    Just a quick one

Just listening to Michael Winner on parky.... never thought i would agree with anything he ever said-he drives me nuts.. but he has a book out called "the fat pig diet"... and he says he still eats anything and everything.. just smaller portions.... he could have been eaves dropping on here me thinks :p

  • :xmastree::santa2::xmassign::rudolf::xmastree:This is my Christmas card to you MRSMCAWBER as I know we have to post early for overseas.
Evening Oh mighty Frogga and all in your pond, and hello to all you losers and strugglers out there .
Well I weighed myself this morning,(took my earings out first)every little helps as the old man said when he weed inthe sea.
I have lost 2 pounds and was quite happy with that as I am trying not to be too severe or I know I will soon fall off the wagon .
I had to laugh about comments on packing for a 15yr old,I have the worlds worst in my hubby, one weekend I made the mistake of trusting him to sort his own things out as he had finished work at mid-day and was picking me up from my office for us to go on our journey,I had left my bag ready for him to put in the boot with his things.
Off we went and after a pit stop on the motorway I went to put my coat in the boot but could only see one bag, mine, asked him where his things were and he said "oh I'm sorted"and pulled a pair of socks out of one pocket and a toothbrush out of the other. He looked at me in amazement when I went nuts,We were going away for the weekend which included going to a wedding!!! needless to say we had to do quite a bit of borrowing.
My sister-in-law thinks I pamper him by doing his packing but I find it the much easier option,

    8lbs off ....68 to go.

    Thanks for the christmas card..

i love xmas time again now.... loved it as a kid...my birthday is the 22nd december, but i lost my dad on my 16th birthday - so for quite a few years xmas was sort of glossed over.. but since marrying lovely hubby 5 years ago, he has talked some sense into me that dad wouldn't want me ignoring my birthday and xmas - so now we celebrate it for him too..he was a bigger kid than all of us!!! so thankyou for my "card" :D

congratulations on the loss :j .. you are right not to be too drastic with cutting back your eating... i used to do that one.... go at it like a looney and then crash and burn in spectacular fashion :p

I generally pack for hubby - even in a morning when he comes to say bye before leaving for work....the last thing i say is "have you got your lunch?" -"yes, yes i have it"and you would be amazed how many times i have found it in the kitchen when i came down  .... Still in the scheme of things i think thats the only area that he drives me insane in..so i should count my blessings really...

Well I'm having a restless night and thought I'd have a nosy on this thread to see how you're all doing. It looks like a really supportive thread and you are all doing soooo well. :T

However i did notice this post of Black Saturn's....
Weighed myself at the weekend and found I have lost 1 and a half stone in 2 weeks!!!! I was really good at the weekend. Went to a cafe with the inlaws and they all had chips etc etc and I had tinned tomatos on toast. I'm keeping the diet a secret at the moment as I don't want everyone to laugh if I fail. But Paul McKenna really does seem to be working his magic on me.

I must say I'm shocked. That's some amount to lose so quickly BS and it can't be healthy or sustainable surely. Please be careful as losing weight is not worth making yourself ill. (I know as I lost a lot of weight very quickly once though stress and it took a serious toll on my body)
You have many people's admiration for your menu plans and I didn't realise you were a snacker on top of your 3 meals but cutting them out and eating your home cooked food should lead to a much steadier weight loss. ;)
I also can't believe you're managing to keep a 21lb weight loss a secret. I'd be raging if nobody noticed I was slimming down. :D

Sorry folks. Didn't mean to lecture. :o I will follow some of the tips I have read on the last few pages of the thread as I'd like to shift half a stone (from my bottom) before Christmas. ;)

    Morning all,

Hello all the newbys , Well Done all the loosers, keep your chin up anyone who's struggling.

