  • Good morning everyone,

    Happy 11th birthday Catowens DS!

I have to agree with everyone on the weather…it’s rather unpleasant here too!

Hope you're all happy and healthy and well today!

    Morning All

Had abit of sleep in this morning and now I cant get motivated. Have lots to do today in the house plus we are desperate for shopping. DH got paid today and so I need to do the budget.

DD is suppose to be going out with my dsis this afternoon so I'm going to spend the time doing some decluttering. Really looking forward to sorting out my wardrobe out, I only did the drawers last time.

    Have a good day everyone

Loads of news today so here goes - Many Happy Returns to Master Catowen
    Heavenleigh - excellent news
Nelski - hope its goes as well as can be expected today
    Welcome back Ageandjo
(((Hugs)))) to PP, Kyle and Hester hope you all feel better soon.
DLB - we are a true blue house and we are mourning the loss of Jose (me especially - easy on the eye and made me laugh)

Perfect drying day here at the moment, sunny with a strong warm breeze.
Am in my office for a least an hour then will be doing some housework and the small (small!!) amount of ironing that I have. Dinner will be sausages, mash veg and onions.

Need to look at what and when I need to pay for our Florida holiday later, unfortunately American Express have cancelled their travellers cheque card so need to think about currency also.

Want to get loads done today so can go Xmas shopping tomorrow with a clear house and concience (sp). One of the mums thought I was mad to go Xmas shopping this early as she hates it - I explained that its because I hate it that I get it over and done with and dont have to do much in December.

Anyway best be off, have a great day.x

    Morning!
I've been clearing DS's bedroom since yesterday morning. Bleh! He is at uni now and decided to tidy it before he left to remove any incriminating evidence :P Actually I have found half the cutlery we own hidden in piles of old underpants and fluff under the bed so the incriminating stuff must have been far more terrible :D
I also found the 'lost' front door key and 2 mobile phones which mysteriously disappeared over the years. You can tell his room cleaning was his responsibility can't you? The phones are both charged and will be cleared of details ready to sell at some point.
I went into town yesterday to deposit a cheque from school after they cancelled a school trip and on the way back noticed a large wheeled suitcase with a bit of rain splashing on it ,sitting waiting for the dustmen. Needless to say it is now at home and cleaned of the marks(hooray for stardrops) and awaiting DD's uni trip next year. No funny smells or tears, the zips were all fine and the interior looks as if it had never been used.
Will have a cuppa in a minute and then back to hoover the gory remains.
Tonights tea will be chicken and pasta. Still got to get used to not making enough for 4 . The bread maker doesnt need to go on today either as the DS isn't here to feast on toast for supper. Guess I will get used to his abscence at some point sigh! Good thing we have email and SKYPE.
    Well must get on...

KuneKune What made you move back from NZ?

A mixture of things. We were there for 20 years or so, and have citizenship, the children were born there and there's no doubt who we support in any sports match. But ... my mum died a few years ago, my dad isn't well, and the ILs are getting on as well. My FIL won't fly and had never met the children. My MIL (they aren't together) was finding it really hard to come too, what with angina and stuff. So if we wanted the children to be part of an extended family, we had to come back. Also, I get paid better here, even allowing for house prices: being relaxed about one income would not have happened on NZ salaries. But I do miss the space, and seeing the sea every day (we lived just outside Wellington).

  • Morning :hello:

Last day off sick I hope. Really need to get back into the office tommorrow. But because I haven't been ill enough to lie in bed all day while I've been off I've managed to get loads done. All the cupboards and wardrobes are sorted and the house feels very clean. Just need to tidy up the garden this weekend and we're sorted. ;)
Plans for today are to do a bit more ironing, prep tea (spanish omlettes), tidy kids' room and tackle under my bed!!!

    Happy Birthday Master Catowen!!
