Aww, poor you Ajax - Imagine being forced to work at the weekend! Such tyranny!
I was interested to hear that MrsA is going back to SW. How much weight did she lose on WW? I still have another 5 points to claw back today and tomorrow and am still not hopeful of a loss this week. A maintain would be good.
I'm really going to have to re-focus over the next 2 weeks as I'm due to get an Op. on 6th October. (and am totally bricking it!).Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

....I don't know exactly how much but it was between 7 and 14 lbs as she has one silver 7. That's in 6 weeks or so, so not bad and comparable to SW. She just misses her pasta and is willing to sacrifice the bread to get it.0 -
Didn't get time to come here yesterday. Don't mention the tennis; I recorded the GB v Croatia match only to miss the end of it because the BBC switched channels half way through so I missed the end   and it was Tim's last match   So to console myself I thought I'd watch the USA v Sweden match (The Bryans remember) but I accidentally deleted it  :rotfl:  :rotfl:
, Oh Well!!...
......natanddan1 8st may seem a lot but quite a few folk here have tackled and dealt with this amount, so you are not alone, just take it bit by bit and the time will soon go along with the lbs
...and julesgr I'm pleased that you've decided to join us, and well done in already losing 23lbs :j ...I look forward to hearing more about you both...
...Well done notanothergreyhair on achieving the 1 stone mark :j keep it up...
...beanie I wish your lovely friend the best of luck today, I had no idea that trikes were so expensive, (but now I think about it they'd have to be), what a great person she is for doing this for you :T I shall change my avatar to something more beanie friendlydo you have any preference?
...Lois Well done on getting the LV holiday sorted out :j (remember Grissom's mine  ) it really is the best incentive to have. I shall have to have word(s) with MrP. I'd mislaid my password for IM (different to the usual ones), but now found itso hopefully you can give more details later...
...ajax I'm sorry to hear that Mrs A is still appears unsettled about slimming, there really isn't an easy option, but the best thing that she can have at the moment is you!!! Your continued support is second to none - well done you :A ...
...Hmmmm! All this talk of Christmas, I know the time will soon pass, but like some of you I think this year will be a lot less costly as I don't intend to buy the things that I usually buy only because I think I should, but don't really want - I stopped buying cake years ago as it used to be ignored until about Easter and then eaten in waste (didn't really like the stuff anyway)...
...ajax What do you, as a vegetarian, have for your Christmas dinner? Last year we had a change from Turkey, so as I've broken that tradition, I may consider putting a veggie option on the table...
...I hope everyone has a good day, remember ANYTHING NIBBLED THAT ISN'T YOUR PLAN HAS DOUBLE THE CALORIES
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

You know, that's actually a really good weightloss - almost a stone in 7 weeks. Mrs A should really be proud of herself.
I completely understand how she feels about swapping though. It's very difficult to find a plan that you can work with. My biggest regret was actually leaving WW for SW last year. It seemed like a terrific plan but I just couldn't stick to it. That's why I'm back at WW this year and hoping to stick with it till the bitter end.
I remember from my RC days that my weightloss was always really good for 3 weeks and then Pi** poor for another two (something to do with my cycle). It usually went something like 1lb first week, 2lb second week 1lb third week , gain 4th week and maintain 5th week. I'm going to track it a bit more carefully this time to try and identify the pattern more clearly.
I think I also need to do a huge amount (Suggs like) of exercise in order to see significant losses. I also think that being a carb junkie, I might need to change to a more protein based diet (total mesomorphic body shape) and see if that makes any difference. I'm not planning Aktins type proportions by any means, just a little experiment to see if sacrificing carbs for protein makes a difference. I'm going to have to wait till after my op for this as the gall stones means I can only tackle vegetable protein at the minute and my IBS can't stand pulses. For now, my goal is to stick within my points allowance every day and see how that goes.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

.....ooooh "Stuff Christmas - Have A Happy Turkey"
Christmas dinner is my favourite meal of the year and definitely one where the counting stops. Last year I got everything I fancied as it was our first Christmas in our dream house, and she was playing hostess to my in-laws. It was Quorn Roast, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, mashed potatoes, peas, baby carrots, gravy, apple sauce and cranberry sauce. I even went to get a round of bread to mop up my excess gravy
. All it needed was for me to sit down and undo the trousers button, a la Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond

...... lol you can't make it up as you go along.0 -

...hahahha brilliant. What's that about horses for courses? (not that I'm calling you a horse)
I think she was closer to the 7 than the 14 so about 1.5 lbs a week. Yep, healthy average.dellybelly wrote: »I think I also need to do a huge amount (Suggs like) of exercise in order to see significant losses. .... and there it is. I'm lost. I'm a bear of very little brain and big words confuse me0 -
I'm shaped like a cave woman Ajax and no, not like Raquel Welch in 10,000 bc (mores the pity). Average height, short limbed and curvy. My body type puts on weight easily and loses with great difficulty. Fantastic in a stone age situation but not so great in the modern world.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0

.... sounds ok to me. Can I pop round with a bottle of plonk when MrD has gone to play darts?
EDIT: Sorry, where's my manners? "Please?"0