Had a lovely day yesterday with the Tadpoles. We went to the local "cinema". We close all the curtains, turn off all the lights, make some popcron and put a good vid on. WE LOVE IT!;)

My Odd meals aren't going to be very odd exactly , just very similar! ~ I made a batch of veggie chilli/caserole/hot pot type thing and it's got to last until pay day! So I'll be eating it everyday until Friday next week!!:rotfl: Do you think I'll get bored of it?

Have a good day everyone ~ Hi MrsM and Gran xxxx

OoooH! We used to do the cinema thing too! Only, as there was just the two of us (daughter and me), we lined all the teddies up along the sofas as well, to give it a more 'busy' feeling.

Haven't been on for a while, sorry. The food side of things hasn't been going great being honest with you. I'm eating smaller portions, but all I'm managing to do is keep my weight steady. Which would have been wonderful just over a year ago when I lost 3 and a half stone! But since putting two stone of it back on again, staying this same weight isn't thrilling really! Oh well, it looks like it's back on the boil in the bag fish...mmmmmm.

You're all doing so well, it's been great to catch up and read through how everyone's doing. I wish you all lived in my street, and we could have a natter real life too!

I have had my weetabix... just waiting for hubby to get back from his duty... hoping to venture out for some fresh air..... guess that might be a trip to the golf course... hubby can play whilst i tootle along.... anything to burn some fat ;) ...

Its Hm sausages casseroled, yorkies and veg for dinner tonight.... day 1 of the "use it up" campaign.. have now drawn up 6 weeks of menus.. will need to get a bit more milk and possibly some veg toward the end..but not for a few weeks yet ;) .. and we will still be eating just as we have been doing for the last few weeks :T

    morning all!

I once lost 2 stone in 2 weeks due to a severe illness(pneumonia and diahorrea (sp?)and I looked awful, also not long afterwards all my hair fell out due to the stress on my body:eek: it all grew back eventually but I wouldn't recommend such extreme weight loss to anybody so take care of yourself Black_saturn x

Am off out for coffee later - will probably have cake as well at the WI but will make sure I eat healthily for the rest of the day.

    porridge

    cake:D

not sure about lunch - possible a BLT on small brown bread.

gammon, cauliflower cheese and other veggies(will try not to have spuds if poss)

    yoghurt.

I will be happy to stay the same this week I think, havent had as much exercise due to being off work for the last 2 weeks, am walking into town later so thats a start! weigh day tomorrow for me:eek:

have a good day all, if you dont try not to be too hard on yourselves!;)
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all,

Well day 1 of being on this went pretty well - mostly cos I knew I'd be posting this morning. Managed no snacking during the day and only a tiny bit in the evening. Dh is away in China this week from Sat to Thurs evening and I find it hard when he's away. But I did some knitting and wandered over to the Comps board once the kids were in bed.

I also did an hour's gardening yesterday - raking leaves and mowing the lawn - so that has to count as exercise:D I certainly had a twingy back afterwards. Tonight is Beavers which I help run so that's 2 hours of snack time taken care of:rolleyes: .

Breakfast: HM wholemeal roll and an egg
Lunch: L/o cauliflower cheese and a tiny bit of shepherd's pie from last night with a dollop of HM coleslaw
Dinner: Pasta bake (can be done on timer in oven during Beavers), tomatoes, coleslaw

I'm finding this thread is really helping - so thanks very much:beer: . Have a good day.

I was hungry yesterday, all day. It could have been the migraine medication I take as I've noticed it before. I managed to ignore it until later - scoffed all the supplies I'd brought with me before I get home, had my tea and a youghurt.................then at 7.30 I gave in  to bread and butter and biscuits :o:o
ANyway, today is another day, I've had porridge with sultanas and a bit of honey for brekkie, just had a banana.
Lunch is last nights left over aubergine and chickpes stew with a bread roll and I have a cereal bar and some lowfat crisps for 'emergencies'
Tea is sweet potato stew with spicy couscous and I shall go to the gym at lunchtime and possibly a swim after work. :j
    See you later ladies :A
