Well this is the weekend of the sponsored cycle that my friend is doing to help raise money for my trike.
The weather today has been good for her(was worried it would pour with rain today).
Hope it all goes well. We've got about £440 so far.Think shes hoping for about £600 in total so can get a folding one.
    Will keep you posted.

Whats a GP referral atthe gym?

I do enjoy swimming and have been a member of a gym for a couple of years, however not used it for ages. Still thinking about joining slimming world for a bit of support! Also, it does help me to have to get weighed evey week

SOME GPs in SOME areas have the power to refer patients to a free Slimming World trial (13 weeks I think). It all depends on which local authority, but the worst you can get is a "Sorry, we don't do that" if you ask about it.

Sorry to be a pest but do any of you nice people know of a healthy, low fat recipe I can use a marrow for?

I have never had marrow before in my life so have no idea what it tastes like - in fact I don't even know what it looks like under the green skin.

My friend gave me one that she had grown in her garden and I would feel really guilty not using it.

I tried googling for recipes but all I seemed to get were deep fried recipes or stuffing it but to be honest my lot don't eat vegetables at all and I think I may end up eating it myself so don't think I could cope with a whole stuffed marrow in one sitting.
  • You can roast marrow and serve it with a tomato sauce or use it as an alternative to courgette in other recipes.

Could always do a soup with it too I guess.

I've lurked on the lose weight threads for a while but have decided to take part finally! I've been on a weight loss plan for 7 weeks now and have so far lost 23lbs with a hell of a lot more to go.
    Weight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j
