Now what's this about nothing having been in your neighbour for 8 years?

You plonker!! You didn't read it right, but I will explain - our neighbour asked MrP whether we ever used our garage because since the 8 years that he has lived next door to us our car has always been left on our drive, never in the garage, overnight - see, quite easy. Streuth, men :confused: :rotfl: Actually it is way longer than 8 years, that's only the number of years that our neighbour knows, if I cast my mind back it may be 12+ years:o

  • Spirit if you scroll back to page 1 you'll see a reply from me and ftbworried,I hope this helps somewhat :j The 2lb club is now run by dellybelly who will include you on the chart. We choose to set ourselves mini targets of 5lb per month as it's more sustainable to most folk than 2lb per week, but you can lose as much as you want :D Use any diet plan that suits you, be it WW SW or plain healthy eating, but make sure that it's one that you can fit into your lifestyle and include stuff that you like, otherwise boredom will soon set in and you'll start to stray.

Edit BTW I keep meaning to try the grocery challenge, but forget to keep a tally for a month :o Do you find that it's helped you be more savvy?

Thanks for the reply and I will return to page 1.

Last month was my first grocery challenge and it halved what we had been spending, but we did use up the store cupboard. This month we have eaten extremely well and I have found keeping track is easy - I use https://www.spendingdiary.com

I am hoping the improved meal planning will help with losing weight

  • Hi everyone, welcome to all the newbies.
Thanks for the new thread Suggs.
Right I've made a decision of what I'm gonna do. I went to Asda this afternoon and they had the Cook yourself slim book there so I've bought that for inspiration. I'm going to make sure I make time to eat 3 proper meals a day, snack on fruit and cut out the rubbish. My trouble is I'm usually rushing about here there and everywhere and just grabbing something (chocolate :o ) because I'm starving. So thats the plan anyway feeling more positive now I've made my mind up.
    Hope everyones well.

Top tip: divide up a bag of dried fruit and nuts or something like that and keep a portion in your handbag...replace as necessary...then you always have something to munch on the go...could also work with fruit but only if they don't get squished
