly confident now, although one potentially major obstacle looms. November 5th is the long-standing date I've made with myself to quit smoking - again (also under the guidance of the CD of Saint Paul of McKenna). This date was arrived at weeks ago as being the best for me for practical reasons, and I know if I don't keep it then it will be a long time before I set another one. They say the first four days are the worst though, so I may give myself permission to waver a bit just for them. If I don't post for a while after that time, it's not necessarily because I've failed, but because I've chewed through the keyboard

I ought to move more, really.
I've taken to drinking tea in a pint mug with half a gallon of milk and 3 sugars (usually have 2 in a 'normal' mug!!)
