Have finally achieved another NSD - went out and posted a fleabay parcel but postage was paid for by buyer (and I have credit on my parcel2g0 account anyway), delivered local cards and posted last few via RM (with free stamps from RM surveys) and dropped a small box of stuff at CS. Success :D

Fmess - tis nearly time for World's Strongest Man. Today I found back-to-back episodes from 2008 with Marius P himself winning his 5th title. Awesome stuff.

Bob - I felt quite sad about it being DS's last carol concert at primary school, I always feel emotional when very young children sing and when they sing Away in a Manger I can barely keep the tears back - it is a pain being an emotional person. They stay at primary such a long time now and with DD being just 2 years older I have been going to that school for so many years, you know all the faces and lots of names and then at secondary school you know pretty much no-one.

DD won her race in the swimming gala, she did no lessons at all in the end so she thought that was a good day.

Me and DH are going cycling this morning then we are going to spend out nectar points on Christmas food. I also need to buy multivitamins so will nip into town too.

Sorry not to reply. I cried when DS left infants in the summer. Will he be able to walk home from school? I think they start around 12. I was on the bus the other night after school, we ended up sat next to a sleeping boy who was much older than my DS and in a senior school uniform but bless him still had mittens in his coat on a string :) I felt very responsible as I didn't know if he knew where he was and how far from home he was. So as we got off I told the driver, who couldn't have cared a jot....I know where the bus ends and he'd have had to turn around and come back. Point being even the older ones need a hand!

Sorry haven't been posting recently. I went away for 5 days to spend some time with my family before Christmas so decided to limit screen time while I was away. Managed 3 NSDs while I was away so that takes me up to 8 for the month.

Spent yesterday on bread, sandwich stuff, Christmas veg and food bank (bought biscuits, I usually use tins from the cupboard). Will spend again tomorrow on salad and do any other errands I have to and then will go into serious hibernation (can the world just go away and leave me in peace). It will include sewing and reading (maybe even some sewing for me).

I have crafts today. I am a bit disappointed as yesterday was a sluggish (too tired to do much, not tired enough to sleep properly) sleepy day again and didn't do as much as I wanted - I have to keep reminding myself that I haven't told other people what I have planned so no-one is expecting anything. I woke early (went to bed at 10pm) so have had a bath, washed my hair, morning pills and something to eat. Bag is packed with books, charity donation and food bank donation. Need to sort out what I am taking to crafts. Renewed library books on-line yesterday and will get another nine today (they are closing on Friday and not open again until Tuesday).

I am out tomorrow then nothing until next Thursday. Tidying is ongoing, will be brutal with leaflets, I have too many 'bits' hanging around. Floor space is appearing and less danger of stuff mountain burying me.

Today I am grateful for clarity of thought, for having food in the house and relaxing with sewing.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

No further NSD's to report, still stuck on 8 grrr. Yesterday a friend unexpectedly popped over to work on her return from 3 months travelling. So we went to lunch, £3.45 spent which I hadn't planned for. I hope to get some NSD's this week eventually!

Bob - no DS won't be able to walk to school next year, he is going to the same grammar school as his sister which is a 10 mile round trip. DD has been getting the bus since September and I have to drive her to a bus stop in the morning and pick her up from a different one in the afternoon, if I didn't it would be 4 buses and over an hour each way. My plan for September is to drive them both there and pick up as otherwise I will have to drive to get them from bus stops and pay over £75 for bus passes for the month:eek:.

Took DS for his hair cutting yesterday so £8 spent there and a 2 hour wait in the barbers. I also called into town and bought a faux leather biker jacket in a CS that I had tried on the day before so a further £7.99, then I called into Tesco for a box of my favourite chocolates for Christmas on offer at £5.

Today me and the kids are going out for the day, we are catching a train to our favourite little town, they have a second hand market on today, quite a few good CS's and lots of lovely independent shops. We are also having fish and chips for lunch (we share one fish and two portions of chips), I am taking cold drinks and a flask of hot chocolate though to keep costs down.
