    OP - if you ever come back - you're best bet is, as most have said, fess up - I did see an episode of Motorway Cops (or something similar), where the police stopped a young lad who had just got his new car and admitted he was giving it a speed test on a quiet motorway and got a bit carried away - the cop gave him the benefit of the doubt. When you get to court, saying anything like - I never speed, I was in a rush, the roads were clear - isn't going to help your case. The first is blatantly untrue, the second and third would leave them thinking that you are just as likely to repeat the offense if they let you keep your license.
