What car do you have and whats it like?

Back on topic, we have a 2015 Nissan Juke Tekna (Diesel)
It's nice and comfortable, economical, and (while I'm sure not to everyone's taste) I like the quirkyness of it.
It was a choice between a Juke or a Captur. Captur was a bit more boring.
It'll be time to change again next year, thinking about leasing next time, not sure what yet though. Maybe a Range Rover Evoque.0 -

[DM101] Anyway, back to the original topic, I have a mighty E46 BMW 330Ci, and it's bloody brilliant. [/DM101]
And yes, I do actually have it, and I paid for it.0 -
Clearly you aren't aware that torque is a function of power. The 370z Nismo has 280lb ft of torque THROUGHOUT the rev range. The BMW 320d also has 280lb ft but runs out of puff very quickly whereas as the 370z keeps going, at any RPM and any speed. Ever driven a big V8 petrol like the Ferrari 458? It has large amounts of low down torque and torque at 8000rpm, and anywhere in between.
You can't compare a 2 litre diesel to a large displacement petrol engine designed for sport cars.
Exactly - so a 320d gives you the same amount of torque as a 370Z, thus for general driving and "on turbo" which is easy done, you've something thats going to feel a lot more responsive that being a 2.0d would suggest.
Also, and for the avoidance of doubt, the 370Z DOESNT have a flat torque curve - its relatively low below 3,000RPM, hence you'll have to drop a couple of cogs to get real get up and go.
Of course, you'd know that if you actually owned one....0 -

BeenThroughItAll how do you find the E46 330ci in terms of its performance and handling? Is it the SE or the MSport? How does it compare to the E36 M3 you once owned?
I find it perfectly adequate for the rigours of the daily commute, thanks. It's also every bit as good in the real world as either of the *actual, not imaginary* M cars I've owned, but a lot cheaper to own. Not quite as good on a track** perhaps, but fine for going to work, carting !!!! to the tip, and visiting Tesco on a Friday.
**my bike is much better on the track than either of them, to be fair; and yes, it's a BMW too.
For someone who's not been around long, you know a lot about my car ownership history, don't you?0
