Your exercise regime is almost exactly the same as mine only we don't have any pools near us for aqua fit. My last hydrotherapy session is next week and I then have to go back on the waiting list to give other people the chance to use it. At the GP referral I do 2 mins on the bike, 2 x 5 on the treadmill walking and at home about 2 mins on my mini trampoline. Its not a lot but for me it is making a difference and keeping me mobile.

as you say its making a difference & keeping you mo0bile & at the end of the day thats wha its all about.Take care.

Swap box done. I find these things very hard to do, cos I worry that what I think is nice and fun, other people think is cr#p. Anyway, to the recipient...I tried.

BTW Are we supposed to say in the box who it is from?

Me as well!!

•
I'm a MiL  ..... oh I must be awful. It is a minefield trying to do it properly, but I rely entirely on my DD telling me what to do /say most of the time. And then I get it wrong.
Can I just say in defence of the great tribe of MiLs that we didn't exactly choose to turn into monsters ... our sons and daughters did it to us. (and anyway MY MiL was far worse than anyone's ;) )

I'll get my broomstick and go now.
I refuse to believe you're a bad m-in-law grannynise. I'd vote for you any day :D .(btw, forgot to say soz you are having such a horrid time at work: your job must be very stressful: I'm sure knowledge of the very existence of Stuart helps you through the day :D )
Def put your name in the swop box. First thing I want to know, now I've got mine is who sent it??? There is no way I will be disappointed what ever is in it.

Petrichor...needle and thread? Aren't needles those pointy things that hurt? Afraid I use that iron on stuff to turn my trousers up. :D . The things mums do for grown up daughters: that's true love :rotfl: .
Been desperate for comfort food tonight. Managed to resist, mainly by not having any in the house. OH finally seems to be learning that when I sit here whineing for chocolate he is not to leap up and offer to go to the corner shop out of love and adoration :rotfl: . Will have to eat something before I go to bed, which should be soon as I am sooo tired.

• bails - I'm glad that things are working out better. Christmas is always a minefield. This year, I've decided to stay at home with OH and DS. I usually go to my mums. I had a disasterous christmas at MiL's 3 years ago and swore I'd never go back. 2 years ago DS was only 6 weeks old and I told the inlaws I'd be at my mum's that year. Last year, I managed to get out of it because my niece was with our family for the first time in her life and I always told my MiL if we ever got her at christmas, I'd be spending it with the rest of my family. This year, I've decided to put the needs of my own family first. Of course, have promised to go visiting after dinner (and Dr. Who) but I only plan to be out for an hour or two max and then it'll be home again to light the fire and have christmas drinkies! Whoo hoo!.

As for swap boxes, two things. I haven't sorted mine out yet either BUT do you not think that your swapee will work out who it's from by the postmark? I know whoever gets mine will be able to tell straight away!
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.

No. A lot of people don't say where they are from, and then for example, anything posted from Brighton has a Gatwick or Redhill postmark (sorting office an hours drive away) so that wouldn't be a clue. The one I received today had no postmark on it at all!

Would you like to take bets on that one? I see your witchy MiL and raise you a demon from the 7th circle of hell.......:rotfl: :rotfl:

Besides, I bet you're a lovely MiL....it's probably your SiL and DiL who are demented (at least that's going to me my excuse in 20 odd years when DS finds himself a partner!).

...Sorry Bails I don't mean to trivialise it all, it must be hard, I didn't like my Mil so I just used to ignore her as much as I could; and I hope that today is better for you, you sound as if you're striking the right balance :j ...

I never thought of that, does it work? Don't you see a 'flat mark'? Oh what the heck, sounds good to me ;) Thanks ol' chum :T . I hope you resisted the comfort food, remember it's all in your mind, you don't really need it. NO YOU DON'T stop arguing! :D ...

...Re the swap box thingy stuff, katiepc said we could put a note in if we wanted to. I've bought a card to put in mine, but I think I shall refrain from putting my address on it just to avoid any hate mail :rotfl: :rotfl: Crumbs, you've got me worried now :o Just got to get it wrapped then up to the PO I go...

Ha ha, glad to see we're all on form! Morning all!

More than happy for the MiL situation to be trivialised Petrichor, it helps in fact so keep 'em coming!

So, MiL successfully auditioned for a leading role at Hogwarts last night and I've been avoiding the Avada Kedavra curses ever since!!:rotfl:She is being hideous to both of us, OH is taking it v badly but it'll all pass, eventually...(won't it?)

Grannynise
, there aint no way you fit into the evil MiL category, you're far too lovely!

Got to get back to healthy eating - haven't been terrible but the slightest deviation sends the scales soaring for me. Back to it though!

Have loads to do today and this weekend (including my swap box before I get lynched!) but hoping to find some time/energy for some exercise. Need to make a plan.

Well done to everyone who's seeing the benefits of exercise - it's important to do whatever we can manage, it all helps doesn't it? Especially sending the old endorphins round; I love them!

Have a great Friday everyone, it's almost the weekend! xx

Glad to see you are more upbeat today bails :D:D
just off into town for my exercise, it is 1.5 miles away, not much I know but something;) I walk there, all around it, do the shopping and back again, because of the arthritis am not supposed to carry anything because it makes it worse so have got myself a 4 wheel trolley, my teenage son hates it passionately and says I have been put on this earth to embarass him:rotfl: :rotfl: that he will never walk with me ever again if I take the trolley:rotfl: but on the other hand my 7 year old thinks it is the most fun he has had and loves to push it all around and back again:D

No kids with me today so they are safe from the trolley hell their own mother has put them in, oh well saves me carrying anything and I do like to shop me :D
