No way KPC, I thought you had that all sorted!

Um, I have just had a mare with matched betting, due to my own stupidity (hope Ajax isn't lurking) - I think I've rectified it but we'll have to see after the Newcastle game. It's certainly a steep learning curve!!!

Still on the straight and narrow foodwise, so not slipping off now...

  • thanks for the kind words guys - plumber is a one man band kind of a guy who would just not come out if I tried setting limits. It hasn't actually been too bad until last night - the weather just totally changed in leeds and it's now freezing cold. Thanks goodness we have an electric shower and an open fire! lol at NW setting fire to the shed. I'd be really hackedoff it i were you, they're really messing you around. All my plumber keeps saying is that all the jobs he's got on are breakdowns and he'll get to me when he can. Wouldn;'t have been so bad but found another plumber who came and looked at it and said he'd get his mate out to it. the mate never showed up and the guy wouldn;t give me his number - said he mustn't want hte work. Do they teach you to be so flaming obstreperous at plumbers school? is there a course? my dad is looking at driving his plumber over from manchester to fix it for me at hte mo. sigh. off to snuggle up in front of hte fire with oh half now. There are SOME compensations . . . . .

Well, I decided to get back to weightwatchers tonight. I haven't gone in the 2 weeks since my op. I'm pleased to say that I've stayed the same.:j

I'm really happy about that. When I was off sick earlier in the year I managed to put on 2lbs per week for 7 weeks and I was worried the same would happen again. I know that earlier last week I thought I may have lost up to 1.5lbs but with the amount of rubbish I've ate in the last week I'm lucky to get off so lightly. This is why I went back to WW this week and have already menu planned with OH for the rest of the week. .. If anyone is looking for ideas here's my menu:

    Monday: Irish Stew
Tuesday: Pasta bake w/ roasted veg.
Wednesday: Garlic & Herb Chicken, farmhouse veg & potatoes
Thursday: Sandra's chicken curry with brown rice
Friday: Gammon, beans & mashed potatoes (I'm having gammon that's allowed on the core plan, sausages are not).
    Saturday: rice dish
Sunday: Roast chicken Sunday Dinner (no roast potatoes though).

I wanted to ask earlier but kept forgetting: My favourite low fat/calorie treat is to have chopped fruit and a glass of sparkling water served in a wine glass. I'm looking for other ideas for low fat treats. My question is this:

What is your favourite low fat/low calorie treat?
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Beanie According to my little book a standard Wispa is 215 calories, hope this helps :D ...

...Well done delly :j :j and thanks for your menu plan, since I've not been doing them, my bank account shows daily withdrawals just because I haven't planned and bought food that I really didn't need, even though the freezers (I have 2) are crammed full  ...

Petrichor - I think it's time you wrote a list of what's in your freezers and did a bit of this: not-tagged-smiley-13620.gif Looking forward to seeing your menu plan in the next couple of days for some ideas.

I have to admit,:o in my most organised times, I actually list what's in my freezer and stick the list on the outside of it, crossing off each item as I take it out and use it! ....really sad, I know!

Ok, another question. Has anyone ever eaten falafels? I've found a recipie for them in my MiL's 123 success cookbook and it looks quite interesting, especially as a packed lunch option.

Just one other thing. I've found this smilie: 2q9kweu.gif Now that my op is over, it's how I've been feeling about my weightloss.... ah well, even the longest journey starts with one step. Day one tomorrow.

Yikes, my wardrobe is so bare now! I was very ruthless with the sort out, but I'm down to just 30 garments total and that includes the few bits I bought in M&S today!

petrichor - thank you! Yes, I realise if I go for another half stone it's going to be more difficult and slower again, that's exactly what I've found with each half that's come off. Luckily determination is something I have in abundance, I just refuse to fail. My bra size hasn't changed - I'm stuck with these 32F's! I may be able to get into size 8 trousers but the top half is a different matter entirely, hahaha!

dellybelly - thank you too! I had to laugh at the bit about me losing almost 3lb after only being here for a day, if only it was that easy, eh ;) Well done on not gaining while you've been out of action, that's brilliant news.

wilroda - let us know how you get on at the gym. I think it's natural that people look at each other and their bodies, for me I would look at the fit/slim ones and hope I might get a body like that, and if anyone was a bit bigger I'd think good on them! If anyone ever judged me while I was there, that's their problem not mine, and they are not the sort of people whose opinions I care about :)

emmalis - home gyms are fab aren't they! I have one now, which I've just recently put together and I absolutely love it. Hope your daughter continues to do well with the potty training, and I hope Boots scales agree with your Mum's!

    Goodnight all :)

Well good news was that when I got home there was a note in the door from the boiler company saying ring up to make an appointment. So rang them direct this morning and the "engineer"? is in the area today and hopes to fit us in this pm. :D

Definitely easier to deal with the contractors direct rather than the Housing Assoc repair line
