    Hugs to all
    Nels xx

Aww Nels, so sorry to hear about your uncle. Yes it will be hard to see your mum grieving so much, but with your support she will pull through soon.

My very best wishes at this sad time, Nels. (((HUGS)))
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
  • The magnetic knickers are supposed to work like the magnetic bracelets that people wear for aching joints, it's a magnetic pad that you wear in the front of your knickers & it draws out all the aches & pains assosiated with the change.
The problem is everything metal sticks to it, if I was wearing one I think I'd stop & check the front of my clothing before I stood up, but she keeps forgetting.
I'm thinking of getting one to collect the pins I drop when I'm dressmaking, lol.

Never let success go to your head, never let failure go to your heart.

    Evening all,

Am hopping mad at myself....managed to spend €115.51 today in Dunnes and butchers..kinda got sucked in as went out to get potatoes and soya milk for DGS2....will still have to spend some money to see us through but what I bought today will keep DD4 and DGS2 going when we are away first week October...spending on holiday food etc comes from a different budget so hopefully will claw back some of overspend over next few months, leaving budget at €330 for now.

Csarina...have you tried the lavender for sleep?

PenPin...glad that you were feeling better after your trip...what a wonderful OH!

    :bdaycake: Happy birthday Master Catowen

Hester...good one on the heater, sorry to hear about OH's depression, has your lodger never heard of taxis? Take care of yourself

Beemuzed...hope that you find your mum improved...don't think that there is a time on recovery.

    Ageandjo...welcome back.

MrsMCawber....take a rest, hope that your mum and sister are fit and well soon.

Kyle...hope that you feel better soon

Redruby...I have had several mammograms and found that if you get uptight it feels worse than if you can relax...yeah not easy I know but it only takes a couple of minutes and is uncomfortable rather than painful

KuneKune....hope that the househusband thing works out well.

    Essexgirl...enjoy your C shopping.

Frogga....you did the right thing if you feel that you can't trust yourself......

Culpepper...glad that you have recovered your silverware!

    TiredMum...good luck with job hunt

    Princesstippytoes...welcome to OS

MadDogWoman...DD3 has been trying to get me to do Pilates, luckily class was full! In your opinion is it a suitable exercise for an old woman of 62 who has rarely been fit in her long life

Nicola 1982....stay where you are...although the bum gets sore after a while doesn't it

Still really jealous of you lot who are getting all these ripe blackberries...very sparse crop of ripe ones here, lots of elderberries just ripening so may have to start with them...didn't like jelly I made with them so will mix with a few apples I think, or I could just make wine...

Love to all, hugs to anyone in need.

  • Hi there Meanmarie...

thanks for the kind thoughts (and everyone else who has been sending them)...mum has been back at hospital for her checkup - she has been told "no need to go back" :T ..and she popped in to see sis whilst she was there... and apparently she has never felt or looked so well:D ..she didn't realise just how ill she has been feeling ... but they have told her today that the mass they removed weighed at least 16lbs and it was floating in a sack containing 4 litres of blood  ...which explains, why she is always aneamic and run down..eughhhh - so they are saying that they have taken away roughly 21lbs.... but the hopefull news is that if, when the results come back - it is the worse outcome, because it was pretty much contained in the fluid she should only need 1 dose of chemo..:D ...... but she has been warned to take it easy, as even though she feels better -they had to do a radical hysterectomy....
So thankyou all for your kind wishes..

Hugs to everyone in need....have a good evening

  • Hester :rotfl:Magnetic undies. Whatever next. Have you asked her if they work?
Quasar Yes please about the recipe. Well done on your weight loss.
    PTToes Welcome to OS.
MrsMac Good news about Mum. I still can't get my head around your sis having a lump in her tummy that weighed 16lb. That's twice the size of a big baby. I would have asked them to take a picture of it. :D

Lovely sunny day here. I'm off to get Benny a trim on the other island this morning. Have to hang around for a couple of hours so I'll take my hovel book. ;) Nearly finished it. Hope you all get a good night's sleep. Off to have a quick snoop while the washings on & then I better get moving. Byeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • G'day Aussie!! Did ya sleep well cobber!!! ;) (How was that?):p

Packed lunches are made, DW, BM and WM on. Uniforms laid out for the morning and breakfast table set. I wish I could say that all this preparation makes for a smooth and trouble free morning in the Haribo household but alas it doesn't work that way.

Hester your undies story reminds me that on Sunday I couldn't work out why my keys kept jumping on to my coat until I realised dtwin1 had put a couple of magnets in my pocket. At least she didn't slip them into my knickers. :D Hope your hubby feels better soon. x

Mrs Mix... Your poor girl. That's horrible!

    Welcome PrincessTippytoes!!

See you in the morning all.

    Haribo x
  • carp. :p Nobody talks like that. :D Back to the drawing board. Sigh.

I know my Aussie speak. I watch neighbours.;) And don't think I didn't see you driving through Scotland in your pink convertible and bouffant hair looking for a pond to catch some yabbies. ;):D

I'm off to catch a haggis.

    Nght night. x
