  • Morning,

It was a low spend day for me yesterday as I played football so it cost me £3.50. Today should be a NSD though. Correction: today will be a NSD!
  • Swimming _ Hope the wee one feels better soon. Yesterday would have a NSD but as the Post Office was empty when I passed I bought the stamps that are needed to post the Christmas cards when I get home on Saturday. Might be spend free today but it's market day here and I do love a market.

nannygladys - what a pain about the car but at least no one was hurt.

swimming - hope your little one is on the mend soon.

Fmess - yay to getting the building work finished.

Well just 10 days to go till the big day. Hope everyone is organised and can start racking up the spend free days now.

I am going to Tesco tonight but will only be using vouchers to get food and drinks for Christmas, we've saved them and the nectar points specifically for that purpose.

Have cycled this morning, will walk the dog then have a quick lunch and then it's work all afternoon.

Happy news my 11 yr old car passed its MOT at first attempt. Will wash it to celebrate later. So spendy day for the test fee. 27 pounds.

Bought some food yesterday, so going to follow in Welsh Kitty's footsteps and stretch the chicken out for days.

Swimming of debt - hope little one recovers soon.

Mistara - hope you have settled in your new home - exciting days.

    Hello,

just popping in to say that I bow out for December. Inbetween life, work and being messed about by jury duty I don't manage to make a sensible contribution here. I'm trying to keep an eye on my finances and will join again in January, although probably from week two as we'll be on holiday till then.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy New Year.

    See you next year.

Great news re the MOT, Calling :)

Another spend day here at Sainz - bought DD another duvet for uni - she finds her one there too cold, so now she can layer them all up! Bought some food bits, stocked up on guinea pig food and used a triple nectar points voucher and a £9 off spend voucher, so that went some way to minimising spends (also used a gift card for the remaining balance which we bought at 5% discount).

Finished work today until 3rd or 4th of Jan - yeay! Am full of a cold this week so just flopping around now. House is not yet Christmas-fied - will be doing that this weekend :)

  • Hi everyone

Been a sfd today but will have to go to the last sfd to count them up.

Today has been a big hassle but at least I have a hire car and my car has gone to a garage on the back if a low loader!!! I may not get it back until after Xmas it depends on how quick it all happens. But in the big scheme of things it's all very minor.

Just before tea time my friends turned up for a pressie swap, and it was so nice to see them both, and I'm wearing my Xmas jumper!!!! It's creeping up quickly now.

Hope everyone is fine and dandy

  • Evening everyone!

Thriftylass - Hugs - you enjoy Christmas and drop in if - your contributions are always useful and welcome! But yes - do whatever you need to do to stay sane this month!

Had a crappy day and will be so glad when weekend arrives! I keep telling myself - I'm at the top of the rollercoaster, and from here on in we are hurtling towards the end of Dec and payday lol. I've got to focus on feelings of gratitude and not scarcity... focus on everything I have - and that life really is abundant!!!

    Today = NSD number 11
