Speeding on motorway

Hi. Yesterday about 9am i was pulled over for doing 97 on a motorway with limit of 70.

I know it was silly. I was in a rush and roads were clear. Only a few other cars every now and then. I overtook a car doing around 80-85 then didnt drop my speed.

I got a slip from the police officer with the code sv77011.

Nothing was said at what would happen. Any ideas?

I have had license for under 2 years and its clean. I never speed always well within the limit.

Wait for the court letter thats coming.

    I never speed either ;)

I forgot to add go over to Pepipoo.com and state all the facts.
  • Licence under two years? Might be looking at losing that if you have a bad day in court.
  • Looking at 4-6 points or a ban of 7-28 days.

I'd be amazed if the officer didn't tell you you'd be reported for possible prosecution. And that's exactly what will happen. You will get a summons to court, sometime in the next 6-7 months.

    Clearly not
  • The chances are you are losing your licence as under two years

An odd pair of statements. If the second were true, why the need to overtake a car already doing well over the limit itself?

I'm afraid you could come out of this quite badly. All you can really do is wait for the inevitable.

Don't drive to court. There is a possibility you might not be allowed to drive home after.

Even though motorways were designed for 100mph the current police state doesn't allow it and you will lose your licence and have to retake the extended test. Sorry.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.
