...Now back to slimming... I had a Tesco Cheese and Cauliflower Grill (from their meat free range) for my dinner and it was lovely, I had it with baked tomato (stuffed with basil mint) and onion. They are only 160cals, 7.4g fat of which 1.1g is saturates. It felt as if I'd had something non slimming :j

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

I had WW chicken and vegetable curry home made of course and it was yum, H loved it too but he had sainsburys be good to yourself nan bread, little ones and when I was there today I put £2 worth of stamps on the card to save for xmas, wow we are going to have a rave up at this speed:D :rotfl:

I have a list for xmas on the computer so each year I cross off as I go, not this year I AM not having shortbread (oh the calories, the fat!!) my fav though, H does not want all the nuts, figs, sweets, pringles, nibbles, cheeses we used to get so it could be alot cheaper than other years and a bit healthier and not too many lbs piled on over xmas:j :j

4xovo11.gifrachelja and welcome to this lovely thread. You don't have to wait to join the 2lb club, delly'll include you as soon as she gets organised :D so start your slimming now!!! Do you have any particular plan in mind? We just about cover every method going here, so feel free to ask if you want to know anything :j and make sure that you stay with us especially if times get a bit tough and you get a bit disheartened, we've all been through it and the support to be had from here helps us through those times :D ...

Thanks for the reply! Not sure about the plan to start with. Getting more organised (cutting out the galaxy and crisps and diet coke breakfast :eek: ) would be a good start. Still getting used to sleepless nights and getting 2 children ready in the morning as opposed to one!
Re the 2lb loss club do we pm totals every thurs then? sorry if stupid qu.

Loved it Suggs! And the one on the left looks quite a lot like me ... something about the fierce expression and the crumbly face I think.

My own dream man is Stewart Ainsworth from Time Team .... SO not a hunk but ...Stewart Ainsworth, Time Team's 'lumps and bumps' man. is what it says on the time team website ... if he likes lumps and bumps I'm the woman for him! And as an archeaologist he'd like old things too. I don't know how to put pictures into posts but it'd only overheat you to see him (I spent my wedding anniversary weekend with him actually and Mr GN)

I don't me believe it grannynise: at last someone else who can see what I'm on about with Stewart. I'm fixed to my screen every sunday after Xmas waiting for Stewart to appear :D . The photo does not do him justice what so ever petrichor but thanks for trying.
Def my dream man too. How come you get to spend your wedding anniversary with him Can you fix me up with a date? Obviously I'd have to bring Mr bb along but he's mega into archaeolgy so he'd not be twiddling his thuimbs while I was lost in drool city.

•
Funny thought you liked the hunky rugby player??? :p
No, I just like certain people in rugby kit :D .

Just back from a supper party. Ate what was on offer but had sensible portions and didn't trough seconds and thirds. Feel very pleased with myself.
Out all day tomorrow and already made packed luch, elevenses and threeses so don't get caught short with no grub.
Have a good day all

• Hi Everyone,

For regulars, please bear with me, this is a short explanation of the 2lb club for any new posters:

The 2lb club was originally set up by Lois Lane. The idea was to motivate us to try to lose the recommended 1-2lbs per week. However, stones on the road of life means that sometimes we fall off the wagon (birthdays, medication, illness etc.) and can't acheive 2lbs per week so we also set ourselves a monthly challenge to lose 5lbs which is a more achieveable target.

The current monthly challenge is running until Wednesday 3rd October. And the new chart is posted every Wednesday and most peeps going it alone choose this as their weigh in day and post their results on here.

If anyone would like to be included in the chart, simply post on the LW15 thread and I'll be happy to add you on. There's no need to let me know how much you want to lose, just let me know your results every week (preferrably on or before Wednesday).

The latest chart is here.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Morning all

It's unusual for me to be the first one to post in the morning, where are you all, you sleepyheads!! ;)

Had a lovely evening at friends - stuck to one glass of wine, and didn't get home until 2am, but I'm wide awake this morning for some reason.

I don't know how many of you remember that I used to have something in my sig about saving up to go to Vegas, well it's finally becoming a reality - we're going with the friends from last night, we've come up with a date and we're going in April (I'm so excited :D:D).

Back to losing weight, I'm going to use that as my incentive (that and my holiday pictures from Italy, which could form part of a before and after slideshow!) and I'm going to set myself a realistic target to achieve by the time we go and do a countdown signature.

Victory - there's a MSE way to make money from those stamp machines in the supermarket - check this out. Good for you for planning ahead too - it is possible to eat healthily at Christmas without denying yourself all treats, and still enjoy what you have. I used to go through the whole annual ritual of spending a fortune on all those things we like to nibble on, and I always bought a Christmas cake, which hardly ever got eaten, and ended up eating it rather than throw it away.

Rachelja - had to laugh at your breakfast, galaxy, crisps and diet coke! Welcome to LW and good luck with your weight loss, it's not easy trying to plan when you've got 2 little ones taking up all your time.

Suggs - love the gingerbread Haka :D

See you all later - have a good weekend everyone.

Morning peeps:D if anyone is struggling like last weekend just think of today as a normal day and make sure that you plan for all the meals, planning is the key as well as having healthy quick things in the fridge, cupboards, fruit so you don't stray and feel you have to reach for the bad stuff....
I find if I let myself get hungry I get irritable and stressy and make bad choices because I think that is going to fill me up when it is not, it is just empty calories and they do more lasting weight gain damage than good, so if I AM having a bad day I make sure that my lunch is ready well before the time so I can see it, see what I am going to eat and know I have made the right choice, dinner the same, it is all in the planning...
If there is no time to plan, buy, prepare, why not buy WW meals or Sainsburys be good to yourself meals that take 5 mins and have the portion size all ready prepared for you and the points value/calories/fats etc so there is no thinking involved... I prefer to cook from scratch as you get more and know what is in it but the meals can be invaluable and at least you know you are eating the right healthy foods as opposed to a fast full of calories take away that might stay with you long after you have eaten it:D

• Morning people. Tired today, LO didn't sleep any less than usual but my reserves are soooo low after 2 months of wakeful nights!

My new breakfast staple is porridge - quicker than toast and healthier too. I just chuck the oats in a bowl, add some hot water then zap in the microwave. I even add some fruit sometimes if I'm feeling wild and crazy, it's still the fastest brekkie when there's a small and insistent baby awaiting my attention!

Well, it looks like transition time - again. MrsA has decided that the WW grass wasn't greener after all and wants to use the SW plan again but without going to class. It's swings and roundabouts for me but it makes sense to follow her so that we can have the same meals. I have no idea what to expect from the scales over the next couple of weeks while things get ironed out

Oooh goody, a new page. No pictures of blokes :D
