Afternoon guys, later check in from me! No baby news! Have been to the clothes bank with OH this morning, managed to make just over £10, better than nothing I guess and an extra £10 in our mortgage deposit fund! Then me and hubby went out for breakfast, my due date is Monday so this could potentially be our last weekend as just us 2 so we decided to treat ourselves to a brekkie :) No other real plans for today, the weather has turned and its dark and raining here now! My list for today:

    - Check bank accounts
    - Swagbucks/My Survey/Nectar Canvass
    - Watch boxset
    - L/D from home
    - Look at finance spreadsheets - Try to plan the best and save for the low/no paid months on mat leave
    - Do an online Mr A shop

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and the weather is better where you all are! :) x

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hey All

Glad the jelly joke went down well. I was a bit wobbly about sharing that one ;)

La E I'm sorry you feel poorly. And I so hear you about not being able to afford the smallest thing to cheer you up. It will pass and the determination to keep debt slaying will kick back in.

Luckylady how annoying about your spreadsheet being wrong. I would have used up those lunch box bits too.

LittlePinkPurse how nice to see your check in, it's been a while.

    My small things for today

    1. Cycled an hours round trip for work. Took the opportunity to return some items I'd borrowed at the same time.
    2. Went to collect some stock and was treated to a free hot drink
    3. As I'd had a free hot drink I used my Costalott points to buy DH a free coffee
    4. Took sandwiches and jelly cake out for our lunch as DS has dance and we are out around 3 hours round trip.
    5. NSD 12 of the month. Really proud of myself and am challenging every thought I have on things we 'need' stretching the groceries till they scream, and generally being a tight wad. Standard behaviour but this month my motivation is really on point.
    6. £15 bid recieved on eBay for an item thats been relisted lots of times. Proves sometimes you have to persevere.
    7. Recieved a surprise last minute bit of work for this weekend which adds £100 to my business pot. So I paid off another £41 to chip my total into the next level. And hit 66% repaid too.
    8. Dinner will be chicken wings and rice with various veggies roasted, good for leftovers
    9. Have another hours cycling to do tonight so lots of free fitness today
    10. Starting to muse on where to move CC next month as the deal ends which means £15 will start to be added if I don't move it. Have some empty cards to look at before I need to apply for anything further.

Thanks Bob - I 'bought' myself some free kindle books to fix my shopping addiction and trying to focus on the positives. :)

Nice to see you again LPP - hope the house is coming along well.

Sorted a 0% balance transfer for the last part of my car loan today - hoping to clear it in 2y max.

Got so much to sort out for the car - service and first MOT on Monday, also breakdown cover runs out on 30 Nov and need car insurance from 7 Dec. Stressing me out - need to get them sorted rather than just thinking about them.

I cancelled Monday's work - sad because I could really have done with the £60 but not fair to go spreading germs!!

Right, best go - going for a bath and then a night of chilling out on the sofa (bit like every other Saturday night then :rotfl:)

Not much in the way of :money: but here goes
    * Ys bread for breakfast
    * Out to the coastal path with the kids bikes, got very wet but they enjoyed :)
    * Called into my parents for a cuppa and stayed for lunch :)
    * Walked into town to the cinema rather then pay for parking :)
    * Cinema tickets were bought last week mainly using gift cards, Fantastic Beasts & where to find them :):)
    * Took contraband sweets into the cinema for the kids :)
    * Walked back to the car via the co0p and picked up some ys courgettes :)
    * Home for hot chocolate, and cuddles with a blanket to get warm. Trying to keep heating to a minimum :)
    * Tea tonight has been toasted sandwiches, fruit & a cuppa soup. :)

Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

  • ys - yellow sticker reduced item. :D
I have insomnia. I've given up trying to get back to sleep and have gotten up for the day. I'm going to nap if I need to and try not to stress about it all (way easier said than done).
My main small thing today is to go to my mams house for lunch and loads of tlc. That sounds like a really good plan.
Hope everyone is doing ok - I have lots of guilt about not being around more but life just seems to be passing me by.

    Morning all

Not much to report here. Back into work again today. Need to work like the frickin clappers to get everything done!

    Yesterday's state of play:
    • B/L/D from stores - done
    • Heating off? - done
    • Overtime - done
    • Crochet (finished my hat. Looks ace. Just need a scarf now!) - done
    • No drinkies
    • Small shop - done
    • Run at lunchtime if the weather doesn't turn
    • Relist unsold ebay items

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Charge phone in work
    • Overtime
    • Run if weather not shocking
    • No drinkies
    • No cafe after work!
    • Relist unsold ebay items (forgot that the auction finishes today)
    • Minimal heating on
    • Crochet
    • Spreadsheet day (I sit down with OH once a week to do our accounts)
    Short and sweet today.

    Have a good one all
