  • Sorry to hear the sad news Wishus - what a terrible shock.
Well, I'm up and about for day 1 'proper' of the hols and I have a list as long as my arm of things to do. Just enjoying a cuppa in front of the telly before I make a start, and I really do need to make a start.
Should be a low spend day today because I have to post the Christmas things that need to be posted but other than that we don't need anything...

Wishus - sorry to hear your sad news x

Spendy day on food (Tesc0 and Ald1) yesterday. Really should only need ham, milk, fruit and some veggies before next weekend now - will look to get them on Weds and then I can avoid the shops! :D

I haven't spent today - nor will I - but OH went to buy (individual) cards - at least he had a MOV, I suppose!

  • NSD today. Only 2nd this month:o

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • Low spend as suspected - although it should not be as difficult as it was to get a book of stamps...
I've had a really productive day today so I'm quite pleased with myself. Lots of annoying jobs done and out of the way. Just the dailies to stay on top of for the rest of the week and the present wrapping to finish if I can ever motivate myself for it. I don't mind once I get going - it's the getting going.

    Hi everyone

Had a spendy day today, all within budget. Doing my usual dgd sitting tomorrow so I will call in ALD@ for their cheap veggies ready for the surprise guests who arrive Friday. Will have to think of some cheap meals to feed them that they will eat!! As they eat meat and I don't I'm going to ask them to buy their own meat otherwise it's going to cost me my whole months budget for next month!!

Anyway hope everyone is coping alright and this time next week it will all be over.

    Hugs wishus.

Another NSD. Still sleepy but quite a bit done including scrubbing the bath and putting away all mum's paperwork. I did her tax return but included my contact details left the paperwork out in case they phoned up. Her file box had broken but have rehoused it,

Pleased with the progress on my latest piece - a large 'thank you' for the place that provides my counselling and the craft sessions. Saturday seemed to be nothing but counting, individual letters and spaces and working out the placement then working out which parts of the design could be adjusted around the words. Have now done all but two letters so the rest should be easy.

Today I am grateful for the warm flannel on my face this morning, for making order out of the chaos and making something from 'nothing'.

Not a NSD here had to buy some chocs as a gift for a relative, and also made my charity donation to the salvation army. The rest of the week should hopefully be NSD's though (weekdays anyway).

No SFD here needed icing sugar, and a new mixing bowl - total spend 2.27. However off to see a choir tonight so may have a few cheeky drinks.

Paid 62 pounds off my debt today will stop me shopping ;-)

Wishus - lots of hugs of their way.

Grateful for a lovely orchid my neighbour gave me yesterday cheered my up big time, for looking after her cats lately.

Donating all my bunny stuff to lady lives down a lane by me. She is forever collecting critters, last bunny that escaped on our estate she had. Will pop them over to her after work.
Might hang on to my dog brushes just in case.

  • Just had two lovely workmen from the council fix our leak. I am amazed at how quickly and efficiently this was sorted out. Well done South Lanarkshire. I hope all staff involved have a marvellous Christmas. Apparently the leak was in the bathroom and not the roof as we were told last time. Will take a while to dry out and sort out the plastering etc but not nearly as bad as I thought. Really lovely considerate people.

Still having spendy days but it's for essentials that we need for Christmas (food for the three of us etc) so that's ok.

Looking forward to a quiet and peaceful Christmas after a particularly difficult year. My birthday resolution is to be calm and not get stressed. Life's too short.

    Have a good evening everyone.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Hi everyone

Just another quick one from me.
Glad your leak has been fixed, really efficient very impressed!!

Another small spend day but not too bad. Necessities only no fripperies!! It'll be another small spend day tomorrow, I have to collect a Xmas present and birthday present from Motherc@'re after doing my usual child care and then on Thursday it will be moving things around in the bedrooms to fit everybody in. I'm moving out of my bedroom so need to sort my clothes out to take with me.
