i lost a hell of a lot of weight about 2 years ago thanks to the Atkins diet :money:

i had to give it up cos it proved quite expensive :o

i am now in a position to start it back up again :money: and indeed i am on my second day and so far top stuff.

i have always loved meat so its not a problem eating meat.

so anyone wanna share money saving tips and stuff??
and please no comments like `don't do it its bad for you`
i had all my check ups when on the diet before and everything was tickety boo.

The best way to achieve a healthy weight is by eating sensibly (ie eating the right foods and not too much of them) and exercising regularly.

Simple when you put it like that isn't it.

WOW, congratulations on your weight loss this month, that's absolutely fantastic! I only hope I can have a little of your success this month. What have you been doing to lose so much (apart from the swimming)?

Well done to all this weeks losers!

I've done the next 2 weeks shopping & got a lovely trout for tomorrow's dinner. I hadn't eaten before going (silly me) but I didn't buy anything that wasn't on my list, and I snacked on a peach walking back to my car.

I have my granma coming round for dinner on Wed night, I'm hoping to get my hands on a rabbit and make a pie.

I'm really interested to hear that you succeeded in losing weight - I know an awful lot of vegetarians (and slim or only very slightly overwight people) and so I never came accross a personal recommendation.
I've had to go from a very active lifestyle to an almost completely sedentary one over the last 3 years, and as a result have about 4.5 stones to lose somehow. The last straw was when I had my third (locked) bike stolen in a year - I can't afford to replace it and so hardly even go out of the house now.
I would be really interested in any comments you have on the Atkins diet and how you get on adapting meals etc to the regime, eg do you have a family and/or OH? If so do you all eat the Atkins way or do you do seperate meals for yourself?
