poohbear I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. It's understandable that you haven't lost much weight at the minute, but don't worry, you'll get back on track.

Was the medication your doctor wanted to put you on called xenical? or orlistat? this link will take you to the website which explains how it works.

I was prescribed it years ago but found some of the side effects unbearable . The diahorrea was livable but the others foul smelling wind and an orangey discharge from the rear Were horrendous. I wore black underwear for ages!

It can be useful to give you a head start, or if your doctor really thinks you'll benefit from it. but to be honest, I did better with a sensible diet and an exercise program.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

victory it is a useful tool for people with high cholesterol as well as being overweight, especially if you have a BMI over 35 and are considered to be "morbidly obese". It's also useful to help people to identify high fat foods if they've never dieted before. And what a deterrent - within 20 minutes of eating a really high fat meal you're running to the loo to get rid of 30% of the fat you've just eaten! You rarely eat fried foods again (I know!).

Sorry, just reminded me of my cousin, who went to the doctor with health problems and was told she was obese - but she misheard him and thought he called her A BEAST! hapy0002.gif
