As long as you've made sure that this particular solicitor is an expert in divorce/separation xxx
They say they do 'family and relationships' which includes separation, yes.

Some solicitors offer free introductory sessions 1/2 hour or so. It's not long enough to get proper answers but it is enough to give you a feel for the person and how they might work for you. Might be worth looking into those to decide who to go with.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Yes, I got the 2nd response and they offer the 1/2 hr service and I'm booked in for Tuesday. So hopefully I'll get a better idea of how things stand legally and who to go with.

Well I got 2 job offers today.
The first one isn't a viable option at all unfortunately. A caring job using my own car. The mileage allowance is a pittance. 10p per mile! With my car that wouldn't work. ETA: I went for it as they mentioned a company car you could have access to. Sadly it didn't quite work out like that.

The 2nd one is part time, evenings, but it's something and I'd enjoy it, local too so not a lot of petrol will be used. It's a start.
I have 2 interviews tomorrow so I shall see what they throw up. They both look really good, based at care homes so no driving around. Local too.

That's encouraging news and I hope has boosted your confidence knowing that you do have skills which are in demand. Hopefully tomorrow's interviews may give you some more options. Good luck!

Superb. It is just after about a week or two since it all came to a head. If I were you I would take most suitable of the jobs that today/tmz will bring ASAP and consider this side of life dealt with fir the time being. Would give my attention to sorting financial settlement and looking after myself and my psychological well being. Ones financial side and your head are clearer you could think of another job.
    Good luck.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

Yay, well done Zippy. :j It's not easy job-hunting Dec/Jan, I know twice in the last 4 years I lost my job on Dec 31st.:(

The first job you were offered, doesn't surprise me. I've heard stories like that before.

2nd one would interest me in your circs. It would give you the day-time to attend appointments or other interviews for better jobs.

Good luck with the next interviews.

Well done, zippy. I agree that the evening job will give you the day to look for better, as well as attending to various issues which may arise now.

Thanks and yes! It's nice to know that whatever happens today I do have a job to say yes to. Not exactly what I want or full time but it's a start and the guy doing the interview seemed very nice. As it's in the evening I can always look for something during the day as well.

True. I'm preparing for todays ones now and getting quite nervous. Yesterday I was OK so not sure what's changed!
I go back to the Dr's next week after the blood results come in so we'll see what happens there. Tues is the solicitor. Getting there.
My head is still swimming though. Be nice over Xmas to actually just take time to rest my brain for a while!
