  • They do go through an age where they don't want to kiss and cuddle you in public. I was in town with my ds when he was 13 and we were holding hands and a group of boys from his school starting following us, they thought I was his girlfriend :rotfl: now at 24 he gives me cuddles and a kiss when we meet up and we often hold hands or walk arm in arm. My dd too

    Afternoon all :)
Nice to see some familiar names back :)
    For me today:
Finished off half an apple that GD didn't eat yesterday with breakfast
No heating downstairs till it is time to light the wood stove
Went to market in next town, as we had to go there anyway. Picked up cheese and ham cheaply (didn't need anything else). Also some bargainous unopened toiletries in one of the charity shops, Avon eye cream, box of 3 posh lip butters and a bar of nice handmade soap, all for £5 :)
    Walked dog (free exercise)
    Leftovers for lunch
    RM surveys tasks
    Post office with ebay sales
Popped in to sales unit, not done too badly in there this month :)
Listed a few more ebay items, no sales yet today though!
Dinner will be home made and from what I already have :)
  • Hi all

    welcome back Fat Von D.

I have had a difficult year aswell. My DH is totally not interested in any form of debt reduction and it is very hard to do this alone. His latest trick was to intercept a business cheque for stuff and very quietly saying nothing bank it into his private account. Only just saved myself the embarrassment from ringing to chase cheque by finding the well hidden evidence of his latest trick! £8000 so not a small amount and suppliers to us are waiting payment!!!!! I have not raised it, there would be no point, a screaming row and then my son who works with us would be his victim even more than normal going forwards. I would describe my life as like that of the little boy with his finger in the dam.
Not sure where this rant has come from. Never mind. Welcome back anyway FVD.

Currently reviewing life insurance again. I think I am actually going to have to cancel some and run the risk of not having enough. I have also renewed our electric contract. It will be an interesting one as I have just had a letter telling me the offer they made is now no longer and another 1 pence required on day and night units. A really great week all round.
Dogs are happy though, so that is good.

    Have a good day all.

M who is feeling a little defeated today.

Does talking your manager into buying the team breakfast count? I haven't technically saved anything but I won't be spending on a breakfast wrap either :D

    :)
I've picked up quite a few of these at our local cs this year and they've come in really handy for gifts/school fetes :)

My eldest decided to stay at a free afterschool activity club this afternoon, my friend invited me and my youngest round for a cuppa whilst we waited for him which was lovely to have chat and catchup :)
