Jaguar XK8 convertible and a Jaguar XJR. Both good to drive but watch that fuel gauge drop when you get enthusiastic.

The thing is he'll just turn another thread into a let's talk about BMW's and how good the M3 is using the information you've given him.

He'll manage to do that without my help! :D
  • 2007 Mitsubishi Colt 3-door 1.1 CZ1.

Bought second hand 3.5 years ago for 2 grand plus £900 trade-in for its predecessor. It had 40,000 miles on it when bought and It'll pass 100,000 miles at some point next month. In the time I've owned it, it's cost me tyres, brake discs and pads, servicing and the usual consumables. All it's needed beyond that so far is a bit of work when part of the gear linkage seized. This cannot go on!

The downside is that the trip computer display on the centre console doesn't work. Also, the two quid stick on clock (bought from eBay to make up for the lack of clock as display not working) has now broken as well. But the radio can still get Radio 4 longwave, so that's Test Match Special to compensate for the erratic performance of the CD player (it might play a CD, if it likes your face today).

The car still does 55mpg plus. And 0-60 by appointment only. I cross my fingers every time it goes into the garage because after the punishment it's had, the chance of it dying one day soon must be pretty high. Also, after this much (and let's not beat about the bush here) luck with not breaking down, every car I buy for the rest of my life will be about as reliable as the rubbish Peugeot 206 I had about 10 years ago.
Signature on hold as I've seen no unused witty comments to plaigarise.
