Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 20/09/07 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Been to bed, cannot sleep so made a drink and decided to surf for an hour or so. Its still raining for which we are grateful, we will not have to water at the allotment........
OH is snoriing fit to bust which hasn't helped........ but then he can snore for England given the chance.
Hopefully will get my laptop back either today or tomorrow, this one is k*******d the disc is almost full and I do not want to put a bigger drive in, the case is cracked, will have to look for a cheapie for OH when this one gives up the ghost, which could be anytime!!!!!
A quick trip to Argos this morning to collect the jigsaw, them Wilkos to get some plasterboard rawlplugs and possibly a set of mirror plates for another little job I want to do. Hope my cordless drill will cope, do not want to have to ask DD, they are due to go to Turkey soon,
Right I am off to surf for a while, see y'all later................

Morning Guys!
Its been a difficult 24 hrs here with everything going on. TBH, I dont really want to talk about it though.
Beds need to be stripped as cleaner here today with fresh bedding. DW is on and WM will be on soon with first load of bedding.
I had the district nurse here yesterday and I am now a proud owner of a large injection discard box and a fresh supply as Im going to be having them for ages. I had forms to sign etc etc and just didnt need it. My mouth is hurting too but back at the hospital tomorrow.
Anyway, that its from me.
Hope everyone is OK and hugs to those that are not.

Well today is my wonderful sons 11th Birthday, and im just waiting for him to get up - i think i get just as excited as they do for Birthdays and Christmas!!! The only downer on today (apart from the weather) is his dad is coming down this afternoon - i normally spend their Birthdays with just us, but his dad asked if he could come down, and to be honest he sees them so infrequently and i wasnt sure when he would next be 'free' to see 'them' so ive said he can come - we always go to where the Birthday one wants to eat on their Bday, but maybe he will help pay seeing that he pays for little else!!!
So, apart from that to look forward to - (ok, im really not loking forward to seeing him, but i know DS will be happy, and thats the aim today) nothing much else planned. I have one LO here today, and we will be finishing DSs Birthday cake (need the chocolate fudge icing) so LO will be happy to lick the bowl later!!! Also need to do a big clean, when i have the babies here, that all goes out the window so with an older one here, i can get a bit more done.
Also need to get the BM on, as we have run out of bread.
Breakfast - Weetabix
Lunch - HM veg soup
Dinner - Out!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning
:grouphug: to Pen, hope things get better soon
Wet and miserable here today, it's also still quite dark (ish), so I think Summer has gone - I know, what Summer
Got to go and collect our travellers cheques today :j , and want to get some jazzy luggage straps - we've had new cases and they're black, so need some way of identifying them
Got some curry out of the freezer for lunch, and salmon and parsley sauce for dinner as I need to use up some veg
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Morning all
A very quick post from me today.
congrats to Cat on the winnings, hugs to PP, good news Heaven, hugs to any I've forgotten.
Well one day of no photocopying till 10 was enough, I now have a new heater with a timer fixed to the wall in my office, they still won't pay for a new lock to hold the ouside door shut, so the heater will be warming the courtyard as well, but as the heater is only on for 2 hours, it's probably not too bad.
I'm in a lot of pain today, paper order arrived yesterday & the boxes weigh 15kg each & have to be lifted into cupboards, I ache from fingertip to fingertip and all the bits inbetween.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning everyone!
Hope you managed some sleep Csarina - I hate it when I have nights like that! Good luck with the interview Frogga. ((((HUGS)))) Pen Pin - and for anyone elsewho needs one. Catowen, hope you find the day is better than you expect and that your son really enjoys his birthday.
N9eav, the dullness must be pretty well everywhere, at least in the west and the east. Have hung washing out and it's really blowing well. (DH home today, so will rescue if the rain starts again - I hope.)
Last of the runner beans last night - they've been great this year - all that rain did some good! Just wish they went on longer, my favourite veg I think.
Ah well, must get ready for the day ahead. Expect to be in theclassroom again as the flu-like cold is spreading round the staff! Need to try to get ahead with weekend jobs tonight as must get down to Dorset Saturday to visit Mum. She's now on the rehab ward, but still no movement in her left arm or leg.Don't know whtat the time frame is for any recovery.
Have a good day everyone.
(Hester , Charlie's mum and Mrs Mix -you snuck in while I was typing - good morning!)Resolution:
