I take it the custard test involves a pic and some custard? The only problem I have is ... we don't have any custard.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

A 2013 Nissan 370Z Nismo but currently driving a 2005 Volvo S60 2.0T. The Nissan absolutely destroys most cars on the road, the handling is surreal and that POWER...on tap at any speed and rev...astonishingly fast even from 80mph to its limit of 155mph.
The Volvo on the other hand is a relaxing and comfortable cruiser.
You could sell them both and get an M3 - or for more torque I'd suggest you get a 3 litre BMW diesel.0 -
Alfa Romeo Spider Clverleaf as a second car. It is superb and has never let me down.

Nissan Qashqai, 2 months old. Every gadget you can want (lane changing alerts, it knows the speed limit on roads from signs, self-parking, parking sensors and 4 cameras, satnav, DAB radio, heated leather seats, auto-dimming lights, cruise control)
You get a nice high view of things, it's comfy, handles well for a big car. An all round good family car.0 -
I've got an 05reg Fiesta. And i often say i don't know why i keep it. Since i stopped working it hardly gets used, even more so since i got my bus pass. It's got a little over 30k on the clock, and the last few Mot certificates show somewhere between 200/300mls each year,
But i know if i sell it, that will be the day i want it. So most of the time it lives in the garage.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Jaguar xj8 3.2 bought at 4 years old in Feb 2002 for £15950. Current value around £1500-2000 so depreciation about £1000 per annum average but presumably now very low. Biggest repairs have been 4 new road springs (rust) and all new discs. No plans to sell, I think that I'll keep it until I die.0

Nissan Qashqai Acenta 2010 bought in 2011 for £14k with 6k miles. Now at 75k miles.
Good vfm given spec levels, been hassle free so far (touch wood) and very comfy as a family car which I've had since my son was born and now also have another 3 year old. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi from late 2008.
Other than a problem with the EGR valve (now sorted, thankfully) and someone kindly deciding to throw their shopping trolley across the car park at work subsequently denting my passenger door (Merry Christmas to you, too!) it's been hassle free.
Getting 61mpg and £20 VED.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

It's ok, Gilberto doesn't have the cars.0 -
I have a E 220 Avantgarde, late 2010. Had it for 3.5 years. It drives just fine, it had 51k on it when I bought it August 2013, it's now on 118k. Have kept the servicing with the main dealer. I have considered moving on to get something a little higher or an estate just for practicality, but not in a hurry.
Not counting depreciation. People put a real cost to these which is fine, but the cost is mainly high if you change your car too frequently and is a great tool for anyone wanting to sell you a PCP or those like whatcar that want advertising revenue from those that want to sell you a PCP.0
