    Happy Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a lovey time over the next few days.

    My plan today is to clean the house, walk the dog, run (too stormy to cycle), go to Christingle and then eat and drink. I have one present to wrap and then they can go under the tree.

    My bosses called yesterday (I work from home) with two lovely bottles of red wine and a big box of chocs. Always welcome people with open arms if they are bringing me red wine:D.

    Morning everyone!

    Not sure where the last 2 days went... but thankfully stayed on track! There was so much food at work if I was a snake I wouldn't need to eat for another 6 months haha! Thanks Dolly and Bobarella for your kind words too!

    Thursday = NSD number 15
    Friday = NSD number 16

    Just a word on NSDs - I'm with Dolly and Apple... they aren't mandatory - just something to help you have some structure and help you to think about your spending... I went over this month - but having NSDs helps me with 'damage limitation'. Don't leave us Icc86... You've done really well.

    Well impressed with the debt clearance this month... People have done amazingly well. Fmess - awesome job on dissolving your old debt... and the loan you are getting is an investment into your property... if ever you come to sell it will certainly help market it. Calling - that's a great chunk off your debt too. Doing a stellar job!!!

    Quiet day planned here, but off for a few days which will be lovely! See you all tomorrow x

    Hi everyone one more sleep:T

    Did get off my backside and do a food shop yesterday spent 44 pounds in sainsbobs, including cute outfit for dgd in sale. Had 40 of gift cards thanks to boring surveys but hey ho only £4 spent.

    Today going to head out for a walk, wrap few presents and call in at friends just check she is coping with family member being in hospital.

    Supposed to go for drinks later at local expensive pub, may try and wriggle out of it. Got horrid metallic taste in my mouth and don't feel like drinking or spending money. Bought myself some little leather boots in NL sale yesterday half price, have them in black for work and comfy so £20 for brown ones my little treat.

    Dd in Sydney feeling very homesick no sympathy I would swop lovely beach, gorgeous boyfriend. She's home in June.

    MOTHERNERD thanks for your Christmas message hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas.

  • Morning all :hello:
    Congratulations Fmess on getting rid of the debt. What a brilliant present for Christmas.
    And mothernerd - thanks for your post which I found inspirational...
    I'm definitely getting a nsd today because I'm not planning leaving the house. I've woken up with a stinking cold so my only plans are to present wrap while dh takes the kids out later and nap lots. I'm so pleased I didn't leave everything until the last minute...
    If I don't get back on here today then I want to say Merry Christmas to all of you, and thanks for always being here when I need encouragement and like-minded people.

    Mothernerd. What a lovey Christmas message.

    I'm on my own this year by choice. First time.
    Might see a neighbour for a cuppa and a mince pie. Nice piece of meat and lots of veg for dinner. And cake for later.

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Mothernerd thank you for your beautiful words. You certainly should not feel an ounce of guilt for not doing a big christmas this year. You always sound like such a great Mum and your boys are very lucky.

  • Mothernerd - What a lovely post. I can only agree with everything that you've written.

    Having a quiet day here today. Little ones have been to visit bringing us presents. Smallest one hasn't quite got the hang of it. She wanted to take the one she had brought back home. They are so excited. Can't wait to see them tomorrow after Santa's been. Of course he's left a few little things with us since they've been so good this year.

    We're having a radical Christmas Eve meal of Italian meats, olives, sun dried tomatoes etc with crusty bread plus something fizzy just to keep it simple.

    Hope you all have a lovely evening and, for those of you who don't manage to sign in tomorrow, have a lovely peaceful and stress free Christmas Day.
    Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Evening everyone...

    Second check in for the day... Thought I was going to go out earlier - but ended up staying in... Pay Day has arrived early... Budget all done... going to try and make it through to 01st Jan and start as I mean to go on. Had some cash as a present already - so that is my 'free' spend if I want it (though i'll still class it as a spend day).

    Today = NSD number 17

    I didn't say earlier - thank you Mothernerd for your post. Was very thoughtful and an inspiration. Christmas can me so much to different people - but usually always an emotional time. Have a good one too.

    Night all... See you tomorrow x
