Eight! You must have one of the busiest washing machines in Britain!

With each of my kids, I'd laugh in the face of all those 'Get your shape back after childbirth' leaflets I was given. I was back in size 10 clothes within two to three weeks of having all of them - constant running around after screeching babies or howling toddlers, no time to sit and eat a meal - I used to wonder why anyone would need those leaflets at all. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the release of a publication entitled 'Get your shape back after five years of pinching the kids' Farleys rusks, avoiding taking the buggy out in the rain and vegging out in front of Cartoon Network'. Sadly, no-one's written it yet :)

  • I'm over by almost that too, PigPen. Two and a half stone over. That's one heckofalotta Farleys Rusks :)

Yikes. I'm finally confessing. I hope it's as good for the waistline as they say it is for the soul. I'm going to *have* to take this seriously now :)

    Mornig all

Thanks for all the lovely thoughts and possitive tales :D ...

Pounds n pensive - you made me laugh..what a wonderful description :rotfl:
Pigpen.. 8 children :T .... what a lovely big family... bet you have a wonderful(if some what knackering) time in your house :D

Turbo gran...thats a lovely thought.. it strange but i always think of my dad as though he is here, quite often when stuck, i think "what would dad do/think?"..although this led to me walking out of a job some years ago:rotfl:
I think thats why i love my bird table too... i used to sit as a tot looking out at the birds with him,

Luckily i'm quite "matter of fact" about this kind of thing... so i don't see it as a "failure" on my part or hubbies - not that we have been given a reason its unexplained at the moment:confused: ... its just a medical thing like anything else.... and i have to say that as much as we want children im not gonna fall apart if we can't.. not everyone can its as simple as that...and at least I have lovely hubby... would rather have him and no little ones than the other way round:p so i'm pretty relaxed about it all... I guess that i know the only thing i can do to try and help is lose weight - i have always eaten loads of fruit/veg etc and very little processed stuff... but now im making sure my body gives us the best chance.... so that might be why its so easy to focus on getting healthy at the moment :D ... so thankyou one and all....

Ok back to the usual :D

Hubby has tootled off to play golf -at 6 this morning:eek: , and he will be gone all day as its a competition... so no cooking for me today.. unless you count nuking the dinner i put out last night :p
so im gonna blitz through the house..
    • clean the bathroom
    • vaccumm through
    • mop the floors
    • clean the windows inside n out
    • and go over the carpets with zoflora, hot water and a scrubbing brush
    • and then sit on my bum and xstitch:D , oh and try and dig out some recipes for on here too..
Keiss... hope you have a great evening out tonight...:D

Well thats a relatively short post for me ;) ...so i will get off and get my weetabix and then attack the house :p ....

    Have a good one everybody...

    Morning MrsM et al,

Just a very quick one, we are off to Dunwich Heath for the day with the Tadpoles and the Dogs. We have a really lovely 6 mile walk that we do and the wild horses there have just had a foal so we are going to see if we can find it. Also Chestnut picking from a massive tree in the middle of the heath. Smashing xx

Will be taking a picnic and flask of hot tea which I think we'll need!

Have a good day all xx

    morning!

a quickie as I'm off out soon.
breakfast was toast, not sure about lunch and tonight I'm off out for a meal, have preordered lasagne and salad so thats not too bad, just depends on whether I can resist the sweet trolley!:D

have a good day all - weigh in tonight for me just before my meal out!:D
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all... bRRRRR !

Well, I have let hope triumph over experience and soaked some oats in milk overnight in case I actually get time to make/eat porridge. Lunch will be spam on rice cakes - LOL ! with salad, I'm getting hm quorn casserole out of the freezer to have with mashed pots and veg tonight. Snacks will be fresh and dried fruit and also celery if I get the time to prepare it. ( I'm very fond of " ants on a log " and I have all the ingredients for it right now ;) )

I woke up at stupid o'clock this morning and wasn't able to get back to sleep until just before I was due to get up... tsk. So hopefully will get through the day the best I can. Annoyingly, after yesterday's studied avoidance of it I actually feel like doing housework this morning - funny how that housework can suddenly become very attractive as opposed to a day's grind on duty ! :D

  • Morning all! :D

:o Hangs head in embarrassment:o So.... I've not been here for a few days and in that time I've eaten... well mostly lots and lots of bread and butter, but definitely a lot more than I should be eating

Don't think there's been any real reason other than the general malaise I've been feeling all along, so I just need a swift kick up the bum and a hand back onto the wagon... any volunteers?

I'm really glad to read about how well everyone else is doing - well done everyone!:j :T :j
